Apple has Released iOS 4.3.5: A Minor Security Fix and No Other Changes

Apple has recently released iOS 4.3.5, which brings only one significant change - a minor security flaw has been fixed. This update is not worth installing if you're currently running on an earlier firmware version, as nothing else has been changed or added.

For those who have updated to iOS 4.3.5, we'll be showing you how to jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch fourth and third gens, and the original iPad all on this latest firmware. Please note that this is a tethered jailbreak, which means that if your battery dies or you need to restart your device, you will need a computer to reboot your device successfully, or else it will be stuck on the Apple logo.

To begin, ensure that your device is plugged in and on your desktop. You'll also need two things: the 4.3.4 official firmware (not 4.3.5), and Red Snow 0.9.8 beta 4. These links can be found in the description below, as well as a written guide.

If you're having any trouble during this jailbreak, make sure to read the guide, as it will tell you how to fix those errors. Now, go ahead and right-click on Red Snow if you're on Windows, then run as administrator. Next, browse for your 4.3.4 firmware and click next. It will patch the kernel for a second, so we'll keep everything as it is and not check anything else. You don't have to turn off your device to put it into DFU mode, but for the sake of this video, I'll power it down.

Now, hold the power button for three two one together with the home button for ten nine eight seven six five four three two one. Let go of the power button and keep holding the home button once Red Snow recognizes your device. You don't have to keep holding the home button; you can just let go. Now it's going to jailbreak, and I'll be back once it's done.

Once your device reboots, go ahead and slide to unlock, and you will have Cydia on your springboard. It might be white, which is perfectly normal, but if you click on it, it will crash. What I'm about to show you is what you'll have to do every single time your battery dies or you need to reboot your device.

To start, go into Red Snow and browse for your firmware again. This time, we're going to select just "boot tethered right now." Okay, here we are, just blue tether. Click next, put your device into DFU mode, which means holding power and home together till the screen goes black, then let go of the power button and keep holding the home button.

Once Red Snow recognizes your device, you don't have to keep holding the home button; you can just let go. Now it's going to jailbreak, and I'll be back once it's done. Once your device reboots, slide to unlock, and you guys will now have a full-colored Cydia on your springboard. Just remember that this is a tethered jailbreak.
