Our Weekend Adventure Begins

We started our weekend with a visit to the Ice Bar, where we were excited to experience the unique atmosphere and take some cool photos. However, as it turned out, the bar was not as cold as we expected, especially when compared to the outside temperature of 29 degrees Fahrenheit. We were all bundled up in our warmest coats, hats, gloves, and scarves, but it still felt too chilly to be comfortable. The Ice Bar itself was a beautiful spot with a lovely courtyard and flowers, making for some great photos.

Despite the cold, we made the most of our visit to the Ice Bar and enjoyed our time there. We were all excited to move on to our next adventure, which involved ice skating later that day. However, things didn't quite go as planned, and we ended up taking a "defrost break" to warm up. It turned out that one of us wasn't prepared for the cold weather, having only worn a single layer of clothing - a sweatshirt - and was feeling completely numb.

After regrouping and getting our priorities straight, we moved on to other activities on our list. We bought movie tickets for tonight, but unfortunately, they were for next Tuesday instead of today. We decided to change the plans and head to the theater after all, just in case something unexpected came up. Our visit to the theater was a quick one, as we had to adjust our plans due to the mix-up with the ticket confirmation.

Feeling a bit deflated from the mistake, we decided to take some time to relax and figure out what the rest of the week had in store for us. We planned to meet up at dinner and then head to glow-in-the-dark mini golf, which sounded like a fun way to spend the evening. As we made our way to dinner, we were struck by how beautiful the city looked at night - the twinkling lights from the businesses and homes created a magical atmosphere that was almost too much to take in.

Our next stop was the Adam Tower, where we planned to go for a swing over the edge of the building. As we reached the top, we couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation - we were about to face our fears and take on this thrilling adventure together. The view from the top was breathtaking, with a stunning panorama of the city below. We took some time to appreciate the history of the tower and learn more about its unique features.

Finally, it was time for us to face our fears and take on the swing. As we approached the edge of the platform, our hearts began to pound - one of us couldn't even bring themselves to walk near the edge. But with some encouragement from the others, we managed to muster up the courage to give it a try. To our surprise, it wasn't as scary as we thought it would be, and we ended up having an incredible time soaring through the air and taking in the stunning views below.

make travel DIY and Lysol videos today we are kicking off the Vlog in Amsterdam Netherlands so um if you guys remember my last video we were in Munich and I let you know that we were traveling to Frankfurt Germany we did go there and I didn't Vlog at all basically we got there and it was incredibly dirty and Incredibly um a better word um ghetto all the streets were there was just trash everywhere a lot of um poverty but in the way of like like I'm trying to find a very nice way to say this but a lot of people that looked like they were on things and aggressive angry um even just trying to leave the train station and walk to our hotel we had people approaching us telling us to give them our belongings and um it was just it it was not good we ended up taking um a taxi for the rest of the way to our hotel because we were both so uncomfortable um the taxi driver at the end of our ride we saw the little Fair um counter and how much we owed them when we got there he immediately turned it off and tried to tell us that we owed him almost double the amount that it actually was when we called him out and informed him that we had seen how much the meter was um he proceeded to get incredibly upset with us um it was yeah it was very very uncomfortable all the way around so we ended up staying in the hotel the entire time we just rested up for our trip to Amsterdam so we just watched Netflix caught up on sleep ordered room service and we did not go out at all um I was very unfortunate because I was really looking forward to seeing Frankfurt however um Owen like vandalism everywhere it was just I don't know if the city is experiencing something right now because we looked up even photos while we were there and we're like I don't understand this is not what we saw and we looked at photos of the same area and it looked clean beautiful well groomed and that was just not at all our experience and I don't know what was going on but it felt incredibly unsafe especially the part where people were coming up to us and trying to like like give me that give me your belongings and um no why not why won't you give it to me and they had like a group of people yeah so um yeah anywho I don't need to go any further I'm sure you guys understand why we felt very unsafe there so we were going to be staying there I think two days we ended up deciding to only stay one day we were then going to go to Belgium um however our luggage we have two large suitcases each they we've been buying things so now at this point they are each 65 to 70 pounds each it feels like at least and it has been very difficult to navigate with them and it's just been very frustrating so we ended up deciding you know what forget it um we're just going straight to Amsterdam and we are going to spend our last full week in Amsterdam so he is he is stoked so you guys um I'm sorry I'm not going to be bringing you along for a Belgium trip we will eventually be going to Belgium probably during the spring because one of the other issues was the fact that coming during summer or coming during winter um winter clothes are very bulky which it also has a lot to do with wire suitcases are so big we have boots we have like a bunch of coats and everything so uh anywho I although I have truly enjoyed um Europe in the winter I do believe we're probably going to stick to just like summer and spring moving forward and we're gonna pack a lot lighter but anywho that is a bit of a catch-up as to why on Earth we are now in Amsterdam when there were supposed to be a few other cities in between so that's what's going on if you guys are wondering where those cities are you did not miss those Vlogs our plans completely changed so anywho we are now in Amsterdam it looks incredible beautiful a lot cleaner a lot less Hood than what we were working with in Frankfurt and also just be clear Munich was incredibly Clean safe feeling and just I would I wish we stayed we stayed longer in Munich so if you are planning on going to Germany I hope that this does not discourage you cologne looked beautiful and Munich was incredible so this hotel it's called Hotel the grand Amsterdam I'm standing directly in front of little TV that shows it because unfortunately at night this is the best lighting lit by the TV so that's what I'm recording right here but this building has so much history to it so this building at one point um was a Convent and then after that it served as the city hall so when Napoleon came to the Netherlands or to Amsterdam he took over the city hall as a personal residence with his brother and so they had to move the city hall and it moved here so this served as the city hall and they have a lot of The Originals such as original art original floor original chandeliers and there's just so much history here um also at some point it also served as some kind of military base where they would send out expeditions to um I guess like the new world and so during that time the type of room that we are staying in now used to be the apartments for the Admirals and their families legitimately this is a full-on apartment and I'm gonna go ahead and show you but first if you haven't already don't forget subscribe below because there's a big thumbs up let's get into it so here's the front door right when you walk in you have a closet right here you can put your shoes and then a closet right here an extra pillow you can put your coat ironing board and an umbrella and then we turn to our left walk right in first off we've got a mirror hey what's Poppin and then right here immediately to our right we have a half bath but it is incredibly spacious so we've bought the toilet cute little sink another mirror and then we continue on so we have almost like a little foyer area and then we're going to continue into the living room behind us we have the bedroom and again this is where we just came through from the uh the entrance so walking in here to our right we have a little dining area and then we have coffee maker down there we have a mini fridge I can show you guys so we've got a little Nespresso machine here and then we've got some beer some water um oh some chocolate that's interesting oh actually see this comes out oh that's cool a little surface oh snacks wine snacks wine hard alcohol okay and then in this one okay just some cabinet space and then we have a desk over here and we have a beautiful view of the canal the Sun is setting so let me try to show you guys real quick it's just a little canal and some buildings across the way we have our little living room so we have our TV big nice couch and a coffee table and then a little library and seating area and then we're going to go over here to the master so we have our TV chair let's see if I can show you guys a little view so it just opens to a little Courtyard situation down there can't really see it because we're on the third floor and then here is our beautiful bedroom and I do love like the paneling on the ceiling or the details over here we have a little closet area so we have our ropes we have some windows for beautiful natural light and then a bit more storage and then oh it looks like this does this come now no it doesn't Okay and then over here is the master bathroom the master bathroom prepare to be amazed so first you walk in this gorgeous gorgeous tub and then we have this beautiful huge shower and then we have two different uh sinks right here and then it does look like oh these pull out okay so you have little stools as well and then I believe these May potentially be yes I see Plumbing down there or some sort of like tubing yes okay I see a knob so these are towel warmers that way your towels are nice and cool but I do love that there's a little towel wrap right here so when you're taking a bath you have everything right there that is incredible and then oh and we have a rain shower head and a regular shower head so no matter what you like or I guess that one's more of like the handle so if you want to like do on your uh your hair like handhelds there we go and then doing my best of course another mirror but how incredible is this you guys so once again this used to be the apartment for the um the Admirals and their families let's see what we'll go to this here this mirror seems to have fairly decent okay button is coming straight move up so this is our room absolutely love it it is incredible beautiful and I'm just so thankful to be here I'm also very excited to be able to unpack and stay in one place for a week this is almost like our like a whole separate vacation it feels like because we're not like moving around so our tour of Europe is over now we're just gonna have wool um Netherlands vacation and I'm very excited about it so we have a dinner reservation in about 20 minutes so I'm going to go ahead and I think I'm gonna change a little bit um for some reason these jeans seem to be getting like uber stretched out like not in a cute way so I think I'm gonna change my bands because it looks like they're too big finish eating dinner now I'm walking around the streets look how beautiful this is okay we are slowly making our way back to the hotel they have all of the trams going through here so I'm just going to cross the canal here actually let's let's go look at this it's just incredible I cannot believe that we are here oh my gosh look the reflection of the lights in the water it's only like 8 P.M but it's incredibly dark and cozy and magical feeling so again making our way to the hotel but to not be in the Christian Spirit you know this place just like illuminates Chris's Spirit Christmas spirit and so many of the local bars and businesses they have these Heineken signs outside because of course heineken's from here so that's really cool can't wait to have a Heineken here I haven't just yet I just had some wine but you best believe that sucks on my list you guys I have to share with you this View oh my gosh wow wow okay so continuing on our way to the hotel again small little alley we're not alley but Street they have small alleys and the small alleys are about a third of the size but so cool kind of like New York they have different homes and such down like a little staircase below those seem like they're probably majorly in risk of flooding if these canals ever flood also the amount of bikes in this city is crazy we're coming in from the bikes or from the train station there were thousands of bikes like three or three deck layers of bikes just blocks and blocks it was crazy this is definitely a huge bike area top of the morning it's the next day we are getting ready to go out and explore we're gonna hit this um this restaurant I had found online before we came called the avocado show I thought it was the avocado shop um but no apparently it's the avocado show so we're gonna go there looks like they have really beautiful um like breakfast um like avocado toasts and other little like breakfast things and stuff so yeah we're gonna head there and then figure out what we're doing today so um I just feel really bulky today I didn't want to wear one of my like really bulky like jackets and stuff because also I only brought three of them and I feel like I've been wearing the same thing every day so today I'm wearing this Burton coat that I got when we were at that wedding in Santa Monica and then my North Face standard jacket that I wear pretty frequently and then a Nike sweatshirt however this um Burton coat I think it's supposed to be like a middle well no I know it's supposed to be a mid layer it's not necessarily supposed to be a top layer so I got it in a size small because that's my size however wearing another jacket and sweatshirt under it um I would say I have limited range of motion it's somewhat uncomfortable but you know at least I feel like I'm wearing something different which feels nice sticking with the same blast but then them yeah sticking with the same basic black um beanie and then I haven't worn these yet on the trip but these are those Timberland snow boots that I had purchased I pretty much other than my tall black boots which I have worn very frequently all the shoes I brought were snow boots so we're wearing snow boots that's that there's no snow here but it is cold and so at least they're like well insulated you know so anywho that's the plan good morning and let's get going actually it's a few seconds later and I'm back um there are signs all over the city that say like beware of pickpockets be careful pickpockets pickpockets pickpockets um I don't know how like common that is that there are signs everywhere but I was like okay message received so I'm not bringing my purse um my jacket uh The North Face one has like zipper Pockets so I'm putting things in my zipper pockets and then the Burton jacket on top has like buttons to just like one button to close it so I'm putting um just like my lipstick and stuff in that one um you know if I do get pickpocketed like I'd rather lose my lipstick than like our credit cards and stuff you know so um I'm carrying everything on me which also definitely adds to the bulk because I have like my phone my camera all the money the love lock my lipstick chapstick you know I'm basically carrying everything on my body instead of in a purse so um anywho uh I'll let you know what this pickpocket situation is I mean hopefully I personally do not get pickpocketed but like see if I see like sketchy things going on because it seems interesting I mean I heard that about France also when we had no issues um but I've never been somewhere where they actually have signs warning about it um well I guess I guess in San Francisco if you go to like certain stadiums or certain areas they have signs like like sports games and stuff and like beware watch your belongings pickpockets thieves things like that so I don't know maybe it's a common thing maybe they're just really trying to make sure it doesn't become a problem you know I don't know okay so the street we were walking on are walking down just opened up to this big beautiful Plaza and they have tons of streets with just lights all the way down them it's very beautiful also there are Heineken signs literally everywhere literally everywhere oh here's a little Irish pub and of course above over there another Heineken sign everything is fine to get around here in fact it's 10 a.m and we just saw some dude crush a Heineken and like throw the can in the trash it was like oh we can start early okay okay sounds good okay so I did not have coffee this morning and we're still waiting for our breakfast reservation so I'm going to the Homeland into Starbucks I go so in Netherlands the Starbucks have a bunch of donuts so here is a sugar donut and then bunch of other different Donuts down here they also have cheesecake and cake and then little coffee cakes more brownies and then they also have cinnamon rolls which look and smell amazing and then these are a little croissant sandwiches and then they have little stacks of pancakes and muffins so the avocado show was it was very good the food was very good but it took an hour to get the food and they weren't even that busy it was very confusing like for example we were told that it'd be about an hour hour 15 wait for us to get a table our table is ready in 15 minutes they had a decent amount of tables in there um and yeah it was good and I wish that I would eat the food again but I just know that I'm not willing to go there again because an hour wait for the food is wild like we ordered two items so and one of them was fries so yeah um that was a bit of a bummer but that's okay so we're now off to the Ice Bar and then we're gonna go ice skating later today and we're figuring out a few other things but we're gonna have a fun we're gonna have a fun week and I'm really excited and I'll be of course bringing you guys along so see you with Ice Bar foreign so Darren just noticed this super cute little spot right here Margarita Mexican how cute is that beautiful Courtyard with some flowers so cute and then if you want to do a Canal cruise they have little ticket booths right here so here's one here's two and they have them all along the canal it is three o'clock it's 29 degrees and it is freezing I don't know why like sermon it was like 12 13 degrees but for some reason here it feels colder I can't explain to you why but like I have the Hat I have the same hat the same gloves the same scarf like the same coats and like it's just not it's not doing it so um we came back and we're taking a defrost Break um Darren only wore a sweatshirt and like a single like sweater over it and it was not enough he's like completely numb and so we're like okay we need we need to like regroup because we don't even know what we're doing we bought movie tickets for tonight in this like beautiful historical theater and I was like really excited about it and then I got the ticket confirmation and it was for next Tuesday not today and I was like so we walked to the theater because it's only like six minutes from where we were because at the time we were at the Ice Bar and the Ice Bar was it was very it was cool but um it felt like we were paying to be at a bar outside because it was also freezing um you know that was uh we went in and it was just like very very I mean it's an ice bar but it's different it's different when you go and it's not that cold outside and it's an actual difference but we went in there it felt like we were just standing outside and so we made the most of it and you know made for cool pictures and stuff but it was it was just it was too cold it was hitting too close at home you know what I mean um and so uh anywho so from there we were like six minutes from the theater so we went to the theater change our movie tickets so now we're gonna go tomorrow today we might just hang out here just relax and figure out what the heck we're doing for the rest of the week because we have a list of things to do but we haven't figured out when we're doing anything so so we're just here to regroup and defrost I need a beverage to be on because I to warm up from the inside out you know so what's the plan see you in a bit all right we are with little lights and it's beautiful all right we made it to the Adam Tower for the lookout I'm so excited we're going to be doing the swing so on a scale we are very very very high up nope nope I will not be sitting on the edge of anything although I apparently am going to be swinging off the edge so there's that oh my goodness oh this is really cool so it's a bunch of history of the Tower this type of little Tower looks like and there on the edge our tiny replica of the swings that we are about to go on that swing over the edge of the building okay so we just made it to the roof oh my gonna go there looks like they have really beautiful um like breakfast um like avocado toasts and other little like breakfast things and stuff so yeah we're gonna head there and then figure out what we're doing today so um I just feel really bulky today I didn't want to wear one of my like really bulky like jackets and stuff because also I only brought three of them and I feel like I've been wearing the same thing every day so today I'm wearing this Burton coat that I got when we were at that wedding in Santa Monica and then my North Face standard jacket that I wear pretty frequently and then a Nike sweatshirt however this um Burton coat I think it's supposed to be like a middle well no I know it's supposed to be a mid layer it's not necessarily supposed to be a top layer so I got it in a size small because that's my size however wearing another jacket and sweatshirt under it um I would say I have limited range of motion it's somewhat uncomfortable but you know at least I feel like I'm wearing something different which feels nice sticking with the same blast but then them yeah sticking with the same basic black um beanie and then I haven't worn these yet on the trip but these are those Timberland snow boots that I had purchased I pretty much other than my tall black boots which I have worn very frequently all the shoes I brought were snow boots so we're wearing snow boots that's that there's no snow here but it is cold and so at least they're like well insulated you know so anywho that's the plan good morning and let's get going actually it's a few seconds later and I'm back um there are signs all over the city that say like beware of pickpockets be careful pickpockets pickpockets pickpockets um I don't know how like common that is that there are signs everywhere but I was like okay message received so I'm not bringing my purse um my jacket uh The North Face one has like zipper Pockets so I'm putting things in my zipper pockets and then the Burton jacket on top has like buttons to just like one button to close it so I'm putting um just like my lipstick and stuff in that one um you know if I do get pickpocketed like I'd rather lose my lipstick than like our credit cards and stuff you know so um I'm carrying everything on me which also definitely adds to the bulk because I have like my phone my camera all the money the love lock my lipstick chapstick you know I'm basically carrying everything on my body instead of in a purse so um anywho uh I'll let you know what this pickpocket situation is I mean hopefully I personally do not get pickpocketed but like see if I see like sketchy things going on because it seems interesting I mean I heard that about France also when we had no issues um but I've never been somewhere where they actually have signs warning about it um well I guess I guess in San Francisco if you go to like certain stadiums or certain areas they have signs like like sports games and stuff and like beware watch your belongings pickpockets thieves things like that so I don't know maybe it's a common thing maybe they're just really trying to make sure it doesn't become a problem you know I don't know okay so the street we were walking on are walking down just opened up to this big beautiful Plaza and they have tons of streets with just lights all the way down them it's very beautiful also there are Heineken signs literally everywhere literally everywhere oh here's a little Irish pub and of course above over there another Heineken sign everything is fine to get around here in fact it's 10 a.m and we just saw some dude crush a Heineken and like throw the can in the trash it was like oh we can start early okay okay sounds good okay so I did not have coffee this morning and we're still waiting for our breakfast reservation so I'm going to the Homeland into Starbucks I go so in Netherlands the Starbucks have a bunch of donuts so here is a sugar donut and then bunch of other different Donuts down here they also have cheesecake and cake and then little coffee cakes more brownies and then they also have cinnamon rolls which look and smell amazing and then these are a little croissant sandwiches and then they have little stacks of pancakes and muffins so the avocado show was it was very good the food was very good but it took an hour to get the food and they weren't even that busy it was very confusing like for example we were told that it'd be about an hour hour 15 wait for us to get a table our table is ready in 15 minutes they had a decent amount of tables in there um and yeah it was good and I wish that I would eat the food again but I just know that I'm not willing to go there again because an hour wait for the food is wild like we ordered two items so and one of them was fries so yeah um that was a bit of a bummer but that's okay so we're now off to the Ice Bar and then we're gonna go ice skating later today and we're figuring out a few other things but we're gonna have a fun we're gonna have a fun week and I'm really excited and I'll be of course bringing you guys along so see you with Ice Bar foreign so Darren just noticed this super cute little spot right here Margarita Mexican how cute is that beautiful Courtyard with some flowers so cute and then if you want to do a Canal cruise they have little ticket booths right here so here's one here's two and they have them all along the canal it is three o'clock it's 29 degrees and it is freezing I don't know why like sermon it was like 12 13 degrees but for some reason here it feels colder I can't explain to you why but like I have the Hat I have the same hat the same gloves the same scarf like the same coats and like it's just not it's not doing it so um we came back and we're taking a defrost Break um Darren only wore a sweatshirt and like a single like sweater over it and it was not enough he's like completely numb and so we're like okay we need we need to like regroup because we don't even know what we're doing we bought movie tickets for tonight in this like beautiful historical theater and I was like really excited about it and then I got the ticket confirmation and it was for next Tuesday not today and I was like so we walked to the theater because it's only like six minutes from where we were because at the time we were at the Ice Bar and the Ice Bar was it was very it was cool but um it felt like we were paying to be at a bar outside because it was also freezing um you know that was uh we went in and it was just like very very I mean it's an ice bar but it's different it's different when you go and it's not that cold outside and it's an actual difference but we went in there it felt like we were just standing outside and so we made the most of it and you know made for cool pictures and stuff but it was it was just it was too cold it was hitting too close at home you know what I mean um and so uh anywho so from there we were like six minutes from the theater so we went to the theater change our movie tickets so now we're gonna go tomorrow today we might just hang out here just relax and figure out what the heck we're doing for the rest of the week because we have a list of things to do but we haven't figured out when we're doing anything so so we're just here to regroup and defrost I need a beverage to be on because I to warm up from the inside out you know so what's the plan see you in a bit all right we are ready so cool like six more layers on I can barely turn but you guys we're gonna be warm so we found a dinner place and then we're going to go globaling and um glow uh mini golf thing for the golfing there we go maybe something after yes maybe something after now that we are now that's not not okay let's go okay we are on our way to dinner it's 5 15. of course the sun has already set looks like night time around here I've almost gotten run over by bikes I'd say once every five to six minutes not averaging well how beautiful the city is at night just a bunch of businesses and little homes with little lights and it's beautiful all right we made it to the Adam Tower for the lookout I'm so excited we're going to be doing the swing so on a scale we are very very very high up nope nope I will not be sitting on the edge of anything although I apparently am going to be swinging off the edge so there's that oh my goodness oh this is really cool so it's a bunch of history of the Tower this type of little Tower looks like and there on the edge our tiny replica of the swings that we are about to go on that swing over the edge of the building okay so we just made it to the roof oh my gosh oh my God we are at the top can't wait to go find the swing oh here it is oh here it is oh my God thank you guys I we need out well we bought we bought the tickets I really thought I was going to be alone I can't even I can't even walk to the edge it's okay that's what happened if you don't want to do something you're comfortable with like I'm not comfortable so we're gonna get a drink see if I can gather up some courage but I don't have a whole lot of faith I'm just joking totally talk to me baby\n"
