The Life of a Content Creator: A Behind-the-Scenes Look

As I sit here reflecting on my life as a content creator, it's clear that it's not as easy as it looks. But despite the challenges, I thoroughly enjoy what I do. There's always something to talk about, whether I'm vlogging, discussing technology, unboxing my latest gadget – in this case, my iPad mini which I'll be reviewing later this week. The variety of content that keeps me engaged is a big part of why I love being a content creator. From tech reviews to vlogs, there's always something new and exciting on the horizon.

One comment that really stood out to me was from Zoe – or at least, I think that's who she said her name was! Anyway, she mentioned my channel in her post, saying it was great because I offer a wide range of content that caters to different interests. She appreciated that I don't fragment my audience, choosing instead to create content that can be enjoyed by anyone who subscribes to me – whether that's for tech reviews or vlogs. I completely agree with Zoe on this point; I believe that when someone subscribes to your channel, they're interested in more than just one specific type of content.

Speaking of which, I have a confession to make: my face is currently being blocked by my steering wheel. Guess it's time for me to say goodbye until next clip! In the meantime, I'll be starting to transfer some files while I'm away – probably installing Yosemite on my laptop, as per usual. And before I go, I just want to give a shoutout to Zoe again – sorry if I got her name wrong earlier!

After a quick check-in with my parents (who are currently at Alfred's condo), it's time for me to head out and get some work done. My stomach is growling, so I think it's time for lunch. Perhaps I'll grab something from Wawa, which is conveniently located right outside my front door.

As I'm waiting in line, I notice that my razor is missing. Guess I forgot it this morning! Anyway, after a few days of growing facial hair – which, let's be real, isn't exactly the most flattering thing for me – I'm ready to shave and start fresh. On a lighter note, look at me trying to take a selfie while I'm waiting in line – not my best work, but hey, it's all part of the process!

Now that I've finished up these random thoughts, it's time to wrap things up for today. If you guys have enjoyed this vlog, thank you so much! in case we have a look back on this day because today i will be pre-ordering my ipad mini 3. this boy this i just said despite i was going to say despite the disappointment i just combined words there despite the disappointment yesterday of barely upgrading the ipad mini with anything new aside from the option of gold increased storage and touch id which i will say touch id is nice and i'm still going through with the purchase because this is my reasoning i feel like i owed to myself to get something from apple before the year's end because as you know i'm part of the s line when it comes to upgrading my iphone and i don't want to pay full price for my iphone i mean i love my iphone but i'm not going to pay that much for it i mean it's a phone i'm not going to anyway um and i was really looking forward to the ipad mini upgrade or update but the update kind of sucks i'm not going to beat around the bush i mean it kind of sucks however that's not going to stop me because i look at this as my chance to finally experience a gold ios device yes i have never owned a gold apple product so this could be quite interesting and yeah let's just keep it at that i'm not gonna go into specifics right now but stay tuned for an unboxing video when i eventually do get it because the apple store is still down they did not do the midnight pre-orders uh last night like they usually do with their products i'm not sure why maybe because demand isn't i don't know i'm not really sure hey smoke i'm just babbling and rambling about apple products as usual but guys don't get me wrong i still am really excited about getting my new ipad mini because it's a new opera product this only happens like once a year for me typically once a year so i am still quite excited to see how gold is going to look and who knows i could hate it i mean i could think it's a tackiest thing in the world but like i said this is my chance to go gold and to experience a gold iphone iphone really david a gold ipad and to see what all the hype is about all right let's make some coffee by the way if you haven't noticed i'm sure you have by now i am at my parents house which means jasmine is here hunter pants is was waiting all year for this and apple barely gave it any attention it would have cried but that's one of my primary reasons why i'm still getting it i mean i waited this long i'm not not going to get it so but still like i said it's going to be exciting because at least i get to unbox my youtube channel and i still get that new apple um feeling going all right enough ipad talk well i'll do it florida until next saturday so i'm not even halfway through my journey here i say journey because i've been back and forth a lot between my house and their house my house their house my house their house but i've decided to stay here until sunday that way i can record you know the weekend vlog today and tomorrow then have time to edit sunday my house then i'll come back here sunday nights tuesday's video is already done thankfully wednesday's video i'm going to try to record here today then thursday and friday's videos i don't know i'll figure that out as time gets closer but don't worry i left maui plenty of food and water and i'll see him in about 48 hours so be warned this weekend vlog will probably be a little shorter than usual although that's probably a good thing but then again my last weekend vlog was nearly two hours long and it already has nearly 10 000 views that's awesome guys thank you so much it still blows my mind how so many of you are willing to give me two hours of your day to just listen to me ramble about fried chicken and apple products and how much i'm obsessed over at jamming and stuff like that it really does mean the world to me i think a lot of you kind of play the video in the background like on a second monitor or second window which if you do i don't blame you that's typically how i watch longer videos i kind of put them on the side as i get worked on my primary monitor but anyway guys all i'm trying to say is thank you i don't care if i'm home or here i always microwave my coffee for a little bit afterwards for let's say 19 seconds have been um using screen sharing you know built into os 10 to connect to my mac pro using my macbook pro and i've been getting work done actually i uploaded today's video friday's video from my mac pro using my macbook pro so it's kind of cool when you use your home internet connection from another person's home but using their connection to connect to my computer to use that connection you see what i did there it's kind of like connection yeah it's not a real word this is my stay so far yep that pretty much sums my life up right there all right guys let's check in real time by the way you notice the offline apple store message still uses the old nav bar up top not sure why they gotta update that command r refresh guys i'll be right back huge success that was easy but then again there's really not a lot of demand for the ipad mini 3. i'm probably like 105 customers who just ordered now i'm just kidding i'm just kidding but there you have it it doesn't get more official than that and now i need to get ready to list my ipad mini 2 on ebay that way the ipad mini 3 will really end up only costing 50. max of a hundred so it's really not a bad deal if you think about it fine i guess i'll download yosemite right now now originally in my keynote coverage videos i said that i was gonna wait until next saturday to download yosemite and that's basically because like i said earlier i'm going to be back and forth between my parents house and my house a lot so in other words i don't want to install yosemite on my mac pro and then just leave like an hour later i mean i just want to be there like all day to enjoy it find all the little new updates here and there and enjoy the bigger updates as well but then i really got thinking david doesn't matter just install it on your macbook pro i mean why not do it this is kind of my chance to experience yosemite from a preview kind of perspective because obviously this experience isn't even going to compare to the experience that i'll get on my mac pro but um yeah now it's going to be patient 46 minutes until it's finished downloading then i do do the install i'm going to try to do a clean install because i don't really have anything on this macbook pro worth keeping and i kind of want like that fresh clean start it's all about the state of mind yes i actually pulled it off i created a video in my mom's scrapbook room number one otherwise known as my old bedroom so there's that at first i had a lot of troubles because i was really looking forward to using this table to kind of just rest my hands on and talk because i feel i feel more confident when there's a surface in front of me just to support me it might sound odd but i guess it's really not odd because if you're doing public speaking you typically want to have some kind of podium in front of you but it just wasn't working out i just couldn't get the manual focus right from that distance i kept reaching out and i couldn't see on the viewfinder even when zoomed in so instead i did it over the r so i think you guys will enjoy that hopefully and if time permits i will have that video live a couple days ahead of time for my fellow patrons so stay tuned required it's okay it is what it is it's life i'm having leftover sauerkraut for lunch there i was pork in here because my mom put a pork and sauerkraut in the slow cooker which was amazing and now i have a bunch of leftover sauerkraut to eat which is really good though i'm a huge huge fan of sauerkraut so i'm gonna heat that up and tonight check it out guava mama really hooked me up thank you mom if you're watching she got me all this stuff for tacos so i have ground beef cheese tomatoes sour cream back there and two types of sauces i don't know which one i'm probably gonna need actually i'll probably use this one because i like the more uh traditional kind unless you want to call that traditional i don't know it doesn't matter and hard and soft shelves oh as well as seasoning mix so i have a good dinner ahead of me tonight i love tacos guys i love tacos it does not feel like friday it i don't know what day it feels like it's just this this whole week has been off and next week's later this comes first yosemite update is ready continue agree agree again macintosh so apparently some of you on twitter are saying that yosemite actually runs better than mavericks that makes me feel better because i'm not gonna lie i mean i love my 2007 mac pro macbook pro but it doesn't run mavericks very well i mean if anything it's very laggy unresponsive i mean it works well enough for you know simple things like blogging and social media but don't expect to do any video editing and edit 22 minutes hmm i could use that time to watch another episode of californication apple gets me they just know you know i almost forgot about today's video so there you go friday's video is now live my first ask me anything video ever again being here it's just it's not me my mind isn't in the place that it usually is i'm just so distracted i mean it's not even well it's just about four o'clock i've uploaded videos later than this before but i typically try to make my videos live between 1 and 4 p.m eastern the more you know and by the way this is taking a lot longer than 22 minutes i just watched an entire episode of californication which is 28 minutes long and we still have 16 minutes left translation probably like 40 minutes 50 minutes maybe even an hour you know what in the meantime i think i am going to take a nap because i feel pretty tired i do and plus i really can't get any work done without my macbook pro where is it there it is so yeah we'll see what happens today feels so slow okay so i'm not sleeping yet but i just want to show you guys this i don't care how many times i have remotely connected to another mac but this feeling it just never gets old this is my 2013 mac pro right here on my dad's mac mini because i had to upload a screenshot for today's video just it's just awesome guys it really is awesome so it's as if i'm getting work done at home but i'm not even home well i'm sort of home this is my old home but let's let's not have to get too technical so there are some bad news um i forgot final cut pro 10 requires four gigabytes of ram and my dad's mac mini has two two gigabytes of ram really dad what do you windows 98 i'm just kidding windows on e8 required far far less than two gigabytes of ram but seriously that's that's embarrassing dad we're gonna have to do something about that if you're watching but um yeah so i guess i'll have to edit wednesday's video at my house no biggie i kind of planned on doing so anyway am i ever going to take a nap i'm just always working on something and good i'm uploading videos for client those dvds that i ripped i'm uploading them from my mac pro using my dad's mac mini i don't mean to repeat myself but i just think it's the coolest thing i know it's 2014 is and it's nothing new i at least a month or two now and i'm interested to see if i can get into a movie like this i mean it sounds like it might be a little bit like castaway because let's face it tom hacks didn't really what i'll go for the harley-davidson mug because it turns orange when it's hot and as you can see it's getting a little old so i just finished the movie all is lost and i gotta say it wasn't bad i believe it got like a 93 on rotten tomatoes which in my opinion is too high i would maybe give it like a 60 to 70 percent i can see why the critics give it such high scores because it was a very simple movie but it's the way they present the movie um is what makes it interesting oh by the way the movie description on netflix was wrong there is dialogue there's like six or seven lines of dialogue but still that's it is no dialogue and that's incorrect there technically is dialogue so if you're into that kind of movie where it's mostly silent for the whole movie and a lot of water like a lot of water that's what the whole movie's about then maybe you'll enjoy it and of course right afterwards i watched um one episode of californication is this thing on sorry smoke i'm just kidding with you he's fine he kind of whines about everything that's why we love him be a man david you've got ladies watching more coffee and this one filled it a little high so i'm going to dump a little bit out then kind of clean it sorry smoke didn't mean to scare you oh he just dropped a piece of his food in there right there sorry smokey okay you have plenty of remnants to eat yes once again cats on the counter i know it's not exactly sanitary but there are far worse things we do in this world so just using our smartphones and tablets on the toilet that's really freaking dirty if you think about it but i think we all do it i mean i just did today not to go into details but i was done my business in like a minute but i ended up sitting there for like 10 minutes or so on twitter and whatever just saying uh the night is young oh hello yosemite it just feels so nice to open up my macbook pro and see a completely new user interface it's very nice indeed i've been busy tonight there i'm obviously very limited here and as you know i try to get out five videos a week and it's not easy when i'm here i'm not complaining i'm simply stating but it's all good at least i'm only like 20 i've seen breaking bad i've seen american horror story except for the last season i'm waiting for that to be on netflix i've seen all of wilfred except for the last season again that'll be on netflix eventually um oh actually season two of revolution is now on netflix i might watch that not the best show but interesting enough to watch and yes i've seen dexter but you you guys already know that i freaking love dexter one of the best shows i've ever seen but also one of the stupidest series finales i've ever seen so it goes both ways anyway it's one o'clock chris texted me he's racing his rc's done or like orange mean it's doing something like it does on canon but on panasonic's it does not just little details like that i wonder how they get out the door like i mean if i worked for like a lot of time but when you factor in importing editing exporting and uploading that takes more than six hours but thankfully i can connect to my mac pro from here and upload if i run out of time but yep that is my update for right now it's coffee time yo hello i'm finally on my way back to my parents house i say finally it's only been a couple days but it feels like an eternity i just really miss my office but uh yeah i'm gonna be there for like five or six hours um i have my t4i with me just in case i need to record a video and plus i have a video on the sd card i need to transfer i have my sc 600k with me for the weekend vlog obviously and i have my tripod with me just in case i do need to record a video i highly doubt it i don't think i have anything waiting for me to unbox but i know loot crate shipped yesterday which is awesome so that means i'll probably go home again on tuesday to record that i'll watch your tracking pretty closely so yeah pretty good week ahead gonna be a little stressful trying to figure out what days to go back and what days to stay here but that's okay it's only for one week but then again next week i'm working with my dad three days in a row tuesday wednesday and thursday at our biggest job of the year it's this high high building of condos in uh center city philadelphia it's a pretty easy job because you get to see everyone's condos you get to be nosy and a lot of macs a lot a lot of people have max which is awesome but it just takes a while so that's another week of videos that i'll have to figure out ahead of time the life of a cannot stand the idea of splitting my channel up into separate audiences i don't understand why other people need to split up vlogs and tech i don't see a reason why they can't co-exist because when somebody subscribes to you for your tech reviews they might take an interest in your vlogs over time and other way around he has a slot in there and i love that that right there is value all right now in case we have a look back on this day because today i will be pre-ordering my ipad mini 3. this boy this i just said despite i was going to say despite the disappointment i just combined words there despite the disappointment yesterday of barely upgrading the ipad mini with anything new aside from the option of gold increased storage and touch id which i will say touch id is nice and i'm still going through with the purchase because this is my reasoning i feel like i owed to myself to get something from apple before the year's end because as you know i'm part of the s line when it comes to upgrading my iphone and i don't want to pay full price for my iphone i mean i love my iphone but i'm not going to pay that much for it i mean it's a phone i'm not going to anyway um and i was really looking forward to the ipad mini upgrade or update but the update kind of sucks i'm not going to beat around the bush i mean it kind of sucks however that's not going to stop me because i look at this as my chance to finally experience a gold ios device yes i have never owned a gold apple product so this could be quite interesting and yeah let's just keep it at that i'm not gonna go into specifics i'll download yosemite right now now originally in my keynote coverage videos i said that i was gonna wait until next saturday to download yosemite and that's basically because like i said earlier i'm going to be back and forth between my parents house and my house a lot so in other words i don't want to install yosemite on my mac pro and then just leave like an hour later i mean i just want to be there like all day to enjoy it find all the little new updates here and there and enjoy the bigger updates as well but then i really got thinking david doesn't matter just install it on your macbook pro i mean why not do it this is kind of my chance to experience yosemite from a preview kind of perspective because obviously this experience isn't even going to compare to the experience that i'll get on my mac pro but um yeah now it's going to be patient 46 minutes until it's finished downloading then i do do the install i'm going to try to do a clean install because i don't really have anything on this macbook pro worth keeping and i kind of want like that fresh clean start it's all about the state of mind yes i actually pulled it off i created a video in my mom's scrapbook room number one otherwise known as my old bedroom so there's that at first i had a lot of troubles because i was really looking forward to using this table to kind of just rest my hands on and talk because i feel i feel more confident when there's a surface in front of me just to support me it might sound odd but i guess it's really not odd because if you're doing public speaking you typically want to have some kind of podium in front of you but it just wasn't working out i just couldn't get the manual focus right from that distance i kept reaching out and i couldn't see on the viewfinder even when later this comes first yosemite update is ready continue agree agree again macintosh so apparently some of you on twitter are saying that yosemite actually runs better than mavericks that makes me feel better because i'm not gonna lie i mean i love my 2007 mac pro macbook pro but it doesn't run mavericks very well i mean if anything it's very laggy unresponsive i mean it works well enough for you know simple things like blogging and social media but don't expect to do any video editing and edit 22 minutes hmm i could use that time to watch another episode of californication apple gets me simple movie but it's the way they present the movie um is what makes it interesting oh by the way the movie description on netflix was wrong there is dialogue there's like six or seven lines of dialogue but still that's it is no dialogue and that's incorrect there technically is dialogue so if you're into that kind of movie where it's mostly silent for the whole movie and a lot of water like a lot of water that's what the whole movie's about then maybe you'll enjoy it and of course right afterwards i watched um one episode of californication is this thing on sorry smoke i'm just kidding little stressful trying to figure out what days to go back and what days to stay here but that's okay it's only for one week but then again next week i'm working with my dad three days in a row tuesday wednesday and thursday at our biggest job of the year it's this high high building of condos in uh center city philadelphia it's a pretty easy job because you get to see everyone's condos you content creator it's not as easy as it looks but i do enjoy it it doesn't get boring there's always something to talk about whether i'm vlogging talking about technology unboxing my ipad mini later mine you said david this is or i forget oh yeah you said david i just want to thank you for your content you offer such a wide variety of content ranging from technology to vlogs to reviews or something to that effect you said and i just really appreciated that because it's people like you who get me and get my overall outlook on content creation and the lack of fragmentation because i cannot stand the idea of splitting my channel up into separate audiences i don't understand why other people need to split up vlogs and tech i don't see a reason why they can't co-exist because when somebody subscribes to you for your tech reviews they might take an interest in your vlogs over time and other way around he has a slot in there and i love that that right there is value all right now that my face is being blocked by my steering wheel i guess it's my cue to say guys i'll see you in the next clip my voice is a little out maui's glad i'm home hey mal how are you i know look at all sold to a customer next to me in line i mean i was kind of watching him with the corn on my eye in line and he's like yo dude that wrap looks good where's it at in the store i'm like you know right over there it's like oh cool man i'm going to get one i'm like alright cool enjoy it's kind of like a wawa moment you know by the way look at me i forgot my razor here so i'm finally gonna shave after a few days i mean this probably isn't much compared to what you guys can grow in a few days my face is not built for facial hair seriously it comes in like random places but i guess that's kind of a good thing is i don't think i'm a facial hair kind of dude i just am not but anyway guys enough babbling i think you guys have seen enough of my life i do like this um old-fashioned wall in the
