The Boys Are Back from the Top of the Track: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Motorsports

As we take a look back at the previous day's events, it's clear that the boys were on top of their game. They had reached the top of the track, and with the wheel came off the flywheel, they knew they had to act fast. "I uh i've one two one," the mechanic says, "and we know that wheel came off the flywheel." The team is aware of the potential consequences of not having oil pressure, so they take immediate action to kill the car and post a report.

The team is now tearing into the car to assess the damage. They have a spare transmission and some bolts on hand, which will come in handy for repairs. "I turned in a time slip," one of the mechanics says, "so they can help me get some breathing room at least." This means that the team has secured some time to work on the car without any pressure from the competition.

As they begin to repair the damage, it becomes clear that the engine is not hurting too badly. The mechanic explains that they have a spare engine that can be used if the current one is not recoverable. "If not I gotta call keith over and ask him if i can use my spare," he says. switched that out but it weighed the same thing again it's about to pull the pan and take out the relief valve in the oil pump did you already do that are you doing that later we have dominants yeah it'd be like five five hours of work oh no way so now we're gonna be not going to hit the road again you're now also number one overall right now yeah six six yesterday yes we hope we can get to gainesville and staying on that place unreal yeah with bailey dropping out that's gonna be it's gonna put the bull's eye on your your head yeah i know that so what a great pass that was your second up with him clark had a little bit of trouble yesterday at the track he uh his his rear end decided to blow up he put a new one in he's back on the road made it to orlando and now he's heading to gainesville how do it clark good how are you not bad really there's some fuel in it you don't have like a better better angle like this how long you did it there but it's on the wrong side that's fair all right so you blew up the rear end yesterday and you got it fixed you made it to orlando how's everything else going so far fine not bad drives fine not an issue we got new uh satisfaction coming for tomorrow for gainesville we'll put that in tonight was uh was the one you put in a different ratio or the buddy of mine he made a deal if he broke his he borrowed mine if i break mine gonna have his but he got different your ratios gotcha so i broke mine so i took his but i don't want to break his so fair plus i don't i gotta take it out anyways give it back to him go back home that's fair rice is probably picking up a brake caliper here christian is there something you need to tell me i was told that the 1320 guys got held up at gunpoint by the police that's not true okay good he just we left nebraska to come here we brought the weather with us we got the chevelle the trackers doing too here how's the beamer doing good all right yeah no trouble or anything on the road everybody everybody's been really reliable today thank god because it's cold and rainy so yeah yeah everybody everything cold nobody wants to work on their stuff today yeah maybe get some good rain axe on the already made it you're taking parts off of that and bringing them here bringing them here and putting them here so i can make it to the second checkpoint make it to the hotel take my car back apart put his back together so he can make it to the track in the morning and then i got parts coming so i can finish mining and head back to the track again that's what six oh there's about right there everything about fun we have made it to checkpoint number two it is hoot owl farmhouse it looks like they have ice cream here you wanna get some ice cream yeah let's do it you gotta take a picture and show that you were here or a video or something probably get some ice cream and then get back on the road i think this is our last we only have two checkpoints today only two checkpoints today this is cooper and he told me he's got something that i need to check out so we're gonna walk over here and see what he's got for me this is the good wheel that's the good wheel okay look at that bad wheel um i need light oh my god yeah i can see why that's the bad wheel off i was like i was at a basically stopped i was at a stop sign a light and i went to move forward and it didn't move and then like i floored it a little bit and all of a sudden i heard like and i was just on the ground i was just like my tire just popped i was like what was stopping me it could have been bad it could have been very bad we're good we're out here still alive ready to go to gainesville live to fight another day how's it going good we burn another rocker you burn another 100 miles so we get 100 mile per rocker that's terrifying it is cause i'm out of rockers yeah so we're gonna uh tomorrow we're gonna try to overnight some stuff for thursday so we have to go through the rest of this trip and all day tomorrow before we can even even see parts i was hoping i wasn't gonna see you at the second checkpoint because you you passed this like two hours ago yeah we just got done swapping rocker arms oh man we had a broken one and we found another one that was the bearing was on its way out so we swapped that one so i'm sorry busy night tonight man yeah hey that's what this kind of racing is all about yeah i mean we had a whole group of people here helping so very good we all pulled together so i'm sure tonight it'll be fun at the hotel we are back here at gainesville raceway for racing and unfortunately we're on a little bit of a weather delay but let's check out this track this is the first time we've been at gainesville raceway and what an amazing facility this has to be the nicest drag racing tower in the world that's for sure what a beautiful track we can't wait to get started here we got to have about a half mile visibility so the races are safe in the shutdown we're gonna go checkpoint i had the driver's side tire rod just come out it didn't break it just unscrewed itself and came out so when we came off the road i bet that was it was pretty scary yeah yeah and then literally last night about 10 30 rolling into gainesville and this radius rod on the control arm just snapped right off jeez man wheel went back into the side skirt hit the wheel well i'm gonna have to straighten that all out it was a battle so we ran we got it all off ran to ksr ty welded it up for me cleaned it up we're ready to go i love this car this is probably one of my favorite things that is here just because i'm a huge crx guy can you remind us what's all done to this thing yeah so it's a h22 hdb all-wheel drive uh wagon viscous coupler parts aluminum rods outlaw pistons springs retainers it's not cams but uh we're pushing 26 pounds of boost and making 720. you know yeah what does this car weigh these don't weigh a lot this one actually weighs 2630 with me in it that's really heavy for a sierra for a crx that's really heavy that's because i've got two radiators alternators in the back i got a lot in there yeah you do yeah well i love this thing i obviously love seeing you guys out here branson co-pilot this week geyser are you having fun yet i'm loving this this is incredible yeah usually we see you at cletus it's cool that you're here with your son you know it's good you're having a blast yeah well he's having a blast guys all right we'll let you get back to it so you can race um it's a good launch really good one it came out great well last time we we saw you this thing was in a couple days it didn't have a motor in it and the motor that was outside of it was split in two pieces yeah so the other motors in it now um we had to change the radiator um let's change the ball joint too but got it running last night and brought it on down so we're out of competition but they said we'd come make some exhibition passes and keep on the journey nice man it's been fun 8.98 at 149 for the wagon and jamie just can't catch a break unfortunately this week morning kyle morning cop how's it going good got the all-wheel drive civic out here at stickweed first time being out all-wheel drive this car used to be front-wheel drive and we got the conversion done like a week before this event so it's been doing good though we've been cruising along no issues we did have a rear axle go out on us that we had to fix in orlando but other than that she's been just cruising right along it has a dog box transmission now as well so a little worried how this long of a drive would do on a dock box it's only a four speed as well so we can use about like 60 miles an hour what's your quickest in the quarter uh we ran a pb first hit on the all-wheel drive setup and bradenton it did a 960 150. all right so just kind of feeling it out with a super soft launch to only a 1760 foot which all wheel drive civics are more than capable of sub one fours consistently so i'm excited to launch it a little harder and see what it can do but our goal is obviously to make it through the week yeah what's the engine turbo combo so this is just uh built h22 there's really nothing too special about it this piston and rod motor has springs and retainers in the heads and then this is a custom billet belt housing on the side here this is a whole billet machined piece and that is what allows us to run the all-wheel drive right now right now this is the second all-wheel drive h22 civic that exists that still has an h-style transmission over there it is an h series as well but it's an h to b which leads to motor the h series don't have as much support as like the honda b series and k series these are kind of the ones that just kind of got slept on but they're really good motors and if they had more aftermarket support they'd just be crushing it well it's cool to see more imports showing up at the dragon drive events you guys have uh been to a bunch of them i appreciate you coming out yeah of course watch it i hope people see you go deeper nines thank you 140 miles an hour nice work thank you hell yeah wpb nine five at 152 it's also the fastest that's ever gone to the 60 foot which isn't that good for an all-wheel drive car but if that was a front wheel drive 60 foot that'd be really good this thing's only been in the one sixes and that's like my best of best 60 foot so to top that by 10. it's second pass ever on the new setup we know the all-wheel drive is working good yeah 9-5 and she still runs so i'm happy with that we can load up and head up to the next spot what are you planning on adjusting for for tomorrow honestly probably nothing that is right that's exactly where we wanted it to be we've only had two passes on the car and everything's working so if it ain't broke don't fix it and then maybe on the last day we'll turn it all the way up once we're back and bradenton close in case something happens but since we're going all the way up to georgia we don't want to risk it it's perfect where it's at so we'll call it there yeah the rest of the crews didn't have very good luck on their festival no unfortunately we're gonna go check them out the end of the track and see what's up but yeah looks like something happened to jamie's doing i had to give him a ride back oh did you yeah i picked him up and then i'm not guys got like a 14 year old labrador just sitting there kind of barking just protecting his property like he should and the cop draws a gun on them and if you're behind us it looked like they drew the gun on us like we're just being a hooligan and so we start yelling at him like don't shoot the dog he's like he's like if it comes at me i'm gonna shoot it finally we de-escalated the situation and got barney fife to go back to his car the dog went home and you know lived another day that was not the story i was expecting to find out yeah it actually happened so everybody's like you're right i heard you got a gun drawn on you i'm like i'm not an unlawful person i promise you and of course all of the sick weakers are driving by seeing this going down oh yeah so it looks like i'm a criminal there's a car on the property that's a little bit older than all the other cars pretty much combined uh it's a 1925 franklin if you guys watched our drag week coverage in 2019 he brought a 1919 franklin to drag week and he was doing 30 to 31 second passes the fast he could go down the road is about 45 miles an hour we decided that wasn't enough pain and suffering he wanted to do it again but he brought a little bit newer rig with a 1925 franklin with a wooden frame about the same motor but he pulled off a 24-second blazing blazing folks 24-second pass at bradenton and he made it all the way to gainesville we're in chat with him real quick how are we doing hey we're doing great i can feel my fingers now so i was going to ask you how how was the drive in well first of all the drive to orlando and the drive to here how was those combined well i camped out out front here okay so uh the drive to orlando went really well i had a little fuel issue in the beginning got that fixed um ran through like an hour hour and a half of rain um how watertight is this thing not a goal how fast can you go on this i know i know in the 1919 you could go like 45 how fast can you go on this one this one 53. oh blazing them much faster and i saw the other day in brazil you did 24 second pass you were doing like 30s and 31s in 2019 in drag week yeah what's the goal for the 25 franklin i'm gonna stick right there within the 24s okay um i ran it kind of hard in second gear on that one so i'm gonna try to cool my jets a little bit make sure i finish um i might try to drop it a second or two um looking for a compression tester i was hoping it was not for mullet but it appears that it is i heard over the loud speaker you're looking for a compression tester and i was hoping it was not from ready yeah we got some really bad news but we may have just gotten some sort of good news basically we made the pass car sounded horrendous afterwards maybe we hung a valve so we loosened up the latch looks like the valve sealed because now we have full compression back in that cylinder however we made 90 pounds of dual pressure which means we must have lifted the head there so so when you tool up the valve basically it makes it longer and then the rocker keeps it just held open a little bit and we tool up the valves i don't know i mean i'm always down to send it but if we drop a valve through this sucker we're gonna we're gonna lose some money yeah and i mean i always send it but some days it's like do you make one more hit and lose 30 grand or do you say all right we gotta take it home yeah it's just not working so we're gonna talk that's a few youtube videos take a lot of youtube videos to make that back you know i make a lot of stupid decisions but i got to balance them sometimes so we're going to uh set the situation on the other valves and then talk to the engine builder see what we do fingers crossed we're gonna check with you later thanks guys someone unfortunate news in the cletus camp here but we'll hope that it's a simple fix that they can get done and make it back on the road to get to georgia tomorrow we'll see if we'll see them in the morning i'll take it with days since we've seen you so we left the track got three miles down the road my pump gas fuel pump uh locked up and of course me thinking the way i think i'm like this is my pump gas stuff it's all like easy simple i won't have to work on it so i made it all nice and tidy where you can't really even get to it so then try to pull the whole front of the part on the side of the road couldn't fix the pump so we switched it back over to the cable drive drove back to track on methanol by the time it was late so then a buddy of ours ran back from orlando got us a pump um and then of course my drive tires i measured wrong so we're gonna try to drive on the slicks but we couldn't find any other tires it was raining so we couldn't drive with slicks oh yeah so we took the best step that we could find and just wallowed my my other drive tires that were the wrong bolt pattern out until they fit and then yeah how exactly do you do that you just drill them really big okay he was very concerned he was buckled up he has a five point harness he was wearing in the past the drilling the holes out ain't a big deal it's that we also had to add about an inch of spacer behind the wheel inch and a half to space it out so there's nothing holding the wheel except the studs there's no hub centric nothing so i was a little sketched out just tighten the hell out of them yeah that's basically what i did all right well hopefully you'll see in a deep seven seventeen seven oh six ninety would be great we have to see a six fight out of the week yeah i mean it's not my motor it's his have me i bet you do have me beat actually which is hilarious yeah all in this car yeah so let's let's talk about the gto briefly what's the combo here for the people haven't seen the car so it's a 517 cubic inch pontiac built by muscle motors in strathmore it's this little uh a shop not far from my house in canada and then it's got a 94 millimeter uh turbo from reed at works turbocharged so it's a 94-120 it makes good power so it doesn't take much like 15 pounds of boost it'll make 1400 to the tire wow in a heavy car though and a heavy car so the car we waited uh at day one it was 4020 pounds so i made the 000 cut off oh yeah i think i'm okay there you made the 3 000 pound yeah by a thousand pounds that wasn't bad but it's got to be comfortable driving this thing with that much weight it's going to make it a nice smooth ride i mean i don't know what it weighs with all of us in it three adults and all of our gear and hauling a trailer it's all in a trailer it's heavy and then the transmissions um g-force built about 10 prototypes of a bigger gear set and stuff so i have one of those so it's a t-56 magnum it's got all the gears first and forth are face plated and fifth and six are synchronized so uh yeah like i said fifth and six cruising down the highway or you know even even when you're cruising around at 60 miles an hour and fifth it's still low rpm i love it well oil pump gear inside of here broke and i'm going to pull this off of the other motor and put it on this one and other than that there's no metal in the pan everything looks good i'm going to pull the windows off and look at the bearings and stuff i have another set of bearings if i gotta put it in there but beautiful i think it's gonna work you guys are making quick work out of this yeah nice well the boys are making progress they do have a few hours of work to go but they're gonna have that back in there in no time hopefully that's all they need to fix another interesting day here on sick week we had an amazing day at this beautiful facility here at gainesville raceway we're about to hit the road for 120 mile ish drive to south georgia motorsports park for the fourth day of six week better angle like this how long you did it there but it's on the wrong side that's fair all right so you blew up the rear end yesterday and you got it fixed you made it to orlando how's everything else going so far fine not bad drives fine not an issue we got new uh satisfaction coming for tomorrow for gainesville we'll put that in tonight was uh was the one you put in a different ratio or the rolling through and leaving because it's it's 50 degrees and rainy and windy it feels like nebraska we left nebraska to come here we brought the weather with us we got the chevelle the trackers doing too here how's the beamer doing good all right yeah no trouble or anything on the road everybody everybody's been really reliable today thank god because it's cold and rainy so yeah yeah everybody another car at a hotel and because he's got the same setup that i got and i got somebody picking them up bringing them over here so we can make it to the hotel where's this car that they're taking it out of the hotel hotel oh and he made it to our hotel in gainesville gainesville yeah so a car that already made it you're taking parts off of that and bringing them here bringing them here and putting them here so i can make it to the second checkpoint make it to the hotel take my car back apart put his back together so he can make it to the track in the morning and then i got parts coming so i can finish mining and head back to the track again that's what six oh there's about right there everything about fun we have made it to checkpoint number two it is hoot owl farmhouse it looks like they have ice cream here you wanna get some ice cream yeah let's do it you gotta take a picture and show that you were here or a video or something probably get some ice cream and then get back overnight some stuff for thursday so we have to go through the rest of this trip and all day tomorrow before we can even even see parts i was hoping i wasn't gonna see you at the second checkpoint we've been at gainesville raceway and what an amazing facility this has to be the nicest drag racing tower in the world that's for sure what a beautiful track we can't wait to get started here we got to have about a half mile visibility so the races are safe in the shutdown we're gonna go check out some cars in the pit see what it took to get here show you some more details on cars that are here road yesterday yeah it was uh it was a trip for sure um right before we got to the first checkpoint i had the driver's side tire rod just come out it didn't break it just unscrewed itself and came out so when we came off the road i bet that was it was pretty scary yeah yeah and then literally last night about 10 30 rolling into gainesville and this radius rod on the control arm just snapped right off jeez man wheel went back into the side skirt hit the wheel well i'm gonna have to straighten that all out it was a battle so we ran we got it all off ran to ksr ty welded it up for me cleaned it up we're ready to go i love this car this is probably one of my favorite things that is here just because i'm a huge crx guy can you remind us what's all done to this thing yeah so it's a h22 hdb all-wheel drive uh wagon viscous coupler parts aluminum rods outlaw pistons springs retainers it's not cams but uh we're pushing 26 pounds of boost and making 720. you know yeah what does this car weigh these don't weigh a lot this one actually weighs 2630 with me in it that's really heavy for a sierra for a crx that's really heavy that's because i've got two radiators alternators in the back i pieces yeah so the other motors in it now um we had to change the radiator um let's change the ball joint too but got it running last night and brought it on down so we're out of competition but they said we'd come make some exhibition passes and keep on the journey nice man it's been fun 8.98 at 149 for the wagon and jamie just can't catch a break unfortunately this week morning kyle morning cop how's it going good got the all-wheel drive civic out here at stickweed first time being out all-wheel drive this car used to be front-wheel drive and we got the conversion done like a week before this event so it's been doing good though we've been cruising along no issues we did have a rear axle go out on us that we had to fix in orlando but other than that she's been just cruising right along it has a dog box transmission now as well so a little worried how this long of a drive would do on a dock box it's only a four speed as well so we can use about like 60 miles an hour what's your quickest in the quarter uh we ran a pb first hit on the all-wheel drive setup and bradenton it did a 960 150. all right so just kind of feeling it out with a super soft launch to only a 1760 foot which all wheel drive civics are more than capable of sub one fours consistently so i'm excited to launch it a little harder and see what it can do but our goal is obviously to make it through the week yeah what's the engine turbo combo so this is just uh built h22 there's really nothing too special about it this piston and rod motor has springs and retainers in the heads and then this is a custom billet belt housing on the side here this is a whole billet machined piece and that is what allows us to run the all-wheel drive right now right now this is the second all-wheel drive h22 civic that exists that still has an h-style transmission over there it is an h series as well but it's an h to b which leads to motor the h series don't have as much support as like the honda b series and k series these are kind of the ones that just kind of got slept on but they're really good motors and if they had more aftermarket support they'd just be crushing it well it's cool to see more imports showing up at the dragon drive events you guys have uh been to a bunch of them i appreciate you coming out yeah of course watch it i hope people see you go deeper nines thank you 140 miles an hour nice work thank you hell yeah wpb nine five at 152 it's also the fastest that's ever gone to the 60 foot which isn't that good for an all-wheel drive car but if that was a front wheel drive 60 foot working good yeah 9-5 and she still runs so i'm happy with that we can load up and head up to the next spot what are you planning on adjusting for for tomorrow honestly probably nothing that is right that's exactly where we wanted it to be we've only had two passes on the car and everything's working so if it ain't broke don't fix it and then maybe on the last day we'll turn it all the way up once we're back and bradenton close in case something happens but since we're going all the way up to georgia we don't want to risk it it's perfect where it's at so we'll call it there yeah the rest of the it comes at me i'm gonna shoot it finally we de-escalated the situation and got barney fife to go back to his car the dog went home and you know lived another day that was not the story i was 1925 franklin if you guys watched our drag week coverage in 2019 he brought a 1919 franklin to drag week and he was doing 30 to 31 second passes the fast he could go down the road is about 45 miles an hour we decided that wasn't enough pain and suffering he wanted to do it again but he brought a little bit newer rig with a 1925 franklin with a wooden frame about the same motor but he pulled off a 24-second blazing blazing folks 24-second pass at bradenton and he made it all the way to gainesville we're in chat with him real quick how are we doing hey we're doing great i can feel my fingers now so i was going to ask you how how was the drive in well first of all the drive to orlando and the drive to here how was those combined well i camped out out front here okay so uh the drive to orlando went really well i had a little fuel issue in the beginning got that fixed um ran through like an hour hour and a half of rain um how watertight is this thing not a goal how fast can you go on this i know i know in the 1919 you could go like 45 how fast can you go on this one this one 53. oh blazing them much faster and i saw the other day in brazil you did 24 second pass you were doing like 30s and 31s in 2019 in drag week yeah what's the goal for the 25 franklin i'm gonna stick right there within the 24s okay um i ran it kind of hard in second gear on that one so i'm gonna try to cool my you're looking for a compression tester and i was hoping it was not from ready yeah we got some really bad news but we may have just gotten some sort of good news basically we made the pass car sounded horrendous afterwards maybe we hung a valve so we loosened up the latch looks like the valve sealed because now we have full compression back in that cylinder however we made 90 pounds of dual pressure which means we must have lifted the head there so so when you tool up the valve basically it makes it longer and then the rocker keeps it just held open a little bit and we tool up the valves i don't know i mean i'm always down to send it but if we drop a valve through this sucker we're gonna we're gonna lose some money yeah and i mean i always send it but some days it's like do you make one more hit and lose 30 grand or do you say all right we gotta take it home yeah it's just not working so we're gonna talk that's a few youtube videos take a lot of youtube videos to make that back you know i make a lot of stupid decisions but i got to balance them sometimes so we're going to uh set the situation on the other valves and then talk to the engine builder see what we do fingers crossed we're gonna check with you later thanks guys someone unfortunate news in the cletus camp here but we'll hope that it's a simple fix that they can get done and make it back on the road to get course me thinking the way i think i'm like this is my pump gas stuff it's all like easy simple i won't have to work on it so i made it all nice and tidy where you can't really even get to it so then try to pull the whole front of the part on the side of the road couldn't fix the pump so we switched it back over to the cable drive drove back to track on methanol by the time it was late so then a buddy of ours ran back from orlando got us a pump um and then of course my drive tires i measured wrong so we're gonna try to drive on the slicks but we couldn't find any other tires it was raining so we couldn't drive with slicks oh yeah so we took the best step that we could find and just wallowed my my other drive tires that were the wrong bolt pattern out until they fit and then yeah how exactly do you do that you just drill them really big okay he was very concerned he was buckled up he has a five point harness he was wearing in the past the drilling the holes out ain't a big deal it's that we also had to add about an inch of spacer behind the wheel inch and a half to space it out so there's nothing holding the wheel except the studs there's no hub centric nothing so i was a little sketched out just tighten the hell out of them yeah that's basically what i did all right well hopefully you'll see in a deep seven seventeen seven oh six ninety would be great we have to see a of these dragon drive events but this has to be the longest you've ever driven to get what they want to use atlanta georgia was the longest before this this is the longest yeah it was 3 500 miles to get to the hotel in bradenton do you know how many states you've been to in the us at this point uh no but i gotta i gotta plot them out on a map and put them inside the panel because i'm pretty sure like yeah just about all of them you might have me i bet you do have me beat actually which is hilarious yeah all in this car yeah so let's let's talk about the gto briefly what's the combo here for the people haven't seen the car so it's a 517 cubic inch pontiac built by muscle motors in strathmore it's this little uh a shop not far from my house in canada and then it's got a 94 millimeter uh turbo from reed at works turbocharged so it's a 94-120 it makes good power so it doesn't take much like 15 pounds of boost it'll make 1400 to the tire wow in a heavy car though and a heavy car so the car we waited uh at day one it was 4020 pounds so i made the 000 cut off oh yeah i think i'm okay there you made the 3 000 pound yeah by a thousand pounds that wasn't bad but it's got to be comfortable driving this thing with that much weight it's going to make it a nice smooth ride i mean i don't know what it weighs with all of us in it three adults and all of our gear and hauling a trailer it's all in a trailer it's heavy and then the transmissions um g-force built about 10 prototypes of a bigger gear set and stuff so i have one of those so it's a t-56 magnum it's got all the gears first and forth are face plated and fifth and six are synchronized so uh yeah like i said fifth and six cruising down the highway or you know even even when you're cruising around at 60 miles an hour and fifth it's still low rpm i love it well drink your coffee yeah today's your day i want to see that eight second pass in person thanks appreciate it thank you sir hey that's his new bb isn't can fix it i have a spare trans and jamie's got some bolts i turned in a time slip so they can help me got some breathing room at least yeah short to drive tomorrow i think or tonight i think it's like 120 miles yeah yeah so the shortest of them all hopefully the engine isn't hurting bad yeah we're gonna hope so if not i gotta call keith over and ask him if i can use my spare if if it's not hurt too bad i probably will pull parts off that one and fix this one there you go keep going with this one beautiful yeah we're starting to try starting to tear into all you guys get back to work with some uncertain damages here and jamie most likely out these guys work harder than a lot of people in these pits here it is not easy to finish one of these races especially with something as modified as these cars hopefully we'll see at least two of them in the next track maybe three jamie's a question mark right now but they're gonna have a long night ahead of them we'll see what happens tomorrow back alive it's alive so hopefully this goes down good we just put like a decent 7 32 7 30 and break hoping to best his 6-9-0 from earlier i think he's in third place right now in the rx-7 he may have passed up the swedish wagon not sure what the numbers are right now but it's gonna be a close race for third overall 7 296 all that we spin the tire ah dang it dude i'm so pissed right now yeah i know we did all that work and then we got put in the slick tire lane oh it's like we were on the regular range georgia so the c4 corvettes locking in first place overall again with the 83 they're gonna be feeling really good and enjoying the drive to georgia tonight we got parker mitchell over there 8 42 oh yeah so every time i forget how violent that truck launches man and it's surprising every damn time it's been a couple hours since we left shane and brent let's see where they're at now with the crx oh all right well there's the engine how's it going it's going that's for sure we broke an oil pump so yeah the ring gear off the fly will fall off broke all the tack welds so weld those he's going to check the engine all out and we have a spare engine if things don't check out we're getting together what happened with the engine so the oil pump gear inside of here broke and i'm going to pull this off of the other motor and put it on this one and other than that there's no metal in the pan everything looks good i'm going to pull the windows off and look at the bearings and stuff i have another set of bearings if i gotta put it in there but beautiful i think it's gonna work you guys are making quick work out of this yeah nice well the boys are making progress they do have a few hours of work to go but they're gonna have that back in there in no time hopefully that's all they need to fix another interesting day here on sick week we had an amazing day at this beautiful facility here at gainesville raceway we're about to hit the road for 120 mile ish drive to
