**Repairing iPhone with Laser Glass Removal Tool**
Honesty did not turn out as nice as I thought it would, but better than my iPhone 10 and 10 s version but still nowhere near as clean as I thought so be careful when actually removing the glass not to rip the wireless coil so actually lasered one of these pieces of glass then I had to clean it up and polish it didn't turn out super bad but not something I'd actually like to rock on the daily. So that's what the iPhone 11 looks like and at this point is where we decide with v7000 glue whether we want to put the clear cover on it does dry clear or use the replacement with the larger lens cut out and that's of course going to look oh um.
The iPhone 11 Pro get that gauged pop it in its slot test the laser alright and it's off so it's a little fainter on the white and the mat does make a difference it will have to go through several times I believe to make up for the refraction I definitely noticed a difference in the mat it's a lot harder for the laser to get through so it does many passes and I'm hoping that it comes off as easily again when your back is broken it's going to be much more difficult to actually remove the glass this is the best-case scenario where there are no shards or cracks at all so it should be fairly easy.
And here is what you wish inside of your iPhone looked like this is what it actually looks like on the 11pro since it's not broken I can't get the glass up have to break it had to do it. Now we can get in there and makes the job a whole lot easier as a lot of adhesive was burned away but not all the mat actually makes it very very hard for this to work like on the 11 so it's gonna get a lot of work on your end actually even though a lot of the adhesive is coming away you can tell that it's not as effective as on a completely clear glass back and that's kind of what my question was at the beginning of this video is how much of a difference does the mat make and apparently quite a bit makes repairs much more difficult so around the lens is a lot more difficult.
This is gonna require additional work be very careful not to damage any components but it is the laser has a really hard time penetrating around here so it's gonna be a little bit of muscle so far so good want to run it again see what happens if it'll burn away any of the adhesive this way it's unobstructed oh yeah so it does peel it away a little bit better ah nice yeah that wasn't a bad idea okay so just finished up cleaning this one up it was considerably harder to do than the iPhone 11 just because the adhesive stuck to the body a lot more the map back made it very difficult so once you're at this point you want to take your replacement cover with the larger lens holes apply your glue in the same pattern which Apple had it so a little bit up here up here and then one all the way around the borders and you want to pop your replacement cover right over the lenses.
It's obviously not going to be as water as this as it was before and just like that your iPhone is whole again actually pretty simple with this back cover that goes over the lenses I'm liking and results now I'm gonna keep mine clear so I'm not gluing it but the clear actually looked pretty good I think it looks better than the iPhone 11 version even it's got this sheen to it and you actually keep your Apple logo with the matte finish pretty cool just don't look too closely but overall and result of the clear I liked it more on the iPhone 11 Pro but it's a unique look I guess definitely not what you'd want your iPhone to look like with the sticker but even the real one doesn't look too bad.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enit what's up guys everything out will prove here so I want to do my first mod video it's been a while in this video I want to show you how to get a clear back on your iPhone 11 or 11 Pro but mostly how to repair the glass back on Apple's latest iPhones using this machine so I originally purchased it back in July to do the glowing Apple logo never got around to it of course jerry-rigged everything did his video on the repair which was awesome I'd like to show you their updated process on the iPhone 11 and the 11 probe has a map back and I think it'd be really cool to see what they'd look like without any coloring on the glass and if you can find access to this machine anywhere it's very expensive you know to two and a half thousand dollars for the whole setup then this would be a piece of cake otherwise it's $600 repair for an iPhone 11 Pro max and it goes down from there but it's very very expensive so essentially this machine gauges the phone where it's at let's go ahead and power it on and use the laser go ahead and outline it they've actually updated it with files for the 11 Pro and 11 as you can see there's even more areas where the laser machine will not cut out because of sensitive components on the inside and I'd like to go through the process of replacing the back now of course before attempting this if you are a repair shop or you have access to one of these machines I would 100% recommend you get some glass with enlarged camera holes these actually just slide right on so that way you don't have to break the lens it's a very dirty process I've seen it on a different video you'd essentially clip the lens border away and have to replace it very very time-consuming but with one of these it makes that job much easier and they're about $20.00 all right so I think I'm gonna start with the iPhone 11 just in case and it's fully working just a little worried if anything goes wrong not to start with the 11pro let's load up the file and get to burnin away with the laser and usually this is something I do by hand all the scrubbing in the past so this makes your job much much easier and once we break this glass we'll replace it with this edge it again and see what we get we're gonna gauge the thickness to focus the laser here machine will raise and lower based on the height of the iPhone place it in this corner here and we've got the iPhone 11 diagram already loaded and I use the red light to go ahead and select all of the features and a little fainter harder to see here on the black but it will go ahead and avoid any of those dangerous contact points one two three oh oh I forgot to turn on the fume hood this creates a lot of vapors so as you can see begins to etch all of the paint off and the natural beauty is revealed on the inside of the so one area this machine struggles with is around the lens itself and we're gonna have to run it a couple times to ensure that it gets all the adhesive the lens area is very tricky and if you are using this machine this isn't really how you're going to be doing it usually the glass is all broken so it's gonna be refracting and it won't be as effective as this I'm honestly stunned at how good it looks already it's like a smoky glass really excited to see that final result but in a case that you do have a broken back you'd want to run it a couple times for whoever has this machine or is looking to purchase it I could see it being a very invaluable asset to any repair facility so now we're going around the lens and surprisingly still looking pretty good but it did burn away some of the lens is that because it's no it's on there it clipped a little bit of the lens interesting so it's doing a second run make sure it gets all the adhesive very surprised at how effective it is so far I mean compared to the last process where you'd have to physically scrape it or even liquid nitrogen it this is a walk in the park oh so it's actually burning some of the side - I feel like the diagram could be a little bit cleaner I don't really care about this phone but if it was for repairman and it's like all the way in there you know nowhere else to move it and a surprising thing is the iPhone stays cool the entire time so no risk of overheating the battery or anything it's a very efficient process Hey so it did essentially three passes and you can see where all the adhesive was get your tool in there and go ahead and pry the rest of the adhesive off remember we want this to break so when that happens in a second not a problem there we go see oh wow that is some resilient glass if it's not breaking that'll do it okay now we go around the lens pick away at the remaining glass but overall this made a extremely difficult job much simpler so this is a result all cleaned up honestly did not turn out as nice as I thought it would better than my iPhone 10 and 10 s version but still nowhere near as clean as I thought so be careful when actually removing the glass not to rip the wireless coil so actually lasered one of these pieces of glass then I had to clean it up and polish it didn't turn out super bad but not something I'd actually like with the larger lens cut out and that's of course going to look oh um and you can complete your repair just that easy seriously an awesome way to repair your iPhone much simpler much cheaper than Apple's of course once you invest in the machine but for repair shops it's an invaluable asset so next up the iPhone 11 Pro get that gauged pop it in its slot test the laser alright and it's off so it's a little fainter on the white and the mat does make a difference it will have to go through several times I believe to make up for the refraction I definitely noticed a difference in the mat it's glass this is the best-case scenario where there are no shards or cracks at all so it should be fairly easy and this one looks pretty cool Wow so even just like this that's a pretty neat effect it's like a stormtrooper iPhone although all of the sealing is compromised and the glue it does look pretty sweet now I've prepared a completely clear mat back I got to tell you this was not easy but I think this one's gonna look a lot better because it keeps the Apple logo that's just gloss and not an actual sticker on the back of paint so I super cool I like what we're seeing already this is what you wish inside of your iPhone looked like this is what it actually looks like on the 11pro since it's not broken I can't get the glass up have to break it had to do it there we go and now we can get
