The Great Outdoor Adventure: A Day of Triumph and Tribulation

Our day began with a trip to the Flintstone house, which proved to be quite an adventure. We set off early, but the journey was not without its challenges. The road was long and winding, and it took us a while to reach our destination. However, we were determined to make the most of our outing and didn't let the distance deter us. As we approached the Flintstone house, we had to be careful due to the cold weather and lack of jackets. We managed to squeeze in just enough time to visit the house before moving on to our next stop.

Our second destination was the recreation area, where we encountered a few issues with our vehicle. The tire was damaged, and we had to make an emergency stop. However, this minor setback didn't deter us from continuing our adventure. We took a short break to cool off and assess the situation. It became clear that we needed to find a way to get our vehicle moving again.

One of the challenges we faced was getting back into four-wheel drive mode. The problem was that the front differential was also locked, making it difficult to switch gears. After some tinkering, we managed to remove one of the wheels and hold it in place while spinning the other wheel. This allowed us to get a better sense of what was going on with our vehicle.

However, this temporary fix only led to further complications. The shaft that held everything together had become smashed between the lower and upper components, making it difficult to move forward. We realized that we needed to find a way to repair or replace the damaged part if we wanted to continue our journey. Luckily, we were able to locate some grease on the shaft, which helped us get it moving again.

Despite these challenges, we persevered and managed to get our vehicle back on the road. We took the opportunity to test our brakes and steering wheel, making sure that everything was in working order. Our adventure had not been without its difficulties, but we were determined to see it through.

As we continued on our journey, we encountered another obstacle: a dog that had managed to get its head stuck in a plastic bag. We were able to carefully extract the dog and free it from the bag, much to the relief of its owners. It was clear that our adventure was not just about the vehicle, but also about the people and animals involved.

Finally, we arrived at the parking lot at W's Carell, where we would drop off our side-by-side and follow the rest of the group to Dixie Springs. As we loaded up our vehicle, we couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that our adventure had come to an end. Despite the challenges we faced, we had made it through and were ready to head home. Our experience was a testament to the power of perseverance and determination, even in the face of adversity.

As we looked back on our day, we couldn't help but laugh at some of the more humorous moments. From the grease-covered hoodie to the dog stuck in a plastic bag, there were plenty of memorable moments to cherish. Our adventure may have been filled with challenges, but it was also filled with joy and camaraderie. And as we drove away from Dixie Springs, we knew that we would always treasure the memories of our great outdoor adventure.

has a wheel broke off from it so we're going to head up and see if we can get it back to safety they're about halfway up the water tank Road after we get them taken care of we got to drive all the way out it feels a little closer to 70 though we've got r on the back with peanut and we'll get them out let's see what do we got here this thing's cool yeah look like that spindle snapped right off of there we got some wires bunch of wires running right through here so I think we can just go right around right here R and then we'll see where they line up on this kind of stuff we don't want to then we don't want to risk hitting the lights or anything yeah have you got brakes no still of any sort no brakes okay there we go all right so they said there's no brakes on this so we're trying to rig this up to uh prevent prevent from slamming into the back I hope so we'll know in a minute we'll get we'll uh we might need to put another short one on like replace that one with this short one but we'll know in a minute okay we're just going to pull this up on some level ground and just see see what it does okay okay let's just take it easy for a second see what happens good thing about brakes nobody really needs to be in it for this yeah but you might want to just for a seat I think you might want a shorter one on that side yeah I think that one's just a little bit long think it's dog walking a little bitos it'll equalize out okay looks like we're good to go HP Jamie I can't just hop I have to use the seat belt to get in so we're taking this down to W's Carrell some people call it the water tank parking lot whatever that's where we're going we're going to go drop it off then turn back around and head out to the Flintstone house coming right along oh so I just barely got back from an overnight snow kick camping trip with the youth group took the bombie out there did little test driving in the snow in extreme cold we should put the heater in that thing that is all I know we get a lot of comments about why don't we put the the sling or whatever the triangle of of stiffness that you see on records they've been doing it for 100 years the answer is we wouldn't be able to use it very much most most Vehicles wouldn't be equipped for us to hook them up that way and then even if we could it we wouldn't be able to use it on most of the trails because of the vertical changes doesn't work yet doesn't work yet I okay R you're just going to make sure that this stays the way it's supposed to be okay this is going to be tricky R this is yours just watch watch that okay Jamie where the spring is so the problem is is this is this shaft is now smashed between the lower and the upper so we've got to figure out something it'd be great if we could get that through there but I don't know okay it did it it's got grease on there so it should just yeah it slipped right through huh drive it in we'll just go around out here and we'll just put it through here and that will keep in theory keep everything kind of aligned we're going to have some greasy soft Shackles by the time we're done usually when these CV joints explode they're kind of of no consequence this one got everywhere there we go okay so that's free of everything now we just got to keep this from rotating the last piece of this puzzle something take a sh okay that should be good that should just spin freely now steering wheel wise don't move it from that position it working yeah I don't know why we bring these dogs we love those dogs we do love them but they make it hard to work sometimes worth it
