Zune Phone: Windows Mobile 7 First Details

The Zoom Phone: A Step Up from Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5?

When it comes to smartphones, one name that often gets overlooked is Zoom, a brand that has been around for quite some time. However, with their latest offering, the Zoom phone, they're looking to make a comeback in the world of mobile devices. In this article, we'll take a closer look at what makes the Zoom phone tick and whether it's enough to bring back the momentum that Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5 had.

Hardware-wise, the Zoom phone looks pretty good. The Nvidia Tegra chip is a great feature, offering fast performance and efficient battery life. Additionally, the phone's design is sleek and modern, making it a standout in a crowded market. The use of capacitive touchscreens is also a welcome change from the stylus-heavy interface that Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5 had to offer.

The Zoom phone also boasts a large 3-inch screen, perfect for browsing the web or checking your email. However, one thing that's noticeably absent is the camera. Unfortunately, we don't have any information on how many megapixels the phone will have, but it's safe to say that it won't be enough to take down the likes of the iPhone 4.

One of the most significant features of the Zoom phone is its Windows Mobile 7 operating system. While Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5 were already decent, they fell short in terms of user experience. With Windows Mobile 7, we can expect a much smoother and more intuitive interface. The new OS promises to be faster and more responsive than ever before, making it perfect for everyday use.

Windows Mobile 7 is arguably going to be the bigger deal than the Zoom phone itself. As we all know, Microsoft's mobile operating system has been struggling to keep up with the likes of Android and iOS. However, with Windows Mobile 7, things are about to change. The new OS promises a much more finger-friendly interface, making it perfect for those who prefer using their fingers instead of a stylus.

The Zoom phone will also come with a music player that's similar to the one found on the Zoom HD. This means you'll be able to enjoy your favorite tunes without any lag or buffering issues. Additionally, you'll have access to the Windows Marketplace, where you can buy music, movies, and TV shows just like on iTunes.

One of the most exciting features of the Windows Marketplace is the possibility of purchasing unlimited songs for a monthly fee. This could be a game-changer for music lovers out there who want access to their favorite tunes without breaking the bank. With the Zoom phone and Windows Mobile 7, Microsoft is finally taking steps in the right direction.

So, what can we expect from the Zoom phone? With its sleek design, fast performance, and smooth interface, it's clear that Microsoft has put a lot of effort into this device. Whether or not it will be enough to bring back the momentum that Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5 had remains to be seen.

For now, we can only speculate about what Windows Mobile 7 has in store for us. From what we've seen so far, it looks like Microsoft is finally on the right track. With a focus on finger-friendly interfaces, smooth performance, and access to music and movies through the Windows Marketplace, Windows Mobile 7 could be the comeback Microsoft needs.

The Zoom phone is set to make its debut at the World Mobile Congress later this month, along with Windows Mobile 7. It's going to be interesting to see how both devices hold up against their competitors. Will they be able to compete with the likes of Android and iOS? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: Microsoft is on the right track.

As we wait for the official announcements, it's hard not to feel a sense of optimism about what's to come. Windows Mobile 7 could finally bring back the momentum that Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5 had, while the Zoom phone offers a sleek design and fast performance. Whether or not these devices will be enough to take down the competition remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: Microsoft is on the right track.

Hey, about time Windows mobile stop sucking anyway!

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys what is up it's Duncan and today I'm here with a video going over all the latest rumors we have on the zoom phone as well as Windows mobile 7 both should be announced at the world mobile Congress later this month and some of the things we know are actually pretty impressive um you know Windows Mobile's got kicked around I mean it's old it it's slow it's just no nothing really compared to you know like the iPhone Os or Android so when I finally getting redesigned it might just maybe be able to actually compete so let's go ahead and go over everything we know and see what we got anyway let's get this one started okay so let's go over the hardware part of this which is obviously the zoom phone um now it's got we got a lot of the specs on it we don't have everything but from what we know it's pretty good um now what we know is Windows Mobile is actually going to need a a lot higher specs to run so you know most pretty much any Windows mobile like 6.5 device right now will not be able to run Windows mobile 7 believe the only uh device that we do know that will be improved is or I'm sorry upgraded will be the HTC HD2 and that obviously has a Snapdragon processor um a huge capactive screen so know that that bods pretty well for Windows mobile 7 so just just kind of basing off of that and plus what we know it's pretty easy to piece together what the uh Zoom phone is going to have um should have a Snapdragon processor um and we do know that it's going to have an Nvidia Tegra chip uh the Nvidia Tegra is what the zoom HD uses um and it's a pretty powerful little chip it allows you to play 720 video obviously you're not going to really enjoy 720 video on a small screen but you can output it to a TV should run really nice and smooth also can run some pretty nice games if you look at the zoom HD um there's some really pretty graphically intense games that it runs with Pro problem so I would definitely expect Windows mobile to uh you know utilize the same sort of games um now the only thing we really don't know about is what it's going to look like um now even though we're calling it The Zoom phone and for this is basically the zoom phone we've been waiting for it's not going to be named you know Microsoft Zoom phone or any it's not going to really be marketed as a zoom phone um the zoom part comes from the software which I'll get into in a minute but that said we can still expect the is going to pull a lot of features and looks from the zoom HD I expect it to be very angular maybe not quite as you know all metallic and and you know basically like you know just a really mean wedge looking thing instead you know something nice and soft like an iPod Touch so I would kind of expect something maybe not quite so as aggressive looking but still something that looks pretty cool so you know I think Hardware wise the zoom phone looks pretty good but now we got to get into Windows mobile 7 so let's move move on to the software side which is arguably going to be bigger than just the zoom phone it's going to be Windows mobile 7 Windows mobile 7 really should be a pretty big step up from you know 6 6.5 all the previous um it's going to require a lot faster Hardware but it also should be a lot smoother and a lot lot nicer looking if you look at Windows mobile 6.5 pretty much any Windows mobile for it's really made for sty a stylus and you know that just really doesn't cut it for this day and time you know fingers I mean cap passive screens with your finger that's the way to go so all these small menus and all that kind of stuff I mean theyve tried to make it they tried to fix it earlier that's like putting a Band-Aid over it I mean that's not that's not going to cut it so I would expect it to be a very uh a lot more finger friendly and obviously it's going to look a lot better as well um I would expect that they would use some Zoom some stuff from the zoom HD the zoom HD has a really really nice looking interface so I would expect they would Port some not all but some of the really nice looking things like you know some of the cool Transitions and how the text is like you know layered and stuff that looks pretty cool so I would expect that they would bring some of that over um but probably one of the most significant things about Windows mobile 7 specifically for the zoom phone is going to be Zoom software um now if you've paid attention you know that the zoom theyve they of course when they first came out Zoom was the MP3 players and that was pretty much it but the MP3 players didn't do too well so they kind of mixed it up and right now only the only Zoom Hardware you can buy is the zoom HD they've gotten rid of all everything else instead they're trying to bring the zoom brand name over to more like software almost like in a competitor to iTunes um if you look they've already done this on the Xbox 360 with the zoom Marketplace which is where you buy music movies and TV shows and all that kind of stuff so they're going to bring over the whole thing to when Windows mobile 7 um so you're going to have a really nice uh music player I wouldn't doubt it'd be very very similar if not identical to actually the zoom HD as far as the music is concerned um you'll also be able to buy uh music and movies and TV shows just like on iTunes um as well as you would get the access to buying the zoom pass which for a certain amount of money per month you can download unlimited songs so between the zoom uh the zoom software and Windows mobile 7 hopefully this new Zoom phone can actually really step it up and get Windows mobile back to where it used to be okay so guys that is my wrap up of the zoom phone as well as Windows mobile 7 um you know put together the zoom phone looks like a pretty solid piece of Hardware the Nvidia Tegra chip is great Snapdragon is great and you know finally having capactive touchcreen is just going to finally just make Windows 7 Windows mobile 7 pretty good so on the hardware side of things it looks pretty solid on the software side it's a little harder to tell we don't know a whole lot of details but Windows mobile 7 could be pretty decent I mean they've it's taken them years and years to do it and I've got to expect that they've been doing something you know they've taken a look hey look this is an iPhone I think this looks pretty good let's try this on ours but we'll have to see um both the zoom phone and Windows mobile 7 should be announced at the world mobile Congress later this month so then we'll finally see if it's going to be worth it or not um but until then I got to say I'm kind of optimistic it looks both of them could be pretty decent and uh Hey about time Windows mobile stop sucking anyway guys thanks for watchinghey guys what is up it's Duncan and today I'm here with a video going over all the latest rumors we have on the zoom phone as well as Windows mobile 7 both should be
