Why, AMD WHY!

The Bright Side: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X are Impressive

Linus and Anthony from LTT (Linus Tech Tips) recently reviewed the upcoming AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X processors, and they were certainly impressed. The new Ryzen 3 series promises to be a significant upgrade over its predecessors, with improved performance and power efficiency. As Linus and Anthony pointed out, the new Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X are pretty freaking awesome. While AMD still has some time before these processors launch, it's clear that they have made significant strides in improving their offerings.

On the other hand, Microsoft had a big live stream yesterday where they were supposed to reveal gameplay of upcoming Xbox Series X titles, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla. However, despite the promise of exciting new games, the event was decidedly less than expected. Instead of actual gameplay, we got trailers that featured some in-game footage and graphics. James, who loves gameplay, was clearly disappointed by this lack of hands-on experience.

In related news, LTX 2020 has officially been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was scheduled for later this year, but it will now be replaced with a smaller-scale alternative. Sorry to those who had already bought tickets, but hopefully, LTX 2021 will be more successful in the future.

The cancellation of LTX 2020 is not an isolated incident, as several other events have also fallen victim to the pandemic. The Tokyo Game Show, for example, has announced its cancellation, and it's unclear when Computex will take place this year. For now, it seems that many events are being postponed or cancelled altogether.

Tech Site VPN Pro recently published research on vulnerabilities in VPN services like BetterNet and PrivateVPN. While these vulnerabilities could have allowed hackers to hijack software updates, both VPNs have since received fixes for the flaws and there's no evidence that they were actually compromised.

Meanwhile, the FDA has issued an emergency use authorization to Sherlock Biosciences for their rapid COVID-19 test, which uses CRISPR to genetically detect the virus. This is a significant development in the fight against COVID-19, and it will be interesting to see how this technology is used in the future.

Finally, Singapore has successfully landed its own spacecraft designed to carry crew to and from orbit, after launching it into space on Tuesday. The spacecraft, which is designed to build an outpost on the Moon by 2030, is a major achievement for China's space program. However, it's worth noting that Elon Musk has been working towards his own lunar ambitions, and it's unclear who will ultimately win out in the quest for lunar supremacy.

In related news, Elon Musk recently explained how to pronounce his new child's name on the Joe Rogan podcast. The name is simply "X", pronounced with a soft "ash" sound at the end. While this may seem straightforward, some people are still struggling to get it right. Perhaps we can all take a cue from Elon and just shorten it to "Ash"? After all, that's what he uses in his head.
