iOS 10.0.2 Released - What's New Should You Update iOS 10.0.2 Jailbreak Status & Bug Fixes!

What's Up Guys: Talking About iOS 10.0.2

My name is Brandon, and today we're going to be talking about the new features and bug fixes in the newly released iOS 10.0.2. If you should update or not, of course, jailbreaked ah, so iOS 10.0.2 was just released today and it comes about a week after iOS 10.1.0 dropped and this is just a minor update to fix a few bugs most notably the headphone bug where the actual headphone audio controls would not work on the included headphone so everybody got with their iPhone 7 that's it.

Going to look at the changelog we can see that the first one is obviously the headphone issue which I just talked about. The second one says it resolves an issue that caused photos to quit for some users when turning on iCloud photo library so I actually never experienced that but obviously this was an issue and then the third fix is an issue that prevented enabling some app extensions again this is not an issue that I encountered but they did fix this in iOS 10.0.1 as you can tell it is a small update about a hundred megabytes on the iPhone 7 obviously this will vary for each device but for the iPhone 7 it's only just over 100 megabytes so I was ten point zero points you did fix a few bugs but there's also a few other popular bugs out there that have not yet been fixed and one of the bugs one of the most popular bugs I'd say is the display rotation bug and this actually just happened to me last night so this basically happens when your display is locked into portrait mode which I have all the time on all my devices.

The display will actually rotate to landscape mode randomly so this just happens randomly and I have not been able to recreate this I don't think anybody's been able to recreate this so it's definitely a bug the Apple needs to look into and fix immediately. Another bug that hasn't yet been squashed in iOS 10 is the issue where you lose cellular service after turning off airplane mode now I have not experienced this but I've seen a ton of people on the Apple forums talking about this issue I so now that we've talked about the bugs the big question is should you update.

So if you're jailbroken on iOS 9.3 point 2 or nine point three point three and want to keep your jailbreak obviously you do not want to update whatsoever. Now if you're on iOS 9.3 point five and above you should definitely consider updating if you experience any of these bugs that I mentioned now you may or may not remember but when I OS 9.2 was released last year pengu actually dropped a jailbreak forward out of nowhere within a month so I'm not saying this will happen with 10.0.2 but that would definitely be awesome.

But again since we don't know the exact status of the iOS 10 jailbreak I'd recommend staying on your current firmware just in case a jailbreak comes out for an older version of iOS so that's pretty much it for this video guys. It's just a quick video talking to you guys about the newly released iOS 10.0.2 hope you enjoyed it be sure to give this video a thumbs up also make sure to subscribe for a ton more videos hope you guys enjoyed it make sure to subscribe for a lot more coming and I'll see you guys very soon.

Display Rotation Bug

The display rotation bug is one of the most popular bugs that hasn't been fixed yet in iOS 10.0.2. This basically happens when your display is locked into portrait mode which I have all the time on all my devices. The display will actually rotate to landscape mode randomly so this just happens randomly and I have not been able to recreate this I don't think anybody's been able to recreate this so it's definitely a bug the Apple needs to look into and fix immediately.

This issue is quite frustrating because you might be in the middle of something important when your screen suddenly changes from portrait mode to landscape mode or vice versa. It would be great if Apple could fix this issue as soon as possible because it's affecting many users who are experiencing this problem on their devices.

Cellular Service Issue

Another bug that hasn't yet been squashed in iOS 10 is the issue where you lose cellular service after turning off airplane mode now I have not experienced this but I've seen a ton of people on the Apple forums talking about this issue I so now that we've talked about the bugs the big question is should you update.

If you're experiencing issues with your cellular service, it might be worth considering updating to iOS 10.0.2. However, if you're jailbroken on an older version of iOS and want to keep your jailbreak, it's best not to update yet. We don't know the exact status of the iOS 10 jailbreak, but it's possible that a jailbreak might come out for an older version of iOS in the future.

Jailbreaking vs Updating

So if you're jailbroken on iOS 9.3 point 2 or nine point three point three and want to keep your jailbreak obviously you do not want to update whatsoever. This is because updating to a new version of iOS might cause issues with your jailbreak, potentially losing access to certain features and functionality.

However, if you're on iOS 9.3 point five and above, it's recommended that you consider updating to iOS 10.0.2 if you experience any of the bugs mentioned earlier. This is because newer versions of iOS often include security patches and bug fixes that can help prevent issues like cellular service loss.

Conclusion

In conclusion, iOS 10.0.2 is a new version of iOS that includes several bug fixes and improvements. However, there are still some issues that haven't been addressed yet, such as the display rotation bug and the issue with losing cellular service after turning off airplane mode.

If you're jailbroken on an older version of iOS and want to keep your jailbreak, it's best not to update yet. But if you're on a newer version of iOS and experience any of these bugs, it might be worth considering updating to iOS 10.0.2.
