DIY Galaxy Gummy Bears, Corinne VS Cooking

Galaxy Gummy Bears: A Cosmic Culinary Adventure

Hello there, internet! Welcome back to Corinne Vs Cooking, where we dive into the world of culinary exploration and creativity. Today, we're embarking on a cosmic journey to create Galaxy Gummy Bears, a treat that's out of this world. As you know, I'm a huge fan of gummy bears, and with thousands of your suggestions, I've decided to take on this challenge.

Before we begin, I want to assure you that I've done my research. I googled "Galaxy Gummy Bears" and found a video that showcased a variety of colorful gummies representing galaxy colors. However, I wanted to create something unique – a single gummy bear with all the colors mixed in. Sounds easy, right? Well, as we'll soon discover, it's not quite that simple.

To get started, I'll be using my magical butterfly pea flowers, which are also used in our previous Galaxy Lemonade recipe. These flowers will help us achieve that stunning blue color. Next, I'll be mixing together a blend of natural colors, including red, orange, yellow, green, and purple, to create an otherworldly hue. Now, let's get cooking!

As we layer the gummi liquid, strategery comes into play. We need to make sure the mixture stays together while still maintaining that celestial appearance. I've experimented with various ratios of gelatin to liquid, but it seems I didn't quite nail it.

The moment of truth has finally arrived – do we have a giant Galaxy gummy bear? Well, I'm pleased to report that we do! While it's not as impressive as I envisioned, our creation still works, kind of. The deep blue color is achieved, and the texture is slightly firm, which I'll admit, was one of my primary goals.

Now, let's talk about the taste. Unfortunately, flavored gelatin didn't quite live up to its promise, leaving us with a flavor that's more akin to melted bones than an out-of-this-world experience. And as if that wasn't enough, our little gummy bears turned out pretty good but still tasted terrible.

A Quick Visit from Fellow Adventurers

I stumbled upon a video of girls who had already attempted the Galaxy Gummy Bears challenge and were willing to share their expertise. We might not be the first ones to try this, but we certainly made an effort. It's great to see others exploring the world of edible art!

The Agar-Agar Conundrum

But wait, what's happening to our agar-agar gummies? After only a couple of days, they've shrunk significantly and developed mold – not exactly the most appetizing sight. I'm starting to lose hope with this whole experiment.

Moving Forward – Polish Mountain Trek

While this Galaxy Gummy Bears adventure didn't quite go as planned, I won't let it deter me from my culinary pursuits. In fact, I'll be taking on a new challenge – exploring the mystical realm of Polish Mountain. Stay tuned for my next video, where we'll embark on an epic journey through treacherous terrain and treacherous tastebuds.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enWell hello there again internet Corinne here, and you're watching Corinne Vs Cooking!Today, because thousands of you suggested it,I'm making Galaxy Gummy Bears. Now you may not know this about me, but I love gummy bears! There's not a safe gummy bear in the house when I'm around! >:DWatch out gummy bears, I'm coming for you! (Corrine no)As we do before we start any projects,I googled 'Galaxy Gummy bears' and guess what came up..not much! There was this video,That did a variety of different colored gummy bears that togetherrepresented galaxy colorsBut not a gummy bear that had all the colors mixed in the gummy bear, you know what I'm saying? We're going to be the first to do it! :D So let's get started shall we? Oh you notice my fabulous manicure?I'll tell you more about that later *The beautiful laugh of the galaxy queen*Alrighty, here we go!I am very excited about this project becauseHow hard could it be to make gummy bears, am I right? We'll be using our magical butterfly pea flowers as seen previously in the Galaxy Lemonade videoAgain to accomplish our blue and purple colors and guess what, that makes it extra exciting!Activated charcoal is also making aTriumphant return to create the black nothingness that represents space and my dark soul. And lastly I'll be using a beet to create the pinkCan't beet that. YeeeesssOur colors are popping and we did that sh*t all natural y'all! Now for the fun part..Adding some flavor flav! Yes!I'll be adding some agave nectar and some freshly picked blackberries to the black batch. Yes, batch, okay nowI'm just pureeing the crap out of that. Yes. I am excite!I think if I had lemon to this, we will have achieved Blackberry Black Lemonade! What?!Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Alright! So I'm only going to jellify a cup of our magical black solution because I'm not sure if this sh*t is going to work to be honestNow I'm just adding two tablespoons of agar agar to the one cup of the solution then heating it upTill it looks as glassy as Rob's eyes after he hit that pipe we just talked about. All rightyI got myself some little gummy bear molds off of AmazonAren't they cute! Why does Haribo have such weird creepy little faces? When they can be as cute as this little mofo! Weird demon gummy bears.. Since these are galaxy gummy bearsWe need a little bit of edible glitter or a lot! OopsYes, and then we have to fill the little dropper with our goop and drop the goop into the little molds little by little.I'll be mixing the other colors in there as well, so I'm not filling these up all the waybut I did decide to do some full ones becauseBlack Gummy bears, duh! okay pinky is up nextI'm only adding a little bit of sweetener and the agar agar to this oneAnd I'm not really liking the color anymore dammit! It's a little tiny drop of food coloring isn't going to hurt anyone right? (You didn't see that)Into the mold this goes! I'm doing the blue the same way as the pink, but it seems to have turned purpleSo I'm guessing the agar agar is slightly acidicIt's all good though! Pink purple and black will represent the galaxy just fine. Just fine I say! Okay nowwe just have to let them set in the fridge for a little bit which actually doesn't take very long with the agar agar! Not going to agargue with that. Huh, these don't seem to be working out very well... The colours are cool, but they are not staying together. U G HYeah, I don't think I did this rightThey're not really the Haribo texture that I was looking for. They're a little weird.. they look cool in the bowl though!Don't they?? Alright, so obviously we have to give this another go!I derived the colors the same way I did last time but I added another beet and let it sit a little longerWe're also going to try a Giant Gummy Bear Mold this timeOver 1000 Gummy Bears in One Bear totally something people need!I'm going to be trying unflavored gelatin this time to see what the difference is in gummy-ness..For science reasons and I have a couple hiccups in the road... yeahStill filling up my molds andLetting the giant one set a little bit between each layer. I also added some stars to a layerAnd that was a huge mistake because after they sat there for a little bitThey just kind of dissolved and then it just looks like mold.. Well, whatever maybe maybe it's a happy mistake!I'm just going to keep forging forward butUnfortunately, the problems that I had in the beginning of this, were definitely a problemI did not follow the right recipe and this is not going to work for Gummy Bears!I needed to use a crap-ton more gelatin. Yeah, this isn't even going to come out of the molds. For the last attemptI'm abandoning all hope of doing this all-naturalBring on the jello! Per one cup of water you need one package of jelloand four packages of unflavored gelatinI'm doing about five cups total. So that equals a f*ck load of gelatin!I don't know if you've ever smelled unflavored gelatin, but it is disgusting! It's kind of a nightmare to be honestI feel totally grossed out and I'm pretty sure that I'm never eating another fucking gummy bear ever againI am a new woman today. I'm still going to try to make this work though because we already wasted all this f*cking gelatinYeah, so I'm using strategeryto layer in the Gummi Liquid so it actually stays together this time and still looks like a f*cking galaxy, kay.The moment of truth is here. Do we have a giant Galaxy gummy bear? Yes!Yes, we do!Not as Galaxy as I hoped it would be but it still works, kind of! This is the deep deep space galaxiesVery Dark and deep deep space. Also, I guess since I went through all this troubleI have to do a taste test and nope the flavored Gelatin did nothing to help to taste of this shit!It just tastes like melted bonesIt's disgusting! The little gummy bears came out pretty good too and also tastes terrible! So just note that for your recordsAnd I just found this video that came out of nowhere of these girls who already tried the galaxy gummy bears situationI was talking about! We aren't the first ones!.. and they actually did a better job than I did! So go watch their video.I mean, I guess I succeeded in making gummy bears, but this is not the galaxy gummy bear situation of my dreamsI'm going to chalk this up as a fail. That's okay. You're always a winner in my book. Oh, heyHi again before you go, just quick updateThis is what happens to the agar-agar gummy bears after only a couple daysWhat. the. hell! This is the size they used to be, and this is the size they are now. It's really weird, and they have mold all over them!I don't know what that says about agar-agar, but both of these situations are a no for me, dog!Well, that took a lot longer than I thought it was going to!I'm already on day 2 of Polish Mountain! If you're interested in seeing my trek to the Polish Mountain holy land, make sure to subscribe to my personal channel!
