**Fitness App Overhaul**
The fitness app has undergone significant changes with the release of iOS 14 and Apple Watch OS 7. The app, formerly known as Activity, now displays all your activities, including workout data, on both iPhone and Apple Watch. On iPhone, the app's layout has been simplified, with most features now available in a single summary tab at the beginning of the app.
The app's home screen now features five tabs across the bottom: History, Trans, Workouts, Trends, and Sharing. While many features have been consolidated into this single summary tab, some functionality remains intact, such as the ability to view recent workouts or tap "Show More" for a detailed breakdown of workout data. The Sharing feature has also undergone changes, with a new icon that can be used to message competitors and add additional people to share with.
**Apple Watch Fitness Features**
The Apple Watch has also seen significant updates in its fitness features. One notable change is the introduction of giant watch faces, which allow for easy customization and display of single complications, such as activity data. The Activity app on Apple Watch now features a weekly summary and goal changes at the bottom of the screen, replacing the traditional force touch menu.
The workouts feature has been expanded to include new options, including "Cool-Down", "Dance", and "Functional Strength Training". Dance was a challenging feature for Apple to nail down, but the company has finally created an accurate model that can detect popular dance styles such as Bollywood, Latin, hip-hop, and cardio dancing. The app also now includes a social dancing option, which is separate from regular fitness workouts.
**Changes and Updates**
Throughout the updates, Apple has made efforts to simplify the user interface while still providing access to key features. One notable change is the removal of force touch functionality on Apple Watch, which was replaced by a repositioned button at the bottom of the screen. The Awards feature has also been modified, with competitors now being able to view and share their progress.
**Widget Integration**
On iPhone, a fitness activity widget has been added, providing users with a quick glance into their daily activity data. This widget is available in small, medium, or large sizes, offering users flexibility in terms of customization. The Apple Watch also features a new watch face design that incorporates the Activity app, providing a clean and easy-to-use interface for tracking fitness data.
**Conclusion**
The updates to the fitness app and Apple Watch have brought significant improvements to the user experience. With a focus on simplicity and ease of use, these changes aim to provide users with an intuitive way to track their fitness goals and monitor their progress. Whether on iPhone or Apple Watch, the new features and updates offer exciting possibilities for users looking to improve their health and wellness.

sharing most of this has just been moved into one summary tab at the beginning sharing is still its own tab but paid into the top right hand corner because those icons are getting a little bit of a change here in iOS 14 so here you can see our summary view we can see all of our goals as well as our progress towards those goals right here at the top below that are our workouts you can view your most recent ones or tap show more to you all of your workouts that you've done below that our trends these are pretty much the same if you tap in to show more it does give you more of a breakdown on all of those before it can tell you which ones need more information and that's still the case here as well then of course we have awards at the bottom you can tap on see all or see more to view all of the awards you can see your recent ones here at the top broken down competitions below that and special circumstance Awards but limited edition Awards below that one really all the information is everything looks pretty familiar to biggest difference is down at the bottom there's a weekly summary and change and move goal that's because forced touches going away on Apple watch and you used to access those by force touching on the watch face it's really just been repositioned to the bottom instead of in that force touch menu then of course we are sharing in our awards the same as it was on prior versions of watch OS one interesting thing is while it is called Fitness over on your iPhone with iOS 14 it is still called activity here on the Apple watch it's really just displaying all your we'll have a new option for core training core training his new here in watch OS 7 now dance was really hard for Apple to nail down with the Apple watch unlike other workouts dance is not at all repetitive there's not with those repetitive motions so it took a lot of work for them to create that accurate model for dancing and it's able to detect popular style of dance including Bollywood Latin hip-hop and even cardio dancing there are differences though there is still an option for social dancing as you can see here under the S category versus regular dance which is more for fitness purposes so depending on what you're doing whether you want to do social dancing or fitness dancing there are different ones that are gonna be more accurate and representing the number of calories that they are burning during that workout we're using more changes in the past when it comes to workouts activities and fitness when it comes to Apple watch but this year we're still seeing a lot of
