Unboxing the iPhone 4S: A Closer Look at Apple's Latest Device
Hello guys and welcome to this video! I hope you liked my musical intro, so please like my video for that and also favorite it. I decided to do it again because my iPad 3 video had such success that I said hey why not. So, yeah, I use the same music as the one in the iPad 3 video but of course with the iPhone 4S's videos.
The iPhone 4S was released in October of 2011, and I got this one in December. Although it's been almost a year of using it now, the iPhone 4S has three main improvements over the iPhone 4. The first one is Siri, which is basically a Voice Assistant. Then there's the camera, the back-facing camera which has been improved a lot. Finally, there's a speed improvement so the CPU and the GPU that's U the graphics Processing Unit have both been really improved from the last year's iPhone 4.
The main difference between the iPhone 4S's box and the iPhone 4's box is that the background on the iPhone 4S's box is white, and you can also see the antennas which also work for Wi-Fi, 3G, and GSM networks. On the bottom of the box, you get this cool shiny iCloud logo, which you only get because the iPhone 4S comes with iOS 5 installed. The right side has the iPhone 4S text, and on the top, you have a single Apple logo and on the right side, you have the same iPhone 4S text that you had on the left side.
Taking a closer look at the box, I can see that it's made of plastic and has a nice design to it. The box also includes all the necessary accessories like the charger, earbuds, and a USB cable. On the inside of the box, there's a manual and some instructional guides on how to use the iPhone 4S.
Now, let's take a closer look at the iPhone 4S itself. The first thing you notice is the amazing retina display, which I believe you can also see in the video how black the display is compared to the iPhone 3G and 3GS. You also get the home button on the front, which is a lot more clickable than the iPhone 3G and 3GS' home button.
On the left side of the iPhone, you'll find this stainless steel band that acts as the iPhone's antenna. This is really cool because with the iPhone 4, you used to get that grip, but not with the iPhone 4S. Also on the left side, you get your non-separated volume buttons and also the mute switch on the bottom. You'll find the speaker and a 30-pin dock connector on the bottom as well. On the right side, you have this clear C bezel and micro SIM slot.
Finally, on the top of the iPhone, you'll find the power button, secondary microphone, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Taking a closer look at the back of the iPhone, we have an improved camera which Apple is now calling Eyesight. The sensor has been upgraded from the 5 megapixel one found in the iPhone 4 to an 8 megapixel one. The iPhone 4S also uses completely new optics that Apple created a custom lens just for this device.
The lens uses five elements to shape incoming light and also has a larger aperture of 2.4, which lets more light in. This allows for better low-light performance and shallower depth of field. Also on the back, you get this cool shiny Apple logo and some text that says "iPhone" and it matches the color of the Apple logo.
Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you the capacity of your iPhone anymore, so you have to manually check that through iOS. Now, let's boot up the iPhone 4S and see how long it takes for it to start up. I show it in sequence because, well, it only takes about 10 seconds to boot in a video, but in reality, it takes about 20 to 30 seconds.
The first thing you'll notice when you turn on the iPhone 4S is that it's really fast and responsive. The screen comes alive with all the necessary icons and widgets. You can also see the clock, weather, and some other information at the top of the screen.
That's it for this video, guys! I hope you enjoyed watching it as much as I did making it. Please don't forget to favorite it, comment, and like this video if you liked it.
