Greeting my lovelies! Hi, it's Emmy! Welcome back.
I am in beautiful southern California visiting family for the holidays. And yeah, don't mind the ambient noises of cars and, you know, grinding. It just adds to the flavor of this video. Right? Plus it's like old school Emmy with this webcam. Right? Tryin' to think of the positives here, including the grinding, metal grinding... metal grinding...
Earlier today I posted on my social media, I have visited the Hello Kitty cafe. Weeeuuuuuuu Yes, they have a little pop-up cafe in Irvine, and I got this very charming bag, with Hello Kitty on it. So, I used to be a Hello Kitty head when I was a very young girl, and now they have a cafe dedicated just to sweets and stuff. All themed Hello Kitty.
Yes, see? Sprinkles and everything. So, I took some footage of a cake they had... a Hello Kitty birthday cake thing. Lemme know in the comments if you want to see that made, 'cuz I'll see if I can make my own version of it. It seems simple enough to make so... chime in down below if you wanna see it!
So, I picked up a couple things while I was at the cafe. This is a bow. It should actually be in my hair, right? Doesn't Hello Kitty wear it in her hair? It's a water bottle that is shaped like a hair bow. It's so stinkin' clever because all it is, is just, you know, a PET bottle...just wrapped in some cute plastic.
Let's taste it and see what it's like. Mmmmm, tastes like plastic-y water... that's surprising, right? *laughs* Pretty stinkin' cute and, you know, you could take a picture like this. The other thing I got, were these. Ooooo... very cute packaging again. Again we have a bow and inside, can you see that?! are, macarons!
So, here's the bottom. And....here's the side. So, there they are. We get, five of them. These were fifteen dollars. Each of them have a little bow... look, Hello Kitty style. Bright, bright red in color. Can't really see the filling. These do, I have to say, feel very mass-produced. Look, there's a little bit of, sloppy kind of, gluing there.
Here's the blue, with a red bow. Look, this one has some bumps on it. I saved the best for last. Look how stinkin' cute that is! *laughs* Now, I must confess, I do not know this character. Do chime in and tell me what character this is. Looks like this might be painted? Like spray painted on or something... All right, since I have this one in my hand, let's give this one a taste.
Itadakimasu Mmmm...I'm waitin' for the grinder to stop. Doesn't taste like the freshest macaron I've ever had. But it's certainly not bad. It's got a crispy, crunchy exterior; it's sweet; and this one tastes a little bit nutty. I'm not sure what the flavors are. But, kind of vanilla cream and maybe, like, almond flavor? Not bad. And certainly not as cute as you used to be. *laughs*
Let's do the rainbow backwards... let's try this one next. I'm going to try all these different colored macarons. So, red is up first. Ooooh, that smells like jam. I think that one's gonna be strawberry jam. Let's try it. Mm-hmm. Most definitely jam -- raspberry jam. And it even has little bits of, raspberry seeds in there. I can feel them kind of crunching in there. Nice.
I would say easily... Mr. Blue was my favorite -- nice little milk chocolate ganache center. And, in terms of... aesthetics, Mr. Cat was my favorite. So, chime in down below if you want to see some cute Hello Kitty themed drinks or that Hello Kitty cake, and yeah! Hope you guys enjoyed that one. I hope you guys learned something. Hope you enjoyed that lovely background noise.
And I shall see you in my next video... Oh! Don't forget to share this video with your friends, subscribe, like, and all that good stuff. All right, toodaloo, take care, byeeeee!*laughs*
