# Final Farewell: A Moving Video of Unboxing, Nostalgia, and New Beginnings
Hello everyone! This might be my last video recorded in my current apartment and setup because everything is currently in disarray. The apartment is a mess right now—it’s just part of a table we had, but you’ll see what I mean as this video progresses. This is going to be a combination video: an unboxing/haul video and a channel update. If you’re interested in tech education, gaming nostalgia, or random content that won’t put you to sleep, make sure to subscribe, turn on notifications, and stay tuned for the next guide!

## Moving Chaos: A Week Before the Move
This video is being recorded about a week before you’ll see it, and I’m currently in the middle of my workweek. It’s great that we decided to move *now* instead of waiting because my fiancée has to start working soon. While I work from home, this situation still presents its own set of challenges as we prepare for the move.
One issue that’s been plaguing us is a recurring water problem in our apartment. There’s a hallway closet that houses the vent and drain for all the water in our apartment, along with the water heater and AC unit. A few months after moving in, we noticed a strange problem: when we drained too much water from the sink (like filling up the tub and letting it drain), it would bubble up in the hallway drain and spit out into the hallway. It was a minor inconvenience at first, but it quickly became frustrating.
The maintenance team responded by pouring sulfuric acid (essentially industrial Drano) down the drain—a shady and ineffective solution. After we snaked the drain ourselves, the problem stopped for a few months. However, this winter, it started again, and last week, it happened once more—this time with devastating consequences.
While doing dishes one evening, I noticed water pooling in the hallway closet. It seeped through the wall into the kitchen, covering the entire space, and eventually made its way down the hallway to our front door. For the first time, the water spilled into the living room, saturating the carpet and getting the back of the couch wet.
The maintenance team informed us that the only way to fix this would require tearing out a bunch of piping and potentially jackhammering through the living room—a solution that’s not feasible for us right now.

## Moving to a Bigger Apartment: Goodbye Chaos, Hello New Beginnings
The good news? We’re moving to a bigger apartment! While this is great in the long run, it’s incredibly stressful in the short term. I wanted to provide this channel update to let you know why I might be absent on social media or comments and why the content might seem a bit weird for a while.

## Unboxing a VHS Box: A Throwback Surprise
Speaking of nostalgia, I recently ordered a VHS box—not sponsored, by the way. The company didn’t send me anything; they don’t even know who I am. I saw some Instagram influencers posting about their subscriptions, and since I haven’t purchased one in years (the trend seemed dead to me), I decided to give it a try.
The subscription cost a little under $23 for both the “to tape box” and the “anime box.” It seems like a small operation without fancy packaging, but it’s a neat concept for VHS enthusiasts like myself. While this isn’t directly tech-related, it aligns with the retro theme of my channel and personal interests.
Inside the box, we have bags of popcorn—presumably so you can enjoy movie night while snacking. Let’s dive into what was included in each box:
### The Anime Box
- **Ninja Resurrection:** Sounds like a thrilling action film.
- **Rumiko Takahashi’s Charlotte:** This one looks similar to the *Inuyasha* style of anime characters. I’m curious to check it out!
### The To Tape Box
- **Spoiler: The Most Exciting Breakout Movie of All Time (Hollywood Video):** A classic VHS rental vibe, complete with shrink wrap.
- **Roger Mason/Mason Gary Daniels in *The Escape Route:*** Sounds like a pulse-pounding thriller about an innocent man sent to a penal colony who escapes and becomes a fugitive.
- **Casino (Parts 1 & 2):** A long tape set featuring Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, and Joe Pesci. This one’s definitely going straight into my collection!
Thankfully, there were no duplicates in the shipment, so I’m excited to add these to my VHS library.

## Vintage Haul from a Flea Market: A Stress Relief Session
To distract myself from the chaos of moving, my fiancée and I visited Vendor’s Village Flea Market—a great spot for retail therapy. Here are some of the cool finds we picked up:
### From the Flea Market
- **Picard Figure:** An old-school Next-Gen piece that I instantly fell in love with. Despite its beaten-up condition, it’s a must-have for any *Star Trek* fan!
- **Big Box Copy of SimCity 3000:** A classic PC game. While the box is squished, it’s still intact and worth having in my collection.
- **Box Set of Original Planet of the Apes Films on VHS:** I’ve only seen the newer versions, so this set is a treat!
### Miscellaneous Finds
- **Logitech USB Desktop Microphone ($3):** I picked up two from Goodwill, but let’s hope this one works for a fun and cheap video about budget microphones.
- **Three-Pack of Parallel Port Switches (Bi-Directional Two-Port Dana Switch):** This was purely for its retro appeal—it looks amazing!

## Vinyl Records: A Soundtrack to the Chaos
Oh, and I almost forgot—we picked up a few vinyl records too! Apologies for the large fan noise in this section.
- **Fleetwood Mac Album:** A classic addition to any collection.
- **Weird Al Yankovic’s *3D:*** Can’t wait to listen to this one!
- **John Cougar Mellencamp Album:** A neat find to round out our music collection.

## New Apartment Setup: From Chaos to Creativity
On a brighter note, the new apartment is going to be amazing! It’s a 3-bedroom unit with plenty of space for:
- Our current living room, game room, and production office—all condensed into one crowded space right now.
- A dedicated production office/computer area for me.
- A retro corner where I’ll build custom shelves to house my games, tapes, movies, and more—a perfect backdrop for video shooting!
- And eventually, a CRT TV to play retro games and watch VHS tapes—a setup I’m really excited about!

## Closing Thoughts: Gratitude and Future Plans
Thank you all so much for your support! As of the time of recording, we’re just 400 subscribers away from hitting 100k—freaking insane! I can’t express how grateful I am. I’m looking forward to showing off my new setup soon, including that elusive silver play button (even if it takes six months for YouTube to ship it).
I’ll be uploading another video shortly and diving into packing as we prepare for the move. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions—stress, nostalgia, and excitement all rolled into one—but I’m ready for this new chapter!
Thanks for sticking with me through all the tech tips, gaming nostalgia, and random content. If you enjoyed this video, hit like, share it out, and stay tuned for more updates on our move and future projects. See you in the next video!
