Thank you for watching, liking, commenting, sharing, and subscribing. We have people posting on Lockerdome.com every day, and we accept new guest bloggers on a regular basis. If you want to be considered, all you have to do is write well and if you write really well and you have great perspectives and good stories to share, then you may become a regular contributor just like John McKinley who you might know as "This Damn Scotsman" on the Nomies chat. You may have heard him in the TeamSpeak server on Live. He's now going to be a regular contributor on Lockerdome.com, and he's got some rather unique perspectives.
You can say hi to this damn Scotsman; he's a really nice guy and has good perspectives. His first blog post his first story is up on Lockerdome right now, feel free to share it if you like it just like I'm going to do. I'm going to go ahead and plus one that make sure it gets out there. It's linked in the video description, so you can click on it real quick. Let me try again with that supposed to be description; hopefully, he writes better than I can speak. In the story, "my Mantra" he really kind of took that Mantra and turned it into a full-on explanation in the story, "better is relative." If I haven't described this term at least this week, let me do that again.
There are many times when I'll look at comments on YouTube or even some questions in my inbox, uh, they're okay questions. People ask what's the best iPad case, what's better, what's the best, and so on. The problem with "better" is that what's better for me isn't necessarily better for you. So, in order for me or anybody to answer that kind of question effectively, you have to give them more information. You can't just throw out there the idea that what's great for you is going to be great for everybody. Usually, there are rare exceptions sometimes you have something that's a Best in Class, where there aren't a lot of options around in which case you can say between two things this is better but you could also say well, between these two things this is better for this kind of feature this is better for this kind of feature. So which is better? Okay, let's imagine, uh we have two traditional desktop PCs, each running and trying to say one of those two things and screwed up both times.
Each PC runs Windows the latest version, and this, that one has same amount of memory as this other one; this other one has an uh hard drive. Let's say it has a solid-state disc, and you know in terms of speed, you know in terms of CPU and whatnot they're the same. The only thing that is different between them, guess the different between them, let's say they are the same price but this one got an SSD. That one got a hard drive, which is better? Can't answer that question; it's not even a trick question you just can't answer the question now if you're going to ask overall speed which ones better probably be the SSD if you're asking well which is better for storing more video files on I would say the one that got more storage. Which is better, can't answer that question. Better is relative keep that in mind before before you ask a question this versus that you have to remember context is everything.
I have to remind this to a lot of people who are on YouTube kids really uh those who are well under the age of 18 and still living with their parents don't have a full grasp on the meaning of better and best. With it being relative and without full analysis and context and understanding of what you're looking for or what someone else might be looking for you can never answer that question effectively we've gone into even more logic in case you'd uh care to look in the story that we've linked in the video description and we think it's a pretty good post. It is a good story to share, is it better than the other stories out there today; yes but then again I'm I'm kind of biased.
