My October Favorites: A ModCloth Haul and Favorite Things

I am so excited to share my October favorites with you all, including the latest additions from ModCloth that I have been obsessing over. First up, let's talk about the beautiful silky pleated floral maxi skirt that I recently purchased from ModCloth. It is just the most blattering thing in the entire world - hard to show you but I'll have a photo here because I have put this on my Instagram for a "shocker" moment. But trust me, it's just the most amazing dark floral pleated maxi skirt that goes amazingly with sweaters and everything. It will transition perfectly into spring with like t-shirts and is just one of the greatest pieces of clothing I've ever bought. The floral pattern is beautiful and it looks expensive - it makes me feel glamorous and I love it, I love it to the moon and back.

Now, let's move on to my favorite topics: music, TV shows, and movies. When it comes to music, I feel like I don't have any new recommendations to share with you guys because I've just been listening to the same albums over and over again - a few throwbacks like listening to The Decemberists and Bastille, who are always going to creep back up every four to five months. But yeah, still loving Troye Sivan and The 1975. I do have one new album to talk about, though - Khalid's new EP (I suppose more like an EP, since it's not a full-length album). I'm really loving it, and I love him so much that I've been listening to it nonstop.

Next up, let's talk TV shows. Some TV shows I should mention are Survivor: David vs Goliath - I'm really liking this season, think the cast is great, and sometimes I'm a little back and forth on whether I like the all-newbie cast, but I think this particular season is turning out really entertaining. I also enjoy character interactions. And then there's Love Island, which I love watching over the summer - it was premiering, so I hadn't seen any of the previous seasons yet (I'm a bit ashamed to admit that), but now I'm catching up on Season 3. It's just wild and entertaining reality TV, and I don't know why I love it as much as I do.

But my new reality television show addiction is actually 90 Day Fiancé - this is one of the most fascinating shows I've ever watched, and if you're not familiar with it, let me tell you what it's about. It's centered around the premise of two people falling in love abroad, with one being American, who gets the "K-1 visa" that allows them to come to America for 90 days to get married. If they don't get married in those 90 days, they have to go back to their home country - it's wild, and each season of the show covers them from beginning to end.

Another favorite TV show of mine is Friends, which has been such a fun time to watch with my friend Clay. We're almost done with Season 1 now, and it just feels nice to have the context of the entire season or storyline together - especially living in New York and being kind of their age initially. I've never seen Friends from beginning to end before, but it's aged really well - the humor is still very funny, although there are some impossibilities with their apartment that don't always hold up.

I also recently started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender (Airbender) with Clay - we're almost done with Book One. I've already seen Avatar: The Last Airbender myself, but rewatching it was lovely for me in preparation for the new live-action adaptation that's coming out soon (though I'm not sure when that will be). And finally, let's talk movies - unfortunately, I haven't been able to go to the movies lately because we just haven't been going. We've got a lot of movies on our list that we want to see, like Crazy Rich Asians and A Star is Born (although I don't think either of us have seen those yet...).

instagram but i love this sweater it's incredibly cozy and warm and just is soft it's not itchy in the slightest which is very important for knitwear next up is an incredible retro jumpsuit and it's this guy i love this plaid wide leg v-neck jumpsuit perfect to layer on top of turtleneck and or t-shirts if you live in a slightly warmer fall climate this is just so retro inspired and just 70s galore and i love it so much i also just think like wide like jumpsuits are really flattering for a pear-shaped body like i have and i'm gonna get so much wear out of this you don't even know next up is one of my favorite fall pieces that i cannot stop wearing and it are these berry color corduroy uh overalls and i love overalls more than most pieces of clothing and i just think this beautiful like eggplant brownie color is perfect for the fall i just think they look so good like even with this sweater like this is such a cute outfit i also love overalls because there's like this extra pocket in the front which i really think as a lady really the more pockets the merrier um but yeah i just corduroy overalls these are amazing look great with sweaters t-shirts the whole nine yards they're awesome next thing i picked up is this hilarious light knit it is a dinosaur knit which i thought was just so so so cute i also love the navy color with just like this little little patches of really bright pink mixed in with the gray i thinks will look lovely with jeans but will be perfect layering sweater with skirts and even like overalls for example uh i don't know i've been wanting a dinosaur sweater for a really long time but i think they're really hard to find or they're incredibly expensive not only is this an adorable dinosaur sweater it's also a very affordable dinosaur sweater and perfect for light layers and the fall so cute next up is the ultimate corduroy skirt this is a corduroy flared circle skirt which i love so much i think this berry color is just perfect it goes with so many neutrals i find like berry and mustard are almost like secondary neutrals at least for me so it just goes with so much i just have no trouble ever pairing this up with anything i also find the skirt to be really flattering because it cinches you in at the waist but flares out in a really nice a-line cut it's not too short which is also really important for me and it's really stinking cute next item is also a skirt and it is this really adorable plaid like pencil a-line skirt i love this pattern so much it's just tweety it's a really like hefty fabric like very high quality and i just love this tweed two pocket situation it's very retro and very mod and i love it so much this is the kind of thing i love to wear with like a graphic tee i it's just kind of like my go-to outfit i don't know next is the softest cardigan ever it is this multi-color chenille oversized cardigan i really love that it has kind of this chevron print to it and i think the color combination is definitely this fall pastel color scheme which i am very into but chanel is something that i hope never goes out of style because honestly i want my entire life to be made of chanel because it is just the softest material of all time like who invented this give them the nobel prize because this is just amazing and yeah it's like a perfect oversized length i love everything about this it's the it's just it's gonna keep me so cozy and so warm and the last item i got from modcloth might be my favorite just because it makes me feel so glamorous every time i wear it i also get an
