We're Gonna See That Probably Several Months Out
But let's pull out the pens here so you've got the lavender purple pen and when you start popping the pen out on this one you can see that it's got a blue tip and then the rest of the pen is this nice vibrant yellow. And of course, part of the drawers when you use screen off memo, it's going to write in yellow. Let's set these aside for a moment though and see what else is in this box.
Now a lot of you guys tell me that I've missed that there is a case inside of here but for the United States models we don't get a case so for us it's just going to be some documentation. So whatever case we get, we have to purchase ourselves. We've got a USBC connector adapter, we've got our charging brick right here, got the USB C charging cable, the AKG tuned headphones, and then lastly, some replacement earbuds and also some replacement pen tips. This is all it's in the box.
Let's Set This Phone Up
So let's power it on and check out that screen. Shall we? Really, fingers crossed I don't want to have to exchange this please be good. The first time. The uniformity on this model here has been really really great. A fantastic screen so hopefully, we'll get the same results here. Okay, good. And at very first peek, this looks to be very nice and uniform.
So I set this up and I've played around with it just a little bit. I didn't test out but I did test out the performance a little bit. Yeah, this one is a little bit faster than 128 gigabyte version that's really what you can expect from having larger storage. Having faster read and write speeds. I was able to show the game start up a bit faster copying large files like video files actually copied faster.
And then also, I played around with some video editing just a little bit. Like if you cut down a video and then you save it. This was able to process that faster all is within just a few seconds so it's not huge but it's enough to be noticeable now this is all preliminary. I'm going to do a lot more testing course. I really don't think that just for general everyday apps there's going to be any difference with the applications although you might be able to get more games open for example.
So for more memory intensive things, I'm also assuming the extra RAM probably really helps with Dex performance which I haven't tried yet either so it's pretty exciting this one looks like it's going to perform just a little tiny bit better and lastly before I leave you all to go and finish this review which I will release sometime next week because I really want to include the performance of these phones in the performance section especially the differences between them.
That Would Be Absolutely Crazy to Not Have Some Type of Protection for My $1400 Phone
I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way so I'm going to link a video right here where I went to Best Buy and I got a bunch of cases that you can easily buy in store to help protect your phone. These are several cases I tried on and really really loved so go and check out this video and then also as far as cases go, I really wanted to give a shout out to Rhino Shield and thank them so so much for sending out these prototypes of the Solitude for the Galaxy Note 9.
They sent it to me in carbon fiber and also in the classic black. I love the solid suit so much this is the case that I've been using on my galaxy s 9 plus for the past several months now and it's just been awesome this is probably my favorite case so we just really wanted to share this with you guys and I'm so grateful that they set these out so quickly so these are really protective light cases. They're not really bulky they offer over 11 feet of drop protection and they're not hard to put your phone in it's not hard to take it out so I really appreciate that.

arrived so this one right here is my own personal phone where this lavender purple one right here is my review unit 6 gigabytes of ram in the hundred twenty eight gigabyte model and man this thing was a pretty penny I bought it outright unlocked so this is a twelve hundred and fifty dollar phone and what tax it came to a grand total of almost fourteen hundred dollars so this is the most expensive phone I've ever laid my hands on I must be completely nuts but I did buy it for a good reason so not only did I tell you guys I was going to unbox this but I also want to compare the two models here so of course this one is eight gigabytes of RAM 512 gigabytes of internal storage vs 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal storage so I really want to see in a quantifiable way if there are any differences between the RAM management between the two and also if there are any differences between the read and write speeds the idea here is that this one might be a better performer is it worth it by cost you can decide but let's go ahead and unbox it now the other reason I had to get this guy is that I like this purple phone but it really liked the blue on the ocean blue one with the yellow S Pen but they didn't have one of those for me so let's see what this looks like so pulling up the tab here I am actually totally nerding out I love the note line this is the phone that got me really interested in reviewing phones on my channel where before that I reviewed Tamagotchis but anyway let's go ahead and grab it out go ahead and pull the tab here oh yeah so I'm really hoping that main reasons is because I kind of like this darker frame that we have here I kind of felt that the frame color on the purple one is just too light for my taste especially when we've got that nice black front when you've got to display this big the hugeness of it all just looks a lot more sleek when it's in a darker package so here you can see both of the colors I'm a little bit disappointed
