The Best Wines for Hot and Cold Weather Part 1

A Wine Tasting Experience with Unique Flavors and Blends

The evening's wine tasting began with a delightful surprise - a Rose that had arrived late, which was actually a good thing in this case. This delay meant that there was still an ample supply of wine left, ensuring that our guests could indulge in its crisp and refreshing taste. The Rose A is a stunning pale color, reminiscent of the beautiful city of Beatriz Santa Fe, with a bouquet bursting with flavors of strawberries and fruit.

As we sipped on this delightful wine, it became clear why it's also suitable for pairing with fish dishes, as it possesses a nice balance of acidity and sweetness. The wine's depth is due in part to its blend of different grapes from the Côtes du Rhône Valley, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. This unique combination results in a wine that is both crisp and rich, making it an excellent choice for those looking to add some complexity to their meal.

Next up was the Tavor Zohar from Israel, a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Russa, and French oak. This wine is truly one-of-a-kind, with no other similar blend in the market. The crispness of the Sauvignon Blanc pairs perfectly with the thickness provided by the Chardonnay, while the Russa adds a touch of greenness to the mix. When we asked about the name "Zohar," it was revealed that it means "shining" in Hebrew, possibly referring to the wine's radiant color.

Moving on, we had the opportunity to taste the Sands of Varda from the Rhone Valley. This wine, made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache, boasts a rich nose with aromas of honeysuckle. Its complexity makes it an excellent match for richer flavors, such as those found in stuffed veal roulade or other fatty dishes. The Tavor Zohar also demonstrated its suitability for pairing with these types of meals.

Finally, we turned our attention to the Tabar wine from Israel, known for its exceptional quality and value ratio (QPR). This 2016 vintage retails between $20-$25, making it an impressive deal considering its flavor profile. When asked about the aging process, it was noted that this wine may have spent some time in oak barrels, which contributes to its rich texture.

Throughout our tasting experience, it became clear that each of these wines offers something unique and delicious. Whether you're looking for a crisp Rose or a rich, complex blend, there's sure to be a wine on the list that suits your taste preferences. So why not give one of these incredible wines a try? With their quality and value ratio, they're definitely worth the investment.
