Improve Network Performance on iPhone

**Tips to Improve Your iPhone's Network Performance and Call Quality**

As an iPhone user, you may have experienced network issues, poor call quality, or slow data speeds at times. However, there are several steps you can take to improve your iPhone's network performance and call quality.

**Replacing the SIM Card**

One of the simplest ways to improve your iPhone's network performance is to replace the SIM card. The original SIM card may have become worn out over time, causing issues with network connectivity. If you've had your iPhone for more than a year or two, it's a good idea to get a new SIM card replacement. Oftentimes, carriers will provide free SIM card replacements for their customers, allowing you to keep your existing number and enjoy better network performance.

You can see the difference between an old SIM card and a brand new one by holding them side by side. The new SIM card should appear shiny and gold in color, while the old SIM card may have a dark or copperish hue. This is due to the wear and tear on the original SIM card, which can cause it to degrade over time.

**Carrier Updates**

Another important step in improving your iPhone's network performance is to check for carrier updates. Sometimes, carriers will deliver software updates that improve the modem on your iPhone, which can lead to better call quality, faster data speeds, and more reliable connections. To check for carrier updates, head into Settings > General > About, where you'll find any available carrier settings.

If there's an update available, click "Update Carrier Settings" to install it. This will help ensure that your iPhone is connected to the latest network technology, which can lead to better performance and call quality.

**Indoor Call Quality**

One of the most common issues with network performance is poor indoor call quality. If you frequently make calls from inside a building or office, there are several settings you can adjust to improve the quality of your calls.

To enable Wi-Fi calling on your iPhone, head into Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling, and turn it on. This will allow your iPhone to use the cellular network in combination with Wi-Fi to improve call quality indoors.

Additionally, you can adjust your cell data options by heading into Settings > Cell > Voice & Data. Here, you'll find three options: automatic switching between LTE and 5G, selecting only one type of network (e.g., LTE or 5G), or Standalone 5G. We recommend choosing the "Automatic" option, as it will automatically switch between networks based on which performs best in your area.

If available, enabling the Standalone 5G option can also improve call quality and performance. However, this feature may not be supported by all carriers, so check with your carrier to see if they offer it.

**Wi-Fi Assist**

Finally, there's one more setting that can help improve network performance: Wi-Fi assist. If this option is turned off, it can cause issues with download speeds and data connectivity when using the cellular network indoors. To enable Wi-Fi assist, head into Settings > Cell > Wi-Fi Assist, and turn it on.

By following these tips and recommendations, you can significantly improve your iPhone's network performance, call quality, and overall user experience.

two years go get a new SIM card replacement as I mentioned oftentimes they're free you get to keep your own number and it's fairly simple to do now another thing you want to look into is you want to go into carrier updates and check if there's any carrier updates for your iPhone oftentimes carriers do deliver carrier updates for the modem on your iPhone but oftentimes you don't even notice this because you have to go into settings here then you want to head on over into General and then you want to go into the about section and if there's any carrier settings it will pop up on the center of your area automatic switching is the best option in order to let your iPhone determine which network is the best at the time of where you're at in order to choose what network to choose rather LTE or 5G at the moment to give you better performance download speeds and things like that now there might be a fourth option available to you it depends on your carrier and that is the Standalone 5G option if you do have this option I recommend you enable it this will definitely improve the call Quality and performance again that fourth option will be available here if your carrier supports it my
