this car through clyde sutton is 125 000 pounds however it is rather unique not as unique as that one though you see that has a five liter v8 but clive sutton's team has worked on it they fitted a supercharger they're featured and rated exhausted and loads of other bits and pieces brakes suspension carbon fiber bits so much to it as a result it puts out 850 horsepower and 900 newton meters of torque obviously it's rear-wheel drive like this shelby gt500 but that has the manual gearbox i'm driving the auto i'm letting someone else more skilled than me drive the manual so for that particular car well it starts from 115 000 pounds but if you want the extra carbon fiber on it like that car has it's 135 grand that car so what's going to happen well before we find out please make sure you driver shouldn't you shouldn't be nervous yeah it's your insurance i'm not bothered speaking of insurance maybe for health and safety purposes we should warm up the tyres uh so it's obviously safer when we're drag racing maybe go on then warm up the tires and there's cs yeah that looks pretty good it looks pretty pretty crazy that's that's nice i like that i really like that do you know what that actually looked like it all happened by accident but i know that it didn't um this is going to look rather amateurish matthew see what i'm going to do is going to be an accident or look amateurish embarrassing let's get the other way that's enough ah see i can just do exactly the same as you i don't remember needing reverse but okay oh we're both troubling for traction and he's gonna do gear shift and dct for the win oh here we go lovely juggling so how is that for you it was a bit difficult changing gears yourself yeah really really good i mean it's got a lot of power i'm just trying to manage to clutch the gearbox not trying to blow anything up that's just a lot of work to do you just sat there doing your hair you look very happy i've got particularly bad hair today it's been windy so it's all sticking up so then what exactly happened well the shelby gt500 won completing the standing quarter mile in 11.8 seconds while the cs 850 took 12.2 seconds okay now we have a rolling race in third gear we could do it from about 50 miles an hour which i think is 80 kilometers now here we go count it ready get level 3 2 1 go oh it's so close i just sorry about the gear change again that's it i can just see on the gear change like you just can't change as fast as a dual clutch automatic can you no you definitely can't and also it's got so much power like this when you do change it the reds climb so you have to be careful not to redline it on the up shift as well so it's a difficult thing to do but yeah it's definitely down you know humans are just slower than machines now i guess let's do a break test now we're going to do a brake test from 100 miles an hour which will be 160 kilometers an hour where is the light full emergency stop here comes the line that was a clean sweep how was that for you it was okay you won i want everything apart from the um warming up the tires no sound check yours did sound better now if you'd like us to drag around some
