hook him up with one of these the lenovo legion 7i the most powerful gaming laptop lenovo has come out with it has all the bells and whistles so let's kind of talk about why this thing is cool and why this guy's gonna like it now if you guys aren't familiar with the lenovo legion laptops i really like what lenovo's done with these they look really good nice and clean very minimal design so you can pretty much take this thing anywhere and looks like just a normal standard laptop but of course i know you saw it you saw them rgbs so this wouldn't be a gaming laptop without some rgb lights and they actually have quite a few on here of course we got the standard rgb lights on the keyboard but they've also got this awesome rgb strip going around the bottom so it gives you like a nice little effect when you put it down on the table looks great but you've also got some in the back here so where you have your fans and your exhaust you got some rgb strips there too so when you put this thing down on a table look at that you see that glow it's nice it's very nice not to mention you also have a little rgb light right here in the logo so it looks good i like it and if you're not huge on rgbs or maybe you want to take this thing to work you don't need to show off the fact that you're in your gamer mode you can turn them all off keeps it nice simple and clean looking i actually also like the fact that it has all these ports in the back here so if you want to dock this up to a monitor or something and have like a cool desk setup around this it'll keep it looking really clean because all the cables will be in the back and it'll look super organized which is nice for a laptop that looks like this now not only is this a clean looking laptop but it's got the specs to back it up it's running an intel core i7 10th generation processor as well as an nvidia rtx 2060 graphics card but you can configure it to go all the way up to an rtx 2080 super now we have all this graphical power here but it'd be nothing without a good display thankfully we have one here with a 1080p ips display with hdr and up to 240 hertz refresh rate right now everybody's talking about getting 120 hertz on their consoles meanwhile this thing is packing 240 that's not something carl's ever experienced so i'm actually pretty pumped for him to try that out so when it comes to gaming you're gonna have a nice visual experience you guys know my game is apex legends and i love the way it looks and runs on this thing now of course since this is a gaming laptop that means you're gonna be pushing this thing hard and if you want to have a good gaming experience you're going to want a good cooling system as well so the thermal system inside of here is actually lenovo's cold front 2.0 system with vapor chamber technology which allows cool air to come in and hot air to come out of these guys so it'll keep the system nice and cool but it also has a dual burn feature which basically lets the cpu and gpu get pushed as hard as it needs to so that you can put out the best performance while still keeping the system nice and cool now it can do all that cooling stuff intelligently but it has actually pretty cool feature where if you hit the fn button and q and you can change the amount of cooling that the system gets right now you guys see it on cool which basically puts it in a quiet mode lowers the voltage gives you better battery life less performance or if you have a game open you can put it up one more which basically allows you to go into this high voltage high fan mode which lets you game at the peak performance possible so you can have full control of the thermals when you want to by just pressing fn plus q so for me i really like the 7i i think it's dope but it's not about me it's about my little cousin carl he's the guy who's going to be experiencing pc gaming for the first time i'm actually really excited for him so it's going to be nice for him to have a machine with windows 10 where he's going to be able to do some actual work rather than just trying to get everything done on his phone using a legitimate operating system like windows 10 to get things done it's probably gonna be new for him so i got mine over here but the one he's getting is actually coming tomorrow so once we get our hands on that we'll do a nice little surprise for him and i'll told you already you're going to have faster refresh rate with the display the soda sting has a 240 hertz refresh rate you saw us struggling to find a 120 screen so that sounds amazing yeah so this is gonna look dope it's a 1080p display but it's got hdr you could be real happy about that plus you got the rtx 2060 card so you know you'll get those ray tracing the graphics will look great it's going to be super smooth on the hardware side of things like things you're going to have to get used to you got a new keyboard now that's like that's your controller yeah now i'm not even going to talk too much about that because i'm not the best mouse and keyboard player but the man does have lenovo's true strike keyboard with the soft landing switches so it's going to feel real nice and comfortable to
