**Testing the 3090 Beast: A PC Performance Review**

In this article, we'll take a deep dive into the performance capabilities of our 3090 beast of a PC, putting it through its paces with various games and settings to see just how well it can handle demanding titles.

First up, we're going to whiz through all of our game settings today and make sure that everything is set to high. We've got texture filtering right up there, medium settings get out of here, let's put it up to high - there you go! This is looking pretty good, rtx 1390 such a quality cool. I'm pretty happy with this and we can of course control this game with our controller as well as with all Xbox Game Pass titles. Cool stuff.

**Forza Motorsport 7 Performance**

Next, we're going to try out Forza Motorsport 7. We're huge Forza Horizon 4 fans, so we're hoping this game lives up to the hype for us and performs just as we'd expect it to do. Boys I am so excited for this game I don't know how I haven't got around to playing it yet! Just skip the intro I don't need any intro, it looks nice but I just want to play the game. Here we go, we're coming into the race now we're running at 1440p Ultra settings - we're sitting around 133 frames per second that is ridiculous because at 1440p and the 165Hz refresh rate on our monitor today actually means that we can see all of those 150 frames per second for the contact oh down the inside, oh look I love racing games, are like my thing.

**Forza Horizon 4 Benchmarking**

Before jumping into some of our other titles today, let's quickly check out our settings in Forza Horizon 4. We've got dynamic optimization off but set to Ultra - 1440p v-sync is off to get that unlimited frame rate, uh and then if you jump into advance everything is on Ultra and Extreme so our alpha sync 3090 system is looking pretty good here. Let's run the benchmark mode and see how it performs. Because that's going to give us a really nice idea - like a brew or something.

**Control Performance**

The results are in, you can see our fps graph here with all our settings on the right-hand side we're running around about 160 frames per second on average with the GPU, 137 for the minimum and 205 for the maximum. And that's pretty much it, happy days.

**Testing Control with Ray Tracing**

Next up, we're going to try out Control. We absolutely love this title here - it supports ray tracing as well, so we can give that a go. Let's dive into it. So quick settings check, we're running at 1440p with NVIDIA's DLSS technology enabled, we've got everything maxed to the highest possible settings and then we've also got ray tracing turned on and set to High. Really, it doesn't get much better.

**Keyboard and Mouse Experience**

We're going to use the keyboard and mouse for this one though. And we're sitting around about 112 frames per second at the minute - that's not too bad. The ray trace lighting and reflections and shadows look awesome here at 1440p, see that realistic little reflection on the floor there, boom! Look at that still sitting at nearly 100 frames per second as well. It's kind of crazy! That's pretty ridiculous.

little bit later without any further ado let's dive into it we're going to kick this setup off by taking a look at the pc build now you guys will know i've built a range of absolutely insane 3090 builds on the channel but none quite as bonkers as this one with a blazingly fast core i9 cpu that rivals the ryzen 9 at least in gaming only applications an asus tough rtx 3090 and 32 gigabytes of rgb ram from corsair this build is pretty bonkers you can build a system like this from the ground up for yourself and i'll pop the parts used on screen now but for this setup i've actually opted to go for a system from alpha sync gaming here in the uk they're sold exclusively through evis so super reputable but the reason i've done that is twofold the first reason is because of the gpu pricing and overall stock shortage a lot of these systems are in stock or available to order with pretty short lead times and what that means is you can get a system pretty much now at a better price than what it would cost you to build it yourself that is pretty crazy i know but it doesn't just apply to their 3090 systems the other reason is that these also come with xbox game pass for pc pre-installed pre-loaded and ready to go and that means we can jump into our titles a little bit later with basically minimal hassle and we've got loads of options in terms of the games we can play and i'll cover that library once we've got our setup a little bit more assembled now in terms of peripherals i've actually got a few really standout options that i think are going to be great for our system today the first is our keyboard choice this is the corsair k70 mark ii low profile it's an rgb keyboard built on the famous legendary corsair k70 design and with our cherry mx switches low profile keycaps and of course support for corsairs really very solid iq software control system not only for rgb but also for you know keyboard macros and of course setup wide lighting that isn't it though you've also got a usb passthrough on the keyboard which is super duper handy and convenient dedicated media control keys for stop next pause and previous you've also got a volume wheel these things are so satisfying so basically a full suite of media controls legit cherry mx switches which you don't always find on keyboards at this price point and an included wrist rest which we can pop on a little bit later now a good keyboard is nothing without a good mouse and that is where this comes in this is the corsair m65 rgb elite once again the m65 if you look at the ratings on loads of sights is such a highly rated gaming mouse you've got a dpi kind of temporary reduction switch on the side so if you're aiming in games this will actually reduce the sensitivity of your mouse to keep that aim a bit steadier and then when you release it it goes back to normal you've got of course dpi controls on top of the mouse super super super super super super super super grippy scroll wheel here as well you've got forward and back buttons and all in all a really nice metal build quality with a pretty comfortable grip in terms of both palm and claw grips depending on just how you want to use your mouse now in terms of the headset today i've got another great option another market leader something super duper fully rated this is the asus rog doubt app this is an rgb 7.1 surround sound gaming headset that looks fantastic it's got a bit of rgb on as well which we love here on the channel and overall some fantastic build quality super comfortable lots of adjustability asus rog killed it on this one it's a nice addition to our setup today let's move our pc and stuff around and get ready to put our monitors on before we can finally boot our setup up and try it out with some of the incredible titles included on xbox game pass for pc you know the likes of the latest forza titles gears 5 humongous and even microsoft flight sim oh how could i forget as well ebay also hooked us up with an xbox shock blue controller this is the new xbox controller which i much prefer using in racing games sticking to our keyboard and mouse for first person shooters once again to celebrate the launch of xbox game pass for pc now included with the whole range of awesome alpha sync systems linked down in the description below right it is monitor time and today we've gone we've gone all out and when i say that i i really mean it we're only halfway done where's the other one gone here it is oh my goodness this is absolutely mental is it a 30 90 system a 1390 and a core i9 wasn't quite
