IT'S DONE! My New Gaming_Editing PC Reveal

Experimenting with Cable Management: A Personalized Approach to Customizing My NZXT EH 500 Case

As I sit here, surrounded by my latest PC build, I find myself admiring the cable management system that comes with my NZXT EH 500 case. The case's standard cable covers are a great starting point, but I'm eager to take it to the next level and add some personalized flair. One of these cable covers has caught my eye - the one from my old build, which just so happens to match the color scheme of my new case. This is exactly what building your own PC is all about: customizing every aspect, from top to bottom.

I carefully remove the cover from my old build and examine it. It's a perfect fit in my new case, with no gaps or imperfections. I can see how fantex designed these cable covers - they're small, SSD-sized shields that slide into place. In theory, this should provide excellent cable management, but I've found that the existing system leaves too much to be desired. The cables seem unevenly routed, and it's clear that a more refined approach is needed.

That's where my cable cover comes in - a solution to this problem. I carefully insert it into the case, ensuring a snug fit. As I work with the cable cover, I notice how seamlessly it integrates with the rest of the build. The color match is perfect, and I can see how it will help to create a clean, polished look behind my motherboard. This is just one aspect of building your own PC - the details that make all the difference.

As I continue to work on my build, I realize that this cable cover is the perfect addition. I take a step back and admire my handiwork, happy with how everything comes together. The full customizing from start to finish is what building your own PC is all about - taking every component, no matter how small, and making it work in harmony.

The last piece of the puzzle was installing new RAM. I had originally planned on reusing some of my old RAM, but decided instead to upgrade with 64GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX Pro RGB memory. This means a significant increase from my original 32GB setup - four sticks of 16GB compared to two sticks of eight gigabytes. It was an easy decision, given the upgrade to an i9 CPU and the new graphics card.

The i9 CPU is going to play a big role in our performance benchmarks, but I'm also excited to see how the new graphics card handles demanding tasks like photo editing and video rendering. The old PC struggled with these types of applications, but my new build should be able to handle them with ease.

One aspect that may not interest everyone - but is still important to me - is cable management. With everything hidden behind these two guards, I can swap out the SSDs in the future if needed. The mounting points are cleverly designed and will make it easy to reorganize my build as needed. This level of attention to detail is what sets a well-built PC apart from one that's just good enough.

After spending some time with my new build, I'm happy with how everything turned out. It looks clean and polished behind the motherboard, and the cable cover provides a nice touch of personalization. The performance benchmarks are also looking promising - 173.4 FPS on ultra settings in Battlefield 5, compared to 135.1 FPS on the old PC.

When it comes to more demanding tasks like video editing, I'm excited to see how my new build performs. A recent test involved rendering a 14-minute video at 4k resolution. The old PC took 32 minutes, but my new build finished in just 19 minutes - nearly half the time. This is a big deal for me as a YouTuber, where every minute counts.

For those interested in building their own PC, I've included a list of components used in this build at the bottom of the article. Take note of each component and consider how they can be integrated into your own build.

In conclusion, building my own PC has been an incredible experience. It's allowed me to take every aspect of the build and make it my own - from cable management to performance benchmarks. If you're considering building your own PC, I hope this article has given you some inspiration and ideas for how to take your build to the next level.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys I'm random Frank P back with part two of building my editing and gaming PC for the channel so as you guys saw in part 1 of the vlog we got it you know pretty much all built up showed you the components some of the the modding I was doing to everything so part 2 the vlog here this was filmed earlier in the week and obviously as you see it's fully built up so let's just jump right into it okay so as we begin this video first off I have to explain that this is called blog style there were an abnormal amount of people in part one saying why am I using a handheld camera and not my main camera I just wanted to reiterate blogs style okay so with that sarcastically out of the way late last night I got all the drivers installed windows all my programs everything updated which takes a long time so I had a lot of people asking why I didn't just do it then well I want to get that video out for you guys that following day and set up delaying it until this upcoming Friday or I don't know a different time I want to get that video out and upload it and it wouldn't have been possible if I had to do all this last night then edit on top of that so everything is now fully installed updated and we finally got all the RGB sync going on we have the deep cool castle cooler which has its own RGB the actual graphics car the ROG Strix 20 atti has you know they're lighting the motherboard has their own lighting and then we had the digital fan frames that has their own lighting we had the actual case itself and then those neon strips that fantex makes that I just got installed the fantex neon so now we're gonna go through yes I'll include some b-roll but I'll show you everything that we have going on now inside the case that it's fully built and installed ok so in terms of visuals since all these products are compatible with my asus motherboard because they have their very own or a sink what you can do is you could either plug it directly into the motherboard in daisy chain pretty much all the products so that you can just go inside these software and sync it but there there weren't let's just say the V effects that is already possible on the fantex digital frames and stuff and with this case was not available inside the software so instead of plugging it into my motherboard and singing everything just through the software itself I have it all hooked up through the actual case and daisy chain through there so I can control all of the lighting - the corsair ram and the you know the asus motherboard and graphics card but all of the fantex lighting through the case so it's all daisy chained and now at the press of a button or two on the front io it's all synced i could change it up which is really cool that actually is even extended to the deep cool castle cooler because that is also compatible and it's just again everything's daisy chained the digital fan frames which are not actually a part of the fan it's a separate unit had a lot of questions about that so know these RGB fans aren't a thing it's a digital fan frame which goes on to the fan and then that's what gives it that really cool look and since the fans themselves are white the the digital RGB lighting just looks really cool cuz it bounces off that nice and evenly and just looks a lot better than if it were bouncing on to like a black fan it would kind of be dispersed and it wouldn't look as bright now these fantex neon lights I don't have installed yet which is why they're just hanging out of the case but I'm kind of torn on where to put them since there's already ample lighting and stuff and on the front of the IO but would it make sense to really add them to the interior although I can and that's probably the main use of these but I was thinking maybe underneath the case for that underglow since I have those two here plus the two strips that are still inside the other you know set I could add two more to have four of these neon strips okay so with the power of editing I went ahead and already installed it and got a configured and there are actually only three instead of four which I originally thought there were two with the main set and then one as an additional set so three instead of four then what I did was I have two on the bottom so as you can see there's a ship there shining out this way and one on the other side shining out that way so we have a sort of complete under glow and then for the other one I have it mounted right next to the motherboard and then going out and then down into the power supply shroud um I originally had it on this side here on the front but since it was pretty much hidden behind that you couldn't even really see it so I went ahead and then just installed it there next to the motherboard and gives it some extra you know pop to the overall build now the next thing to do which is pretty much tradition at this point we've done it with every case since I had the H 440 back in 2014 and that's install the 3d printed random Frank P logo on the front definitely completes the look alright so the next thing is I was just playing some battlefields for a bit and I noticed that the actively windows sort of watermark right there doesn't ever go away regardless of what program or game you have up so I always had questions about Windows I've been using your CD key calm for a long time now and I've always got my keys through there um I just bought a key for twelve dollars you guys can - people are always asking me if it's legit I use all their keys for all my PCs that I make so twelve dollars UK random so I'm going to put it in right now next activate and I want to show you guys the key you know and just like that you can't see it there you go but windows is activated so yes you can trust it if I trust it to be using it on all my main pcs my main build now going forward I was has it on there my last PC had other keys from your CD keys so UK random at checkout will save you guys some money I think it's like $15 four key brings it down to just around twelve dollars so you can't beat it Windows 10 all right so one thing I want to experiment with is this cable cover from my NZXT eh 500 I case these covers are you know they're pretty standard amongst the NZXT case lineup their color match to the case as well and one thing I don't like about the way fantex does their cable managing is they have like four or five of these little SSD sized shields that just slide and in theory they work but when you're routing your 24 pin you know motherboard cable and stuff to the back it's it all looks uneven and with here it's did a really good job of hiding all that so I want to see if I can put this in that case you know really start to customize that's what building your own PC is all about stuff the full customizing from start to finish I mean it's a perfect fit I couldn't have drawn that one up any better did not think it was be that easy but from top to bottom it's the exact same length I'll mess around with it see if I wanted to be closer to the motherboard or close to the front of the case here maybe I could then change where that light strip goes and put it behind that shroud to add some color but this is the fan tech / NZXT / random Frank P case collab no one knew they wanted and here we are who would have thought not me and then one of the last real updates to the build and for today really is brand new Ram so I overnighted from Amazon 64 gigs of course of engines Pro RGB vs. the 32 gigs I was going to be reusing from my old build in my new build so instead of four sticks of eight gigs we now have four sticks of 16 gigs so doubling from 32 to 64 I figured it just made sense you know I'm upgrading to an i9 CPU and a 22 Ti why not double the RAM as well then lastly the thing that probably no one cares about but you'd be pissed if I didn't show it and that is cable management so everything is hidden behind these two guards if you will I'm also has mounting points for SSDs which I had behind here so ever want to change anything out in the future reorganize you pop off these little covers these open up and then everything's just behind there but when it's all closed like that you close that it looks very nice very clean alright so the end result I think for it being you know my PC it looks pretty damn good I'm happy with the end result just looks really clean and nice in the background definitely fits in with my setup overall now in terms of benchmarks probably something you also want to hear about I didn't install a ton of games in fact only installed two but the main one I benchmark was battlefield 5 because that's the main game I play on PC it's also pretty graphically intensive as well so on the new PC we have 173 point 4 FPS as at the highest ultra graphical setting 3449 1440p obviously with ultra wide monitors and r-tx turned off ok and on the old PC we had 135 point 1 FPS so we're getting a pretty big boost with the new graphics card probably got too much help from the i9 CPU but it's supposed to show you the pretty substantial increase of a r-tx 20 bt i now with art CX turned on okay major major hit seventy nine point seven FPS not worth it okay just for the very slight graphical increase I'm just not gonna do it so happy with the performance boost and then I would sit with come to like you know photo photo editing video editing and stuff rendering videos so the most recent video that actually did besides the vlog who was the audio file headsets that was on my I was originally rendered on my old PC and then once this was built up I rear-ended it again to just kind of you know get the differences the video is just around 14 minutes long exported at 4k on that PC it took 32 minutes on here we're looking at 19 minutes so that's uh when it comes to being a youtuber time is money the fact that we're cutting down pretty much almost half if you will in terms of rendering itself is a big big plus and that's more so do again with the I 9 CPU I'm helping a lot of the rendering and stuff with the graphics and all that so in the end guys I'm pumped I'm pumped I put all the hardware you saw the components that I used in the description down below so you can check it out as well now to wrap it up for part 2 of the vlog if you like this video give it a big thumbs up show your support feel free to follow me on Twitter at random Frank P and last if you haven't already hit that subscribe button hope you enjoyed have a good daywhat's up guys I'm random Frank P back with part two of building my
