The Car Show Tour: A Super car Lover's Paradise
As I stepped into the showroom, my eyes widened with excitement at the sheer number of supercars on display. The event was the first appearance of the Challenge Series in New Zealand, and it had brought together a impressive lineup of 30 cars from the Asia Pacific region for an exclusive viewing experience.
My journey began with a visit to Ferrari, where I was greeted by a stunning red GTC4 Lusso. This particular car caught my attention due to its sleek design and massive engine. As a huge fan of Ferrari's flagship models, I couldn't resist taking a closer look at the 599 GTB, which I had seen recently. Its grand tourist style and V12 front engine made it an iconic supercar that never fails to impress.
Next, I ventured into Aston Martin, where I was struck by the sleek design of the dual-tone white and black 488 GTB. The car's interior, in particular, caught my eye with its sporty finish and Sicilian yellow stitching. As someone who has had the pleasure of driving the 570S Spider myself, I appreciated the fun and engaging nature of this car.
However, the real star of the show was undoubtedly McLaren. With a lineup that boasted an impressive array of models, including the 570S Spider, 650S, and 720S, it was clear that these cars were meant to be admired and loved. The dealership from which I had purchased my own 570S Spider had also brought in one of the limited edition McLaren 12C 50th Anniversary models, which featured unique touches such as a carbon fiber wing and turning vein design.
As I explored the showroom, I was struck by the sheer number of cars on display. With so many supercars gathered in one place, it was clear that this event had been an incredible success. The hospitality from the staff and visitors alike was top-notch, making for a truly unforgettable experience.
But if I had to choose just one car from today's tour as my dream purchase, I would have to go with... well, I'm not sure yet! With so many incredible models on display, it's proving to be a difficult decision. The McLaren 720S, with its bold design and incredible performance capabilities, is certainly up there in the running. However, I also have a soft spot for Ferrari's flagship models, such as the GTC4 Lusso.
As I continued my tour of the showroom, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience so many incredible supercars in one place. Whether you're a seasoned car enthusiast or just starting to explore the world of supercars, this event was an absolute must-visit destination. With its unbeatable lineup of cars and exceptional hospitality, it's clear that New Zealand has become an essential stop on any serious car collector's bucket list.
So, if you ever find yourself in Auckland, be sure to drop by this dealership and experience the thrill of supercar shopping for yourself. And who knows? You might even spot me here, surrounded by some of the world's most incredible machines!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys i'm smee hello to you and welcome back to what is now my third day as part of this mega trip to the other side of the world down under where we've been starting in auckland new zealand now what i've discovered in my first few days here is quite how much supercar passion this country has it might not have the largest population but there are an incredible number of amazing cars out and about so today we're going to go for a spot of supercar shopping and take a look around at some of the best cars that i can find here in the showrooms of auckland now we're deep inside the gill trap group building at the moment this is an amazing place to get started as you're going to see when we take a look around at the cars right here so let's get started this is actually upstairs when you arrive here you drive in through the front entrance of the building and then there's a network of ramps that bring you up towards this parking area where we have a number of the pre-owned cars the timeless aston martins also some lamborghinis and bentleys the new cars are all downstairs where i'm going to head in a second but before we go there i'd just like to say a very big thank you to mclaren auckland part of gill trap because of course i've been driving their 570s spider well i've been out here roof down with some lovely weather and also over to hampton downs the local race track for an opportunity to stretch it and also drive a 720s which was a fantastic fantastic drive so check that out if you haven't already but as well as some nice things lurking around like the nsx let's head down and get started taking a look at the new cars here in the giltrap building the brand new gilt trap prestige building has these three almost galleries so you have lamborghini right here in the center hurricane on center stage you have bentley down at the further end and at the left here you also have an aston martin dealership now they are actually separate there is a cafe here cafe inside the showroom it's also got this double tiered kind of styling it's actually a really cool building but let's get started inside lamborghini and it's the first lamborghini dealership in the world to have the new ad persona studio so we'll venture back there in a moment but firstly the cars on show and i know a number of you watching would inevitably be choosing a lamborghini as your highlight from today's video but stay tuned let me know at the end what has been your favorite car that you've seen obviously right here we have the very bright yellow aventador s so 740 horsepower the new design i actually really like this design would be a complete pain to wash and clean that wheel because of quite how many spokes you have but the car itself obviously naturally aspirated 6.5 liter v12 it is a savage animal still so over in the window there is the hurricane the lp 610 the v10 obviously in the hurricane it sounds awesome the way it cracks and pops and bangs away the digital display just come around and have a quick glance at the interior but i'm going to head also over to the other hurricane that we have here which features their new aero package so this car has the factory fitted um body kit that you can buy for it so the rear wing that you can see the side skirts it's called accessory originally oh it says accessory originally i am the factory uh supplied package that you can buy or opt on a hurricane so around the front i'm not entirely sure what i think of it these extra parts that you have here and the extended end plates it looks potentially a little bit aftermarket especially these um upturns at the end of the rear wing but i suppose it adds a little bit more um originality to the car makes it slightly unique and different or given that this is a land of lovely weather would the hurricane spider be the car of choice definitely roof down out here right now is a lovely place to be as you've probably noticed i have a slightly pinky nose at the moment from how much sunshine we've had but i'm going to venture right into this room the ad persona studio now this is really cool we'll be seeing this at dealerships uh further afield but this is where if you're a customer for a car you get to come in and specify exactly how you'd like to have it and lamborghini make a big thing out of the hexagonal shapes the sixth element carbon of course with the sesto elemento but you've got some wheel designs you've got these panels to see with different lighting with the shapes for the colors and stripes that you can opt on the car you've got all the different trims and materials there's actually a lot in here imagine having that inside the car that's very very bright coming around parts and cleaning kits as well in here you have the sports exhaust if you'd like to see an aventador sports exhaust right there you can even have the race system as well more materials finishes the different center locks you can have for example on the perfomante this model signed by stefano dominically the ceo that's really cool as well actually i like this this is the new euros box which uh is it open he says trying to open this up one-handed a little bit awkward there we go looking here at the different materials you can have the alcantaras the leathers these are really nice actually i like the way they presented an awful lot so there are three design studios in this building it's not just lamborghini it's also in the separate dealership aston martin so let's oh that looks nice head right over there lurking behind the glass there we have the vantage amr we'll head in in one second but just before we do on the left is the aston martin dealership with the full lineup also venturing in there in a moment as well but if we just come into this room which is the customer handover delivery room it has the most fantastic lighting and this is obviously quite a cool car to be able to take a look at too the v12 version of aston martin's amr the aston martin racing idea hence the color scheme that the car has and also have a look at that wings badge how beautiful is that a tribute to the world endurance championship and all the different countries the races are held so the union jack flag there on aston martin's traditional wings in the car painted in the sterling green with the lime accents there's also a gt8 upstairs which we'll have a checkout of in a second that's very cool always loved the slats on the bonnet of the v12 vantage so let me depart that for one moment and head over to the other side and go explore inside the aston martin area here so inside we have first a v8 advantage continuing beyond that we have a v8 vantage s in ultima ultramarine blue the dark blue with some red accents on us as well which nicely complements the s logo in red then we have the v8 version of the amr this has the optional carbon fiber rear wing so you can have the carbon wing on the on the rear deck now it's a much smaller wing than the gt8s but i think it looks quite cool just slightly funny proportions you have to adjust and get used to that then we have a db11 and of course in the window the four-seater the rapid s with all its luxury and loveliness along with obviously the naturally aspirated v12 which is so wonderful this is an area that's familiar to me so the personalization of an aston martin is done right here it's fun how you have these branding identities that you see throughout the world but obviously the different paint colors that's my cobalt blue that's the color of my gt8 cohort blue that's departing contemporary color but you have some lovely lovely choices aston martin paints are awesome so you've also got the different trims and inlays so from carbon fiber to your woods and different veneers and then the leathers stitching and more options that you have down in the cupboards below that you can have a look at and see here even the different options for the door handle releases on the interior so another very nice place but let's head now onto bentley if you're here then as well as the cars in the showroom a visit to malina is in order it's actually a really nice model right here the new continental gt look forward to filming with one of those in detail at some point but that's really cool if you're configuring your car to be able to visualize how it's going to look oh look at that bright pink leather magenta leather that would be a bold choice for a car they actually presented a continental gtc looking very similar to that at one point but you've got their paint pods for all the different colors you can have and some quite interesting choices i noticed down there maybe they're encouraging people to go outside the box and choose interesting options so we've got a super sports which is obviously the top of the line continental gt of the previous generation the last w12 and also the super sports isr which was one of the final gtc's of the earlier generation so not the one that's just been phased out the previous to that but having a look that is really cool these are very very rare not very many of them in the world at all with quite a striking colour scheme and this was a tribute to them breaking the open top speed record at the time and they drove it i can't remember the exact speed but certainly got a move on no doubt some people would like that for the collectibility of it and of course there's a flying spur inside the front of the showroom right here to get upstairs if you had driven in you would have come through here and follow this path that goes around the building the most impressive thing to me actually is how these ramps are designed with two separate curves so that cars like aventadors can actually drive up this without even needing their lift system and they're not going to bottom out which makes it substantially easier but you have these ramps throughout this building it's the craziest place it's a level five green building which basically means it's the absolute top notch as you can imagine but up here we have a lot more to enjoy so this is where we started out earlier this is the bentley continental gtc galen edition it's the only one of these in the asia pacific region there obviously aren't even that many of them in the world at all but it's quite a special version of the v8 s from molina so you can see the white paint that's contrasted with the blue accents it's inspired by yachting so let's take a quick look at the interior as well where there are some very very nice touches just take a look at the wood inlays that it has up through the center that custom inlay over on the rear side with the artwork that it has too and if i open up the boot here press the button just to release it and come round to the back to show you the boot floor underneath the carpet here is finished just like a yacht how beautiful is that what's a nice finish that it has inside the base of the car absolutely lovely let's close that out what else do we have here a couple of continental gts bentayga of course the car that's been incredibly popular and what will be interesting is to see what the lamborghini urus does based on a similar platform to the bentayga here we have very much the lineup of skittles as we look around we have is this i think this might be an lp 580 yes it is so that's the rear wheel drive lamborghini hurricane rather than the all-wheel drives that we have both in the red and the white and then at the back there is quite an interesting orange aventador s that's an ad persona color that's not a standard color on the aventador s and also the regular if you can call it regular aventador roadster as well quite interesting to see the two side by side so you can see the differences down at the front bumper quite a dramatic design styling change so this is quite a nice place let's have a quick look downstairs in the service room as well how could i forget the lineup of timeless aston martin so they pre-owned another oh that's an original v12 advantage proper manual lovely lovely thing a few more cars that we have down there and then over this side we have a vanquish we have the db11 v8 and this is one of the things i'm loving about new zealand is their personalized number plates because so many of them are available you can literally have db11 v8 back here is the gt8 so let's come straight through to have a look the launch scheme the halo paint scheme with sterling green and the lime accents that you can see painted over the body work this is oh quite nice speck with the center lock wheels as well um that this car has obviously a fan unsurprisingly given i have one of those back home then we've got the v12 advantage uh roadster is that a yep manual good stuff good stuff that is one of the six speeds awesome that's only a handful of those was it 100 or so they're made of the veto advantage roadster that's quite rare i like that a lot vanquish volante and we have another v8 vantage s in blue with the red accents if you imagine coming the other way you've just driven down the ramps here and this is the two-tiered level workshop so literally looking down on the cars in the cleanest working environment i have ever seen for a garage aston martin's bentley's lamborghini service on this side where there's a gallardo and a martial lager oh that is a nice view down there that's awesome this is like almost hospital clean it's incredible and this is above a few levels even lower for storage of vehicles and then up top are all the office levels what i actually hadn't noticed before is that this is the rear wheel drive hurricane spider so they no longer have the model name uh numerical designations on the side but this is the 580 horsepower two-wheel drive version you can tell from the front it's quite distinct with the different shape of the bumper but i'm not actually sure if i've even seen one of those before the convertible version now no supercar shopping tour would be complete without a visit to the ferrari dealer so this is continental cars ferrari in auckland they've actually just had an event inside this morning so the cars from the showroom are outside which is great for having a look around them and inside there is a 488 challenge car there is going to be a challenge race held at hampton downs next month but just looking around outside well we've got 458 spider right there here we've got a lovely gorgeous 488 spider interior is very nice in this car too with the blue stripe through the seats very very nice finish i've always liked that color since they introduced it i've been a very big fan then we have the gtc4 lusso particular car you might have seen a couple of days ago so right now the v12 version of ferrari's four seater naturally aspirated massive engine i really really like the lucero's as you know and also the 8 to 12 super fast but here we've got the 599 gtb i've seen a 5992 recently but that really i suppose was one of the icons of the start of my youtube time with you know the v12 front engine grand tourist style vehicle and then we've also got a 458 italia dual tone white and black outside here as well but let's wander in just have a look at the challenged car so the event here this morning was to do with the challenge series it's making its first appearance here in new zealand so there will be an event uh for the 408 challenges at the melbourne formula one which is in just a couple of weeks time and then the cars will all come over here so about 30 cars from the asia pacific region come and race at hampton downs that's always quite nice to see just look inside this thing it's completely well race car right also while we're here outside we have a 488 gtb i'll show you the interior of this car the dual tone with the red and the black that's actually quite smart i like it against the black or the dark exterior as well and obviously 3.9 liter twin turbocharged v8 it'll be interesting to see what the new pista is like the new more focused track version of the ferrari 488. they're very nice lovely cars around here the next and final stop is of course mclaren part of the guild trap group also out here in auckland and the dealership from whom i picked up the 570s spider that i've been driving and also the 720s which leads me onto the car lurking right behind me the mclaren 720s right here in the front of the showroom the black car very subtle and discreet actually in black which is an interesting one because a lot of people talk about this headlight design and how it stands out an awful lot if you have the car in a bright color but almost disappears a little bit more in black for me though it should be a bright color right like these two the 570s spider in sicilian yellow one of the launch colors i've just come around and have a quick peek inside here the interior finished um with the sporty design as well with the yellow stitching but as well as you know from the car that i've been driving a lot of fun also next to that is one of the mclaren 12c 50th so the 50th anniversary car based on the 12c only 50 of them coupes and 50 spiders a number of touches from mso the carbon fiber wing it has this uh design on the side blade the turning vein as they called it then around at the front of the car has uh the carbon fiber and a slightly different look to the front as well with the mso front bumper finished in mclaren orange the traditional if you could say uh paint color for different mclarens then beyond that we've got a lineup of cars 570s 650s another 720s in the workshop with some 720s in the back uh ground as well it was a lot of fun with so many mclarens taking part in the event that i attended with the guys here from mclaren or auckland uh about well nearly 30 odd cars which is incredibly impressive when you consider that new zealand only has a population of a couple of million so awesome turnout awesome turnout we almost struggle to get that sometimes when it's an event in the uk where there are vastly more cars and of course they're built there but that is a supercar shopping tour of auckland new zealand so we've been to aston martin to bentley to lamborghini to ferrari and now to mclaren but out of all of the cars that you've seen today which one would you choose if you were buying one supercar what would it be exactly which one let me know in the comments down below it'd be interesting to hear from you guys what your favorite car of the moment is but i've been well completely blown away by how much i've seen out here and the hospitality from everyone it's been absolutely awesome so i'm gonna wrap this one up there thank you very much for watching i hope you've enjoyed the video and a look around the showrooms and i will be sure to catch up with you again very soon cheers youhi guys i'm smee hello to you and welcome back to what is now my third day as part of this mega trip to the other side of the world down under where we've been starting in auckland new zealand now what i've discovered in my first few with the red accents if you imagine coming the other way you've just driven down the ramps here and this is the two-tiered level workshop so literally looking down on the cars in the cleanest working environment i have ever seen for a garage aston martin's bentley's lamborghini service on this side where there's a gallardo and a martial lager oh that is a nice view down there that's awesome this is like almost hospital clean it's incredible and this is above a few levels even lower for storage of vehicles and then up top are all the office levels what i actually hadn't noticed before is that for having a look around them and inside there is a 488 challenge car there is going to be a challenge race held at hampton downs next month but just looking around outside well we've got 458 spider right there here we've got a lovely gorgeous 488 spider interior is very nice in this car too with the blue stripe through the seats very very nice finish i've always liked that color since they introduced it i've been a very big fan then we have the gtc4 lusso particular car you might have seen a couple of days ago so right now the v12 version of ferrari's four seater naturally aspirated massive engine i really really like the lucero's as you know and also the 8 to 12 super fast but here we've got the 599 gtb i've seen a 5992 recently but that really i suppose was one of the icons of the start of my youtube time with you know the v12 front engine grand tourist style vehicle and then we've also got a 458 italia dual tone white and black outside here as well but let's wander in just have a look at the challenged car so the event here this morning was to do with the challenge series it's making its first appearance here in new zealand so there will be an event uh for the 408 challenges at the melbourne formula one which is in just a couple of weeks time and then the cars will all come over here so about 30 cars from the asia pacific region come and race at hampton downs that's always quite nice to see just look inside this thing it's completely well race car right also while we're here outside we have a 488 gtb i'll show you the interior of this car the dual tone with the red and the black that's actually quite smart i like it against the black or the dark exterior as well and obviously 3.9 liter twin turbocharged v8 it'll be interesting to see what the new pista is like the new more focused track version of the ferrari 488. they're very nice lovely cars around here the next and final stop is of course mclaren part of the guild trap group also out here in auckland and the dealership from whom i picked up the 570s spider that i've been driving and also the 720s which leads me onto the car lurking right behind me the mclaren 720s right here in the front of the showroom the black car very subtle and discreet actually in black which is an interesting one because a lot of people talk about this headlight design and how it stands out an awful lot if you have the car in a bright color but almost disappears a little bit more in black for me though it should be a bright color right like these two the 570s spider in sicilian yellow one of the launch colors i've just come around and have a quick peek inside here the interior finished um with the sporty design as well with the yellow stitching but as well as you know from the car that i've been driving a lot of fun also next to that is one of the mclaren 12c 50th so the 50th anniversary car based on the 12c only 50 of them coupes and 50 spiders a number of touches from mso the carbon fiber wing it has this uh design on the side blade the turning vein as they called it then around at the front of the car has uh the carbon fiber and a slightly different look to the front as well with the mso front bumper finished in mclaren orange the traditional if you could say uh paint color for different mclarens then beyond that we've got a lineup of cars 570s 650s another 720s in the workshop with some 720s in the back uh ground as well it was a lot of fun with so many mclarens taking part in the event that i attended with the guys here from mclaren or auckland uh about well nearly 30 odd cars which is incredibly impressive when you consider that new zealand only has a population of a couple of million so awesome turnout awesome turnout we almost struggle to get that sometimes when it's an event in the uk where there are vastly more cars and of course they're built there but that is a supercar shopping tour of auckland new zealand so we've been to aston martin to bentley to lamborghini to ferrari and now to mclaren but out of all of the cars that you've seen today which one would you choose if you were buying one supercar what would it be exactly which one let me know in the comments down below it'd be interesting to hear from you guys what your favorite car of the moment is but i've been well completely blown away by how much i've seen out here and the hospitality from everyone it's been absolutely awesome so i'm gonna wrap this one up there thank you very much for watching i hope you've enjoyed the video and a look around the showrooms and i will be sure to catch up with you again very soon cheers you\n"
