Don't wait for the Xbox Series X! - NZXT BLD H1 Gaming System

The Next Gen Gaming Console: A PC Gaming Dream Come True

As we await the release of the next gen game consoles, there's a growing number of gamers who are opting to stick with their PC gaming setup. This trend is largely driven by the reality that, despite the advancements in console technology, PC gaming offers unparalleled flexibility and customization options. Recognizing this, NZXT has designed its build systems to cater specifically to these PC enthusiasts.

NZXT's Build Systems: A Masterclass in Design

The H1 case, featuring in NZXT's build systems, is an exemplary piece of design that showcases the company's commitment to providing a seamless gaming experience. Measuring size-wise, it's impressive to note that the designers have managed to pack an entire PC into a remarkably compact form factor. This feat is all the more astonishing when considering the limited time we've had to get accustomed to the designs of next-gen consoles.

The Shape of Next Gen Gaming

However, what makes NZXT's H1 case truly remarkable is its ability to marry the aesthetics of next gen gaming with the raw power of a PC. The result is an unparalleled fusion of form and function that truly sets it apart from other build systems on the market. In many ways, this innovative design pays homage to the iconic look of the Xbox One Series X while still managing to carve out its own unique identity in the process.

A Look Inside the H1 Case

When we take a closer look at the H1 case itself, one of the standout features is the tempered glass panel. This not only adds an element of visual flair but also serves as an indicator of the quality and attention to detail that NZXT has brought to its design. Moreover, the rest of the build system exudes a sense of breathability, thanks to an elaborate ventilation system.

Ventilation System: A Study in Simplicity

In many cases, PC enthusiasts tend to get caught up in the aesthetics of their systems, often neglecting the importance of proper airflow. NZXT's H1 case stands out from its competitors by taking a more straightforward approach to ventilation. Unlike some other build systems on the market, which try to add unnecessary flair to their vents, NZXT has opted for a more subdued yet effective design.

Conclusion

As we eagerly await the release of next gen game consoles, it's clear that PC gaming remains an attractive option for gamers around the world. With its innovative build system and commitment to providing a seamless gaming experience, NZXT's H1 case is an absolute must-see for anyone serious about taking their PC setup to the next level.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- This video is sponsored by NZXT.You can check out theirbuild systems below.I,forgot to do the disclosureearly enough in the video.I have actually already opened it now but(playful music)The next gen game consoles are coming, but maybe you're the kindof person who's like,(yawning)'cause the reality of it is,you're just going to game on PC anyway. That is exactly who NZXThas in mind with theirbuild systems featuring their H1 case.Oh, it's got the sizeand they couldn't havepossibly planned thisbecause we've only knownabout the look of theXbox One Series X for avery short period of time. But also the shape of thenext gen console experiencebut with the power of a gaming PC.(plastic rattling)Alright, let's have a look at this thing.Packing material looks pretty good to me.Nice soft foam, lots of protection and not the rigid kind, where if it takes one bad hit,it's like done the nexttime someone drop kicks itonto your doorstep orwhatever the case may be.Tempered glass panel right there. And wow, the entire rest of the thing, this is my first time seeing it in person,is alljustventilation. It draws obvious comparisonsto the Corsair One,both in terms of the form factorand like, the way thevent holes are configured. But unlike the Corsair One,they haven't really triedto gussy up the vents. So they're just like,\"Yep, these are vent holes. They're everywhere. Don't worry about it.\"On the top, we've got,Oh, that's interesting,we've got power, USB 3,USB more different 3,that's a type-C port,as well as a 3.5 millimeter jackbut only a single audio jack.I would have to assumethat's a headphone jackrather than a microphone one.I guess there is a large scaleshift to USB audio solutionsespecially for microphones buthey, there you go, it'snot there and then, oh.Oh.This is why it's more fun,if I don't actually do any prep.I did not know the IO was onthe bottom, so that's cool.So all your cables comein here at the backplug in just a little, something like that. And then you've...That actually that's really clean. It means the whole outsideof it is just ventilation. Now, let's crack this thingopen and have a look atwhat kind of specs we're dealing with. It's always kind of fun forme to look at the peoplethat are like salivating overthe next gen console like,\"Wow, they're gonna be so powerful. They're gonna have AMD gen 2 CPUsand they're gonna have like thisgraphics card and studiously...\"Yeah, okay, this is gonnabe pretty cold people.Anyway, so let's have a look at itwhat the layouts like inside. There's some foam packed in herethat's pretty standardsystem integrator fare,if they want their systems tosurvive the journey to their customers. And wow, they have done a lotof custom work for this thing. So the PCI express riser is actuallycurled. You can see here, it's likekind of bent around this bracketthat's gonna keep it from shifting at all. That's pretty cool and then we've got a,like a reference founder's edition.I believe that's a 2070 Superbut don't quote me on that yet. We're gonna try and getanother panel off hereand take a closer look at it.Our power supply's up at the topdrawing fresh air in from thisventilation panel right hereand exhausting it out theback and then check that out. That is a 140 millimeterall in one liquid cooler. So that's handling CPU cooling dutyand you can see the motherboardhas really been squeezed down to exactlyas slim as it can be with thatkind of cooling puck mountedto the CPU over thereand then reasonably low profile memoryalthough it does stillhave heat spreaders on it.It's nice that everything'sbeen tool-less so far.So if you wanted to addlike a two and a half inch drive upgradeor something like thatyou could do that withoutbreaking up the screwdriver butwe wanna go a little bit deeper.Oh.Alright, well that's how thetempered glass panel comes off.Just those little balland socket joints there. And we've got some morefoam that we need to removein order to make sure that ourgraphics card is gettingadequately cooled.Cable management is definitelya plus on this thing so far.Like it's not a, youknow, Mac pro or whatever,so like, we engineeredthis PC for two years, but it's really clean.Everything is tucked away, super nicelyand they've got little panelslike this to hide any excess.Oh, does that?Look at that, that's tool-less too.Wow.Alright.I like it.I really liked the care andattention they've put intoprotecting the PCI express riser cable. It's really easy for these to suffer fromsignal degradationwhich can cause problemsthat are not always easyor fast to diagnose. So, it's great, they're justtaking every precaution hereto make sure that the panelsaren't pressing on themor anything like that.I really want to remove these other panelsbut everything's been so easy so farthat I'm afraid that if Ipress too hard on anything...And I'm probably doing it wrong. You know? I think it's entirely possiblethat the chassis doesn't come apartwithout removing these little grommetsand undoing these screws I think. This is as far as your intended to goas someone who's boughta completed system.I mean, it's not the end of the world. You can easily access yourgraphics card for upgrades. They've got a couple of thumb screws here. And this is nice the modularinterface on the power supplyis right next to these power connectors. So it's super easy tochange one of these outor whatever the case may be.But, I think as someone whobought a completed systemthat is about as far asyou're expected to go.Power supply could also be swapped withouttoo much trouble but there aresome screws in there that arekinda hidden away a little bit.So you'd really wantaccess to this top panelif you were to try to take that one out.So graphics card upgradethat's about all you can really do with itbut you know what? Iguess I'm okay with that.Besides we've got aseparate video coming overon the Linus tech tips channelwhere we're going to bebuilding up in one of theserather than getting a pre-assembled one.So why don't we just take alook at what we can expectfrom one of these completed systems then?- Oh my God.Oh, no, okay, oh.- Come on NZXT give me alittle vinyl sticker, you know?No don't cut the camera, this an important tech tip,oh wait, wrong channel. It's a, it's a shorttip.(upbeat music)Man! I got to clean the monitor.I peeled the ROG off my monitor.Look at this. Now it's not for gaming.Like, there it is, it's off. It's only half of gaming now.So yeah, I mean, it's just nig, just nig. While I load a the gameand some benchmarks,so we can make sure theCPU and graphics cardare working properly,we can load up NZXT's CAM software. We've got a 9900K, 16gigs RAM, RTX 2070 Super.Looks like a terabyte of storage.Yep, terabyte of NVMEstorage, not too shabby. It also gives usall of our monitoring informationso we can see temps, CPU load, fan speeds, all that kind of good stuff. And I think, that'spretty darn quite, yeah,I would believe 700 RPM.That'll be a good stress test, let's go ahead and fire up Cinebench R20,while we're downloading a game.So we should be sittingreal nicely at a 100% CPU usage. We won't be able to take thescore or anything like thatbut a 9900K is sort of a 9900K.I just wanna know what kindof temps we're gonna hit.Normally inside compact cases like this, some of the hardwarecomponents can suffocatebut what's cool is theintake for the CPU coolerand the power supply are right along here, easy access and happened to be filtered. And the intake for thegraphics card, same deal, with most of the exhaustcoming out at the back here.So I would expect, wenever hit higher than about45-50 degrees on the CPU.I would expect that tosay pretty consistent.Shoot! This is a very early save game. That's okay, it's runnin'super smooth here. This is at 4K all highwith motion blur offand just basic anti-aliasing.And besides the thingthat I wanted to knowwas just how loud this thing'sgonna get in game 'causewhile it is an advantage for cooling,it means your fans aren'tgonna ramp up so highto have the intake rightnext to the graphics card.It also means that thesound can come right out. Now, I would put the system to my right, just so that the graphics cardis behind the tempered glassthat will help a little bit. That is pretty darn quiet.Well, that's it.Here's one of NZXT's buildsystems in their H1 case.It doesn't do me much goodto tell you what the price isbecause you can configure it.Thanks to them for sponsoring this videoand make sure you aresubscribed to Short Circuit.Yes, you are in fact, lookingat a different channel.Actually had a number of you, report to methat this short circuitchannel is using your videosand your likeness in order to capitalize. But it actually is me, it's just me.This is a different channel.Appreciate you though.\n"
