**A Taste of Halloween: Monster Cereals Review**
As the spookiest time of the year approaches, many people stock up on their favorite cereals, not just for the holidays, but to enjoy all year round. I'm one of those people who loves to hoard these special treats, and today, I'll be trying three Halloween-themed Monster Cereals: Frankenberry, Blue Raspberry, and Grape.
**Frankenberry: A Sweet Strawberry Surprise**
The first cereal I tried was the bright pink Frankenberry. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to be a sweet treat. The box featured a cute image of a monster with a strawberry-like appearance, but I thought they were actually ghostly shapes, similar to the Count Chocula's marshmallows. When I poured the cereal into my bowl, I was excited to see that it looked just like the picture – pink and full of colorful marshmallows. The first bite was a sweet surprise; it tasted exactly like Crunch Berry cereal, but with a lighter sweetness level and that familiar strawberry perfume. I was impressed by how much I enjoyed this monster cereal.
**Blue Raspberry: A Fruity Twist**
Next up was the Blue Raspberry Monster Cereal. As I expected, its bright blue color caught my eye, and I wondered if it would live up to its name. When I took a bite, I was surprised to find that it tasted like artificial blueberry – reminiscent of those little store-bought blueberry muffins. While not as sweet as some other Monster Cereals, the flavor was still fruity and fun. The cereal itself had a similar texture to regular Fruit Loops, with crunchy marshmallows adding a nice surprise.
**Grape: A Sweet Blueberry Treat**
Last but not least, I tried the Grape Monster Cereal. Its purple color made me think of grapes, and as it turned out, that's exactly what this cereal tasted like – artificial blueberry, with a slightly sweeter flavor profile than the Blue Raspberry variety. The marshmallows were still there, adding a fun crunch to each bite.
**Fruit Loops: A Sweeter Version**
Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "What's so special about Monster Cereals?" Well, let me tell you – these cereals are not just for Halloween. Today, I'm excited to try Fruit Loops with marshmallow bones, a classic American breakfast cereal. The back of the box featured a fun game, where you could construct a skeleton using the various shapes and pieces included in the box. As I tasted the cereal, I found it was sweeter than regular Fruit Loops, but still crunchy and fruity. The addition of marshmallows added an extra level of sweetness, making this a sweet treat for kids and adults alike.
**Captain Crunch: A Green Ghostly Surprise**
Next up was the Halloween version of Captain Crunch, which featured a ghostly mascot that turned my milk green when I added it to my bowl. As I tasted the cereal, I realized it was still the same classic Captain Crunch flavor I loved – sweet and crunchy. But there was something different about this version; it had a slightly citrusy taste that I couldn't quite put my finger on.
**Frosted Flakes: A Chocolate Twist**
Finally, I tried Frosted Flakes in chocolate form. As a fan of the classic cereal, I was excited to see how the chocolate flavor would stack up. When I poured the cereal into my bowl, I was surprised to find that it didn't taste like chocolate at all – until I took a bite and crushed it against my tongue. Then, the rich chocolate flavor became apparent. The cereal itself still had a strong corn flake crunch, but with a subtle cocoa undertone that added depth to each bite.
**Conclusion**
As I finished trying these Monster Cereals, I have to say I was impressed by how much fun and creativity went into their packaging and flavors. While not all of them were a hit (I still prefer Count Chocula), they were certainly tasty and enjoyable. Who knows – maybe next year, you'll be joining me in my cereal hoarding habits!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello my beautiful lovelies it's emmy welcome back to another taste test today i'll be tasting halloween seasonal cereals here in the u.s around halloween time there are a few cereals that come out only during halloween and i've never had them before so i'm about to taste them today and if you like these kinds of tastes be sure to subscribe for more tasting alright let's go ahead and get started so there are three cereals that come out only at halloween count chocula frankenberry and blueberry unfortunately because i'm a space cadet i got two frankenberries by mistake so i won't be tasting blueberry which is really unfortunate but i will be tasting three other cereals that i found which i've never seen before do let me know in the comments below if these have shown up before but i have never seen before let's go ahead and start with count chocula first i don't know exactly when these cereals came out but something tells me the 1980s but anyway so here's count chocula so i guess it's supposed to be like an election so you can vote on your favorite monster oh cute well they're like little pac-man ghosts i love it cute there's these little marshmallow and i think these are supposed to be ghosts oh yes they are different here's a ghost here's a bat i just remember that i did an american breakfast cereal taste test if you missed that i should put the link to that down below i'm using almond milk that's great nice and chocolatey and the marshmallows give it a little extra sweetness and in terms of flavor similar to cocoa crispies but with a little bit more crunch love that like it like it like it and look the marshmallows kind of change color when they get wet i've heard stories about people stockpiling these cereals because they can only get them during halloween so they stockpile them so they have a supply all year are you one of those people do confess down below frankenberry this one's cute look at the color oh my gosh bright pink cereal with multi-colored marshmallows blue and purple and looks like a white ghost but i think they're the same shape as what we had in the count chocula that's great and that tastes just like crunch berry cereal it's not as crunchy and not as sweet but it has that little light strawberry perfume in it like it like it like it like it a lot i actually really like these monster cereals i'm really surprised so let's complete the trio and taste this last flavor because frank and berry was so pink i was expecting this one to be bright blue but surprisingly it is not look it's actually purple there are the little cereals same ghostly shape has marshmallows as well and i do believe these are the same marshmallows as the frankenberry same level sweetness as the others same kind of like rice based cereal but the flavor tastes like artificial blueberry which is not surprising right it tastes like those little store-bought blueberry muffins it has that kind of blueberry essence to it all right to our next flavor next let's taste this one fruit loops is a classic american breakfast cereal but this time it includes little marshmallow blitz that are shaped like skeleton bones monster matching game on the back let's see if we can construct a skeleton okay here's the skull here's the pelvis uh sternum i guess is like this legs don't don't there he is um not surprisingly it tastes like a sweeter version of the regular fruit loops you get those crunchy marshmallows in there but the general flavor is kind of fruity in a very lemony flavored cereal nice and crunchy though but pretty sweet the one that i'm most curious about is actually this one this is the halloween version of captain crunch it's captain crunch with some kind of ghost or something and it turns the milk green and on the back there's a little template that you can carve a captain crunch into your pumpkin so here's a regular captain crunch cereal which look like always remind me of little kind of barrels and then you've got these little ghosts that are orange so oh my gosh it's happening crazy look they're little flecks that are hiding on the ghost and once they get rehydrated they turn green and as you can see it's turning my milk green weird i love the fact the green is kind of sleeper-ish like when you see the cereal like oh orange cool and then it turns it green very familiar captain crunch sweetness and crunch the little yellow barrels taste exactly the same but it does taste a little bit different maybe it's my imagination but it tastes slightly citrusy not sure mostly you just taste the captain crunch cereal which is the same you just get this really nice gimmicky slightly ectoplasmic colored milk lastly i have this one and this is frosted flakes but this is a chocolate version so typically frosted flakes are just corn flakes that are covered with lots of sugar oh my gosh look at that that's surprising so it looks like the frosted part of the frosted flakes is a part that is actually flavored with chocolate interesting somehow i thought the flakes themselves would be chocolate at first i didn't taste the chocolate but once you crunch it up it does taste chocolatey that one has a really great corn flaky crunch again very very sweet it is frosted flakes and then it finishes with kind of a cocoa flavor this still remains very much a corn flake cereal there's a very strong corn flavor and the chocolate comes towards the end and it's not really infused in the cereal the count chocula for example or cocoa crispies you get this kind of all surrounding flavor of cocoa well this kind of just comes at the end although now that it's been sitting in the milk a bit the chocolate flavor is definitely more pronounced but i still think i care for the count chocula version better alright so those were halloween cereals i have to say i was most impressed with the monster cereals i hope you guys enjoyed that i hope you guys
