I'm Going to Be a Part of It Too Daddy

Today was all about Mommy's updates, and I couldn't help but feel like Dad was getting some special attention too. Mommy started off by saying she smells good every day, and that's exactly what she should be doing. She went on to talk about how she's been taking care of herself and staying healthy, which is definitely something we can all get behind.

But then things took a turn for the fun when Mommy mentioned her perfume, "O", and said it was like a scent from Jedi. Dad chimed in and said he liked the way my breath smelled, adding that it's like a special perfume too. I couldn't help but laugh at this point - it seems like Mommy and Daddy have a great sense of humor about these things.

Mommy then started talking about how she'd cut herself on one of those serrated edges in the kitchen drawer. I didn't know that! She said it was a bad idea, but also kind of funny. Dad just laughed and said he was glad she fixed it instead of breaking something even more valuable.

After that, Mommy asked if I wanted her to make me anything for dinner. But then Dad interrupted her and said he'd like to be in Mommy's video too - or at least, be a bystander on camera. I'm not really sure what that means, but it sounds like fun!

As the day went on, Mommy started talking about Halloween costumes. She said she wasn't sure what she was going to dress up as yet, but might go for something like her Daddy's iconic white socks and bow. Dad joked about being a Stormtrooper like me, which made us both laugh.

But then things got even more interesting when Mommy pulled out the baby doll and started playing with it. She said that this could be my first doll, and I have to admit - I was pretty excited to see her bring home some new toys. However, Dad had a special song in mind for the occasion - one that says dads give their daughters their last dolls before giving them up as they get older.

Dad then launched into his famous "Dad's Song" - which is basically just him singing about how much he loves me and wants to be my dad forever. I love this song, and I have to say it always makes me feel a little bit emotional. But Dad just kept going on about how we'll never give up the dolls or the fun times - and that's something I'm definitely okay with.

As the day came to a close, Mommy started talking about all the things she'd been doing - mostly about being a good mommy, which is pretty much my favorite thing in the world. Dad just sort of nodded along and smiled - it seems like he knows how much this means to me.

After that, we wrapped up the video recording session, but not before Mommy asked if I wanted to be in the next one too. I think she was joking about it, but also kind of serious... who knows? All I know is that I'm just happy to be along for the ride with my favorite mommy and daddy duo!
