This Screen is Shattered _ MacBook Flip or Flop ep. 2
Welcome to MacBook Flip or Flop
Kind and captions are set for our video today, where we're looking at this 15-inch laptop that appears to need a screen. Let's take a closer look at these photographs.
As we can see, some great big thing has impacted the screen, which is unfortunately ruined. However, apart from that, we can also notice a nice Beats sticker on it and its bottom case looks like it's in pretty good shape. It seems to come with a full case, which is pretty neat. Additionally, there are chargers available for this laptop, which is very good.
Furthermore, the 16-gigabyte storage option has been identified, and it's clear that this is either a 2014 or 2015 MacBook Pro based on its specifications. We'll see if we can get any more details about this model. As it stands now, it's a base model, which means there are some limitations to consider.
It's worth noting that one of the most important aspects when looking at listings like these is the price of the screen. Displays for laptops can run up to $300, and considering this laptop doesn't seem to be going any further in price, that could be a good deal. However, our personal preference would be to exercise caution.
If we're trying to flip this laptop on eBay, we need to consider how much we can realistically sell it for. Based on current listings, it seems that the base model from 2014 might only fetch $900 at most, if we're lucky. If we take into account our safety margins, which would be $300 in this case, we'd already be at $1,200.
However, assuming we can sell this laptop for $900 and take home 88% after eBay's selling fees, that leaves us with a relatively small margin for profit. In reality, if the price goes up beyond $400, it may not be worth bidding on unless you already have a screen to put on it without having to spend any money.
Another listing we came across has an LCD TV machine that has never been opened or altered, which is still available at 2015 MacBook Pro. While this laptop might fetch a slightly higher price of $900, we'd still be looking at a limited margin for profit considering the cost of displays.
Our final verdict on these laptops is that they seem like they will not sell well if the prices continue as they are going. Therefore, it's essential to keep in mind our personal preferences when dealing with listings like these and make informed decisions about potential purchases or sales.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enalright guys welcome back to another episode of MacBook flip or flop today we're looking at this 15-inch laptop that looks like it just needs a screen so let's take a look at these photographs yeah we can see very clearly that some great big thing has impacted the screen and well it's ruined so let's keep looking through these pictures apart from you know a nice beats sticker and this bottom case it does look like it's in pretty good shape well how about that it looks like we get a full case with this that's pretty neat so it come is that that's okay too chargers there we go very good I guess and 16 gigabytes let's take a look this is a 2.2 gigahertz so that means this is either a 2014 or 2015 MacBook Pro let's see if we can get any more details so it is a base model so you can see it's a bit it's got 4 days and 13 hours left so one important note with listings like these the screen is very expensive these displays will run you about 275 $300 so assuming that this computer doesn't go that much further in price that could be a good deal however I personally am a little bit hesitant I would I mean if you if you're trying to flip this thing on eBay then realistically if it's a 2014 base model let's say we can get I don't know how about $900 maybe if we're if we're lucky we can probably get 900 for this so $900 tops we're at 375 now we know that on top of that 375 we're going to have to add another let's call it 300 for safety so we're already at 675 and that's what the listing as it currently is so let's go ahead and assume that we sell this thing for nine hundred and we take eighty-eight percent after eBay selling fees at seven hundred ninety two so that's really not that much room for profit and that's assuming that this price does not go up so realistically if this goes any more than four hundred this is not worth bidding on unless you already have a screen that you didn't pay any money for and is just kind of sitting around in that case sure go for it but if you're buying a screen to put on this thing 375 I would do any higher than 400 not worth doing and if we keep going down here we have screen cracks used for eight months with LCD TV machine has never been open or altered so oh well how about that look at that 2015 so we might be able to get certainly 900 is a shoo-in so I'll stick with my math for that but you might be able to push it a little bit higher if you absolutely had to I still wouldn't pay more than maybe 450 for this because those screens are so expensive and you're not really gonna have much room for profit if you still have to buy a display for it and seeing us there's four days and six bids this is probably gonna get into the five $600 range at which point this is absolutely not worth buying so my final verdict on this is assuming the price continues as it is going to this is going to be a flop thank you guys for watching this video and as usual make sure to send any suggestions for listings for me to take a look at to my subreddit I check it all the time and I will gladly make videos on listings you guys sent me so head on over there and I will check them outalright guys
