**Designing Smartphones: Power Consumption and Thermal Management**
When designing smartphones, two crucial factors must be considered to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Firstly, power consumption is a significant concern, as mobile processors like Tegra consume more energy than their counterparts, resulting in higher temperatures. This can lead to reduced battery life, overheating, and decreased overall system performance. As a result, device manufacturers must prioritize power-efficient designs that minimize energy consumption without sacrificing performance.
**Comparison of Noise Cancellation Headphones**
Mr. Xperia asked us to compare the sound quality and noise cancellation capabilities of two headphones: the Bose QuietComfort 35 (QC35) and the Audio-Technica M50x. We share our experiences with both headphones, noting that while the M50x provides a more accurate and pure sound signature, it lacks active noise cancellation. In contrast, the QC35 excels in noise cancellation, but amplifies low frequencies slightly compared to the M50x.
**Wi-Fi Range Extender Recommendations**
Mr. X asked for recommendations on Wi-Fi range extenders suitable for home use with two devices. We recall our experience with the TP-Link Wi-Fi Range Extender, which is still working fine despite being over a year old. Another cousin's house with a duplex setup used the TP-Link Range Extender with external antennas, also performing well. These affordable and effective options can help resolve range issues in homes.
**Headphone Recommendation: Audio-Technica M50x vs. Grado SR60**
Nick Johnson asked for our opinion on which headphone is superior in terms of sound quality and noise cancellation: the Audio-Technica M50x or the Grado SR60. We share our experiences with both headphones, noting that while the M50x offers better noise isolation due to its closed-back design, it sacrifices some sound signature detail. The Grado SR60, on the other hand, provides an open and lively sound, but leaks sound through its open design, making it less suitable for everyday use.
**Conclusion**
These Q&A sessions highlight the importance of power consumption and thermal management in smartphone design. We also explore the nuances of noise cancellation headphones, from the strengths and weaknesses of each model to the considerations of sound signature and isolation. Additionally, we offer recommendations on Wi-Fi range extenders that can address common issues at home. Finally, we debate the merits of two headphones, weighing the trade-offs between power consumption, sound quality, and noise cancellation.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit and welcome to 171st Tech Q&A session where I'll be answering some of your Tech related uh questions and for this Tech Q&A session I have picked up the questions from the YouTube Community page on uh yesterday I had posted about it and my my I got over 1,850 questions and many of you asked why why is your question not selected as you can see guys there's so many questions and I simply cannot select all the questions I've selected about uh close to about 35 to 40 questions out of this take Q&A session so let's uh uh check them out and this is by Nelson the first question he's asking iPhone 6 upgrade to the iPhone 7 is it uh recommended uh yes if you're having the iPhone uh 6 I feel the iPhone 7 is a good upgrade it's having that dual speaker water resistant features and the biggest upgrade I would say is in terms of camera performance the camera performance has hugely improved on the iPhone 7 but again the iPhone 7 yes now the price of the iPhone 7 has fallen down to about 50,000 earlier it was close to about 60,000 so yes if you're looking for an upgrade it's a good upgrade but we do know for a fact that the iPhone 8 that's going to come out uh should be actually really uh good and apple is going to add a lot more features hope that helps uh this is by Paul he is asking uh please come here Lenovo k6 power and redmi Note 4 can camera performance battery backup uh I would say overall the redmi Note 4 will go ahead uh but again go with the redmi Note 4 at least the 3 GB Ram model not for the 2 GB Ram model obviously uh in camera both are very similar the redmi Note 4 and the Lenovo k64 uh k6 Power sorry uh but in terms of performance raw performance definitely the redmi Note 4 will go ahead because of uh the simple fact that it's having a far more Superior chipset that's the Snapdragon 625 and also in battery backup the both of them will actually give you very good battery backup even the Lenovo k6 power has very good battery backup but again here the redmi not uh 4 will go slightly ahead so overall I would say the redmi Note 4 would be a better Peck uh this is by vuan he's asking which smartphone do you use uh from Nepal uh I'm actually currently using this fossil Marshall Smartwatch but don't go for this one this is sort of rubbit the screen quality is not good it is having some screen retention issue the only reason I'm using it is that I purchased it that is the reason that I'm using I'm stuck with it in fact I would say recently I reviewed the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier that's far better than this one uh but again it's sort of expensive uh if you want to go with the what do you say Android Wear uh then the Moto uh 360 generation 2 which is actually slightly old now can be had for a good price price uh this is by dhit Sha he's asking what's the difference between lpddr4 and lpddr uh three Ram this is Ram uh the lp uh low power DDR uh RAM that you're talking uh is used in mobiles and the biggest difference that you'll find between DDR3 and ddr4 is that ddr4 is slightly faster with the uh higher band wids that it offers and also the biggest advantages that the ddr4 ram will have over DDR3 is in terms of power uh it it requires a lot more less power compared to DDR3 RAM and in fact if you're going to buy a flagship sort of a smartphone it will come with ddr4 Ram uh this is by jrin he's asking what's the difference between ois and Eis ois stands for optical image stabilization and uh example it's found on most uh smartphones and even camera lenses uh what it has it's a physical mechanism that you'll have with Optical image stabilization for example to give you very crude example let's say this is your smartphone when you're taking photographs or even video uh your hands actually shake a little bit and if it has Optical image stabilization this is a physical mechanism U the actual lens is mounted on this one and it has gyroscopes and other sensors so if when you're moving a hand like this this mechanism moves it in the counter uh opposite direction to stabilize the footage so ois is a physical thing that needs to be on the camera whereas electronic image stabilization it does not require any special Hardware it's done on the sensor but again for Eis to work it's actually adjusting the pixels when you shoot the video it's being done bya software so it does crop up the uh picture a little bit I would say 10% or so earlier Eis was not that great but uh from past one year I'm noticing that Eis uh option is also actually really good and many of the high-end smartphones actually employ both that is Optical image stabilization and E so Optical image St stabilization you need Hardware support for it to make it work but Eis is done via software uh so let's move to the next one this is by sanit he's asking let me just wear my spe I can't see this do explain me in short what is intranet and Extranet as uh that's in my syllabus and if possible make a separate short video uh okay let's talk about intranet versus Extranet think of infranet as a close circuit uh mini Network that you'll have in your company let's say if you have a company you have about 100 OD people in that company and you have a network uh there you'll have some servers internal web servers and uh collaboration servers Etc uh you can even run exchange servers and stuff like that and you have a closed this network what you have is only there for the people working inside the company this cannot be accessed actually uh from outside so it's a closed Network that you have and that's known as a intranet uh this intranet many of the big companies actually do employ intranet their sales stuff uh their accounting stuff collaborations all happen in that and this is not accessible uh from outside but uh Extranet uh is again the same thing but here the company actually gives some access to outside people it's not open like internet like everybody can access but company gives some specific permissions to clients there might be some external clients that need to access that Network and once you do that that's known as Extranet I hope that helps uh this is by Gupta he's asking Google assistant on all Android phones uh Gupta not on all Android uh smartphones uh it will come uh if your Android phone runs on Android marshmallow and above and also another requirement is that that the phone should have at least 1.5 GB of RAM or more so if you're having any modern smartphone that you've purchased in the past 6 months and it uh it has Android marshmallow and above 1.5 GB Ram it should get the uh what do you say Google Assistant uh this is by Tech unwrapped he's asking OnePlus 3T or the iPhone 6 because iPhone 6 is still a good competitor I guess uh Frankly Speaking if I were you between the OnePlus 3T and the iPhone 6 I would go with the OnePlus 3T uh the iPhone 6 don't get me wrong it's a decent phone but if we compare it in uh with the uh OnePlus 3D the OnePlus 3D will go ahead in fact I would say in terms of camera performance also the OnePlus 3T would give you better camera performance than the iPhone uh 6 so my pick would be the uh what do you say uh 1plus 3T over the iPhone 6 uh this is by Anand he's asking which DSLR should I go for he says his budget is 30 to 40,000 is the Nikon D5300 a nice option I haven't uh tested this specific uh DSLR so I'm not very sure uh uh from what I've heard I personally don't use nikin DSLR for the simple reason is that uh I for my with my dslrs I just mostly shoot just video and in that respect Nikon is not that great Canon dslrs are better for video so if you're just going to use it for photography then you can look at Nikon but if you're going to do mixed stuff like video also then Canon might be a better option uh this is by Jane uh do you plan to do a tech Creator hunt to on a larger scale uh goam let's see uh uh yeah I would actually like to do that with Ash if time permits let's see if it can be done by the end of this year and uh if we are able to uh get some sponsors we would definitely like to do it on a much larger scale because we see the potential in that one uh let's move to the next one this is by Harel he's asking I want to buy a dies camera so uh can you suggest me one uh should I buy a new one or a three or 4 year old used one I'm a beginner and a budget of about 30,000 uh for a budget of about 30 ,000 you can get a new DSLR I would say uh so go with that the only reason I might go with the older DSLR is that for example if you're doing video kind of work then uh if you getting the Canon 70D or something like that used then I would prefer that because of the Dual pixel technology on Canon 70D and the 80d they do a far better job in video compared to other dslrs but if you're just going to use it for static photography you can get a new DSLR I think it's the Canon 1300d or something in this uh price point uh this is by shage but nagar he's asking I'm planning to buy a phone budget around 30,000 he says I've decided for the OnePlus 3T should I go ahead with the purchase or wait for any particular launch that might be as good as the OnePlus 3T as of now I've mentioned earlier also the best phone overall if you talk about the price to Performance ratio is the OnePlus 3T so yeah if you want a phone right now you can go with the plusus 3T the only thing that I've noticed is that now with some heavy gaming it does exhibit some heating issues but apart from that it's overall a good phone uh I don't see any uh phone as of now in that price band that might be the OnePlus uh uh 3 te there are rumors that the xiaomi MI6 might come out but I feel that'll take some time because from rumors what we are hearing it'll be on the Snapdragon 835 and if that's the case that will be only launching after April that is after the launch of the Galaxy S8 I hope that info helps uh this is by harsh Punjabi he's asking can you send me a good tripod with fluid head budget is around 8,000 rupees harsh I don't recall the model name exactly uh but go for this brand this known as eimage you won't find it online but if you go to uh in your city there might be a good camera store uh go with eimage what do you say tripod many of the uh news agencies Etc use that in fact I also use e image tripod the one that I got about 2 years ago I don't recall the model number that's for 10,000 with the fluid head fluid head but there is also one more variant that comes with for about 7,800 or so and that also comes with a fluid head e image uh this is by nes ready he's asking how's the S Voice on gear S3 can we reply and create text and WhatsApp message seamlessly he asking small messages are okay uh but how about like 10-word sentences or messages scan it this will impact my uh purchase nitish let's get it very uh right the voice dictation on the Samsung Galaxy uh sorry S3 uh gear S3 is good enough but again it's not perfect I would say I've used it quite a few times and I have dictated like two three lines of sentences also and I would say the accuracy will be about 70% uh some words it will misspell so if you are hyper paranoid about that then it is not 100% and foolproof but again if long sentences it might mix up a word or two but the other party should understand that but again if you're expecting it'll get your voice 100% all the time then no that won't be the case uh this is by ner he's asking is there any possibility of a new operating system emerging uh for the mobile platform other than Android or iOS uh what will be your thoughts and reaction if it ever happens N I don't think so in the mobile space as of now we will see any new mobile operating system that can compete with Android or iOS because they have actually uh the entire Market is captured by them even Windows uh mobile has just less than 1% market share so I don't uh see a space for a new mobile platform competing with Android or iOS directly uh we are seeing this new wave of virtual reality I don't know how popular it is so maybe if a new OS comes there it might have an opportunity but if they want to attack existing Android or iOS devices that would be very tough this is why Shivam he's asking static IP and dynamic IP please tell uh about the different standards such as thcp and p p p o okay first let's talk about static IP static IP is a sort of a permanent IP address that is given to you by your uh ISP and this will not change whenever you start your router or gear that IP will be constant and this is useful if you are running a company or anything like that for example you run a web server uh those kind of stuff require a permanent static IP so that is St static IP the general home broadband connections always you will get a dynamic IP that means whenever you restart your router or log into your internet connection a random IP is assigned that is known as Dynamic IP and uh uh difference between DHCP and a uh p ppop uh server DHCP is dynamic host control protocol I've already made uh videos about this on my other channel that is known as G explains just check out that uh for ppop it's used for authentication for example when you're logging onto your internet connection uh you need a username and password again it'll differ from different isps to the ISP with the ppop you can actually uh automate this stuff with a dialer I hope uh it helps uh this is by n he's asking is the redm Note 4 a promising smartphone what's the review after 2 months of usage can I expect any camera improvements through software updates uh and what is the s that you're giving after heavy usage NES I've already posted my review of the redmi Note 4 about a month ago and it's a very good phone for the price and the battery life was good in terms of screen on time anywhere at least 6 to uh 7 hours I was easily getting uh with casual users even touching about 8 and 1 half hours and uh camera improvements I don't think so we'll see huge leaps and bouns of camera improvements what is the camera right now will be the camera performance uh uh that so don't expect that it'll the camera performance will magically compete with the Moto G4 Plus or what it is the camera is a definite improvement over the redmi Note 3 again I had posted a comparison video earlier also but if camera is your highest priority I've mentioned earlier also the honor 6X has a better camera I hope it helps uh this is by she is asking he says I want to know uh that when in a smartphone a cell network is on and at the same time Wi-Fi is also connected uh then the phone uses which one uh the Wi-Fi or the cellular network uh yes when uh uh let's say you have mobile data enabled and you are connected to Wi-Fi your phone will use the internet from the WiFi connection that is how it is designed but uh let's say your Wi-Fi connection suddenly drops out uh your internet fails so in many of the smartphones it will automatically move to the mobile data for example Samsung calls this Smart Switch but if Wi-Fi is working it will resort to the Wi-Fi connection instead of your mobile data I hope it helps uh this is by ano he's asking uh I'm searching for a budget earphone under rupees 700 to 600 rupees he say so which is the best with base and Clarity I mean best over all in the price segment ano I have mentioned this earlier also last I think so I have reviewed this last the audio techn CLR 100 for about 600 to 650 is the best earphones that I have used in terms of sound quality yes the wire quality is not good but in sound quality that was the best but the con is that it does not have a microphone so if you need the microphone then the JBL T1 15s are the one but in terms of pure sound quality I still say I would prefer the Audio Technica CLR 100 uh this is by rotwick a camera related uh question I haven't actually tested these specific cameras but I'll take it he's asking Panasonic fz300 bridge camera that has a focal length from 24 to 600 mm with f2.8 fixed aperture or the Canon 700 to 800d we'll have to buy a good lens for the Canon he says uh include some Sony option I I haven't actually reviewed a lot of Sony cameras I did test some I didn't like them M and he says this is mainly for video work and occasional photography so rutwik you are very clear that you you need the cameras for what do you say uh YouTube related work so I'm assuming you'll be shooting a lot of video I haven't personally use the fz300 so can't comment too much about it uh so check how is the autofocusing on that uh uh camera because for video autof focusing might be very important if you don't have a camera man for example I work alone so I Rely heavily on the autof focusing so check how is the autof focusing on it uh and even on the Canon 700 800d check the autofocusing because uh the Canon 700 and 800d don't have dual pixel autofocusing system so the focusing can be a little bit jumpy so be just be aware of that for example I uh purchased recently the Panasonic FZ 2500 which is the best Bridge cameras uh but I'm still having some focusing uh issues so for video focusing is the main thing so I would say if you can check the camera go to the camera store tell them you really want to test the autof focusing test that and then only decide because if the autof focusing does not work and if you don't have a cameraman it'll be a very tough job to make the videos trust me about that uh being there done that uh this is by Jan he's asking Google claims that the pixel has uh 1.55 Micron pixel what does that mean yes the pixel size on the what do you say uh sensor of the Google pixels camera is 1.55 Micron that means the pixels are actually slightly bigger compared to uh the pixels F on many of the other smartphone cameras and due to the fact that it is having slightly larger pixels uh it can gather in actually a lot more light compared to other uh smartphone cameras that is one more reason that the pixel actually does a very good job in artificial and low lighting conditions in fact I'll be making soon a a dedicated video regarding camera sensors and the uh pixel size and the megapixel myth that you guys have on the geeki r Explain series so just stay tuned for that one uh this is by m she's asking what do you think about the next pixel uh phone uh uh regarding the price segment and the bill quality mes we do know for the fact that the pixel 2 is going to come out Google's representative uh actually announced that and when there was a question will the pixel 2 be a sort of a budget oriented phone they said no pixel series are premium phones and the pricing would be premium so I don't think so the next pixel that is the pixel 2 will be a budget or a mid-range phone it'll be a flagship and the pricing sadly will be uh high this is by Prashant he's asking what was the most fun or interesting experience you had while reviewing a product Prashant very interesting question and uh yeah I always uh get surprised when I go with very low expectations for a particular device or Gadget and I'm surprised with the performance if I recall this happened to me uh with the audio Technica CLR 100 earphones uh I don't recall if I when I purchased it was just for 600 rupees and I had very very low expectations when I started reviewing it but boy oh boy when I just started testing them I was for a surprise so products like that when you have very low expectations and they do surprise with your performance always brings me uh brings a joy to me but lately sadly it happens very less uh this is by harit he's asking heard you have taken the a broad band connection recently yes I've taken a ail broadband connection he's asking how the speeds and is it consistent cuz I want to change from beam uh he is also staying in hbad cuz it's just not consistent and what package did you offer yes I took the AEL connection and they call it V fiber it's Hors this they call it V fiber it is nothing but a vdsl connection that means they can offer High download speeds but again uploads won't be very fast I have opted for the base plan uh that is uh 700 R before tax so it will be about 770 rupees uh 7 about 780 rupees after taxes and I get a download of 16 megabit and upload of 2.4 megabit on it and regarding consistency and uh speeds I'm getting consistent speeds that is what I'm liking about that connection though I have the beam broadband that's now known as act that's a 75 megabit connection that I have uh but it is not consistent so for doing any critical work I'm actually preferring the airel connection but the corn is uploads are simply not that good uh the AEL representative told me if I go for the 40 megabit plan uh then I will get upload speed of about 4 megab but as of now with the 16 megab plan I'm getting an upload speed of uh just 2.4 megab I hope it answers your question uh this is by rajendra he's asking redmi Note 4 or honor 6X performance camera and Battery uh uh life is important uh please suggest uh let's get it out uh if it's just the camera performance honor 6X has a better camera compared to the redmi Note 4 uh performance both of them actually did perform very well but in terms of battery life definitely the redmi Note 4 will get you better battery life compared to the honor 6 x again I've already posted in-depth reviews with its pros and cons for both these devices so check out those videos and then decide which one is better for you uh this is by tesar ra he's asking why do you think Leno is lagging behind other brands in uh case of updates if this is going to continue is it worth to buy Moto devices anymore like the G5 Plus or the Moto M regarding motom don't go for the Moto M it's having a mediate Tech chipset and for the price of what Motorola is charging 16,000 I feel is just overpriced product uh with the other Moto devices like the G4 plus Etc Motorola is providing Android updates but one place where they are not providing updates is in terms of Android security updates Android security updates even Moto devices are not getting that quickly they just updated once in four five months so that is one area where Motorola is severely lagging and I have also complained about it several times uh I hope they change but their policy as of now is that uh uh monthly Android updates they are just simply not providing Android regular Android updates uh I don't think so the Moto G5 plus would be a issue for that but monthly security update don't expect it to come every month maybe once in four five months if you are sort of Lucky this is by gorov Sharma he is asking an interesting question I got this sort of a question from quite a few uh that's why I'm taking this uh so do you think that Mr butchen as brand ambassador of OnePlus is good move in my opinion that'll hike the price of the OnePlus 5 chances of getting uh the of he's talking about the price uh drop gorov I don't think so the price of the OnePlus products will fall uh this is the general Trend that we are seeing with the OnePlus if you notice said 1 plus one what was the pricing 1 plusus 2 they raise it a little bit with 1plus 3 they up to about 28,000 with the 1plus 3T now the base variant is about 30,000 so they're slowly increasing the pricing so yes obviously the OnePlus uh 4 if you are expecting the OnePlus 4 pricing to be uh OnePlus 5 sorry uh pricing to be aggressive that will simply not happen and yes they are sort of now spending a lot on marketing I don't know why they are doing it because most of the tech saavi crowd does know about the one plus but looks like they want to Target the non-tech saavi crowd and hence they have had Mr butchen as their brand ambassador so yeah if you are expecting the price of the OnePlus products to fall now so I doubt that would happen uh anurag is asking everyone says Nikon DLR is are bad for video but no one gives a reason or explains why tell me why anurag the thing is that Nikon dslrs do great job when you take static photographs but in video they are sort of Po were uh in fact autof focusing is not that good it is in fact uh very jumpy and sort of unusable if you're going to use autof focusing on Nikon dslrs and also uh the menu layout is sort of difficult for video work that's the reason many people prefer Canon dslrs for video over Nikon I hope that helps Mr sharmi is asking tell me about your video like what do you do like scripting editing Etc the whole process I actually don't do any scripting uh I'm not I all my videos that you see are unscripted I just can't do scripted work uh but uh before actually shooting any review there's a lot of work that goes behind the scenes I test the product for a week or two and this is the device that I use uh mostly uh I use this this is the Surface Pro 4 and when I'm testing the device I write down all my notes what I have noticing about that in this Surface Pro 4 and uh when I'm posting recording my review I just take down those pros and cons and just talk about my experience in my review so I just don't do scripting stuff and yes obviously after that you need to do editing so it's the shooting part might take just about an hour or so but again the whole process of testing a product uh and getting the detailed pros and cons and how a device behaves in certain situation that whole process can take about 2 to two and a half weeks for a particular device I hope that helps uh this is by uh shinoy he's asking how is your Dy AC air conditioner working now uh shinoy yes my Dy air conditioner U is working very good I purchased the inverter one about 2 years ago it's in my old office working great and again in my new office setup this is the new office setup I actually got three new Dyan AC's again the inverter model and those are actually also working very well in fact my air conditioner is switched on right now and you can't hear the noise that's the beauty of the Dyan air condition but one thing that I found out recently is that uh for my new office as I mentioned I purchased three new dyen air conditioners all of them are inverter ones because they consume a lot less electricity uh but one of them uh was the Indian uh model and U and it was slightly cheaper about 15% less uh and I noticed that the Indian variant actually produces a lot more noise compared to the other ones the one that I'm using right now and this is very silent is the Malaysian unit but this one actually cost about 15 to 18% more than the the Indian variant so if noise is your highest uh low noise is your highest thing when you're buying a Dy AC go with those Malaysian models uh they are slightly expensive but uh they produce a lot less noise and in fact whenever I do the shooting you hardly guys even realize that the AC is uh running I hope uh that helps uh this is by seren she's asking which is the best smartphone under R 15,000 battery life is the highest priority uh as you have mentioned battery life is your highest criteria yeah then the redmi Note 4 uh would be your best bet because the redmi Note 4 uh gets awesome uh battery life next question is from Krishna Paul he's asking when will Lenovo give Nur update I've been waiting for it Lenovo why do you do so I think so you're referring to the Lenovo zuk Z2 plus and yes uh I'm also sort of annoyed that Lenovo is just ignoring it they're not actually giving us out a date when will the no good update come out because they had promised the no good update at launch so I'm also very annoyed and in fact ash from C4 ech also made a dedicated video about this topic but still we didn't get any concrete reply i' I personally have also been ranting about this to Lenovo on Twitter publicly but again I'm getting sort of canned replies nothing conc uh concrete so I'm also actually very disappointed with the Lenovo it's high time they come out very clean and mention when their specific devices will get Android noet update so let's move uh this is by abishek uh he's asking how is it that you stay interested in smartphones consistently especially since the last two years where a phone is launched every month there is little uh Innovation yes abishek the type of innovations that we are seeing in smartphone is coming to it's like flattening down it's like the PC market now the PCS have matured earlier in 200 uh every generation every year used to see very uh new processors and new stuff on PCS but lately it has plate that's the same thing that's happening with the smartphones but one place I still feel good things are happening with the smartphone is in the mid-range Market uh the mid-range smartphones are actually becoming very powerful so yeah it's not as ex exciting as it was earlier but still I feel in the mid-range segment we are getting very good phones and still there is room for uh Improvement by oems uh this is by San he's asking any mobile will work perfectly for some months uh only uh he's he's mentioning that after using the smartphones for a couple of months they tend to get uh slow down and he's giving example Samsung HTG Sony LG all the same this is the second time he says he's asking s think of your smartphone as a computer it's indirectly a computer handheld computer that you're using and if you have uh used a Windows PC also when you got your Windows PC new it was fresh it was fast but after a year or year and a half you might have noticed that even your windows PCS actually tend to go uh slow down that's the same case that happens with your smartphones also and I'll tell you the reason why it's not like your processor is getting degraded or anything like that the thing is that uh during this time course you start to install a lot of apps and a lot of junk gets accumulated on the smartphone and many people don't realize even one or two bad apps can slow down the entire performance of your smartphone that's the same case even with your computers or PCS so again uh I would say format your back up the important data that you have format your uh smartphone Factory said and only install the apps that you really need and you'll immediately notice the speed uh bump uh that you'll notice so it's due to the junk wear and stuff that keeps accumulating on your smartphone I hope it helps uh this is by soil he is asking which laptop is good for video editing and what is your advice for starters uh on YouTube um this is a two-part question so I would say for video editing you need a powerful processor with a decent uh GPU so I would say uh if your budget is tight go with the Intel Core i5 based processor and in terms of ram go with the laptop with at least 8 GB of RAM if you have the budget to splur around and you are doing this as profession daily video editing then I would suggest go with the core i7 and with 16 GB of RAM with a decent GPU but if you're just doing it casually then uh Intel Core I5 based processor with 8 GB of RAM would be the one to go with and also uh go with a fast drive like a SS and use external hard drive uh for storing uh material because ssts are expensive and for start starting in YouTube just follow your passion whatever you are good at just try to do that and it'll take some time but you if you're doing good stuff people will find you that's uh how YouTube works I hope it helps uh I'm getting another computer related question this is by uh Mr Sing he's asking ssds versus hard drives which one is better and why is it good to compromise storage for good speed and SSD ssds are solid state drive so there are no mechanical Parts in that so it is blazingly fast whereas on the hard drives we have a lot of mechanical parts and the heads actually have to physically moves and the platters have to actually physically move to get uh data that's why hard drives are a lot slower in fact I would say if you compare a SSD with a hard drive the SSD will be anywhere between 8 to 10 times faster than a hard drive so uh I would say go with the SSD but again ssds are very expensive and for example I use SSD my MacBook Pro has an SSD but for uh what do you say General storage I use a normal hard drive as external storage so I would say uh use if you have a lot of what you say heavy files big files video Etc store them on a mechanical hard drive but for your regular stuff that you have on your your laptop your apps etc those should be actually stored on the SSD so any day the ssds uh will be way faster than the hard drives in fact about four years ago if you search my channel SSD versus hard drive I have made a video that visually shows how fast the other ssds are compared to the hard drives hope it helps uh this is by geek Tech he's asking he says I have a question for you how much time a newly uh brought smartphone should be charged for the first time in order to get a healthy long lasting battery life uh I do keep getting similar questions like that and there's a lot of myth around this that if you get a new smartphone you have to charge it for 8 or 12 hours there's nothing like that when you get a new smartphone uh just use it normally I would say but personally I would say don't allow it to fall the battery life to fall below 20% when it's around 25% or so charge it fully to 100% that means you don't have to charge it for 8 or 12 hours generally most of the smartphones will charge fully in about 2 hours and after that just start using it normally and again uh Golden Rule is that uh don't discharge your battery completely that is one thing you should follow with lithium ion and Lithium Polymer batteries and that's these lithium ion and Lithium Polymer batteries are found on most smartphones hope it helps uh this is by akill he's asking is the Nexus 6p still worth in 2017 right now I'm using the Samsung J5 I'm considering the Nexus 6p zuk Z2 and the MI5 my priorities are camera battery and gaming a the Nexus 6p is still a decent phone but I would not recommend you the Nexus 6p now because it's running on the Snapdragon 810 chipset and uh when you push the Nexus 6p it tends to heat up quite a bit so that is still an issue with the Nexus 6p yeah I still like the Nexus 6p the camera is good uh I don't know what's your budget but I feel the OnePlus 3T might be or the even the OnePlus 3 might be a better option as of now compared to the Nexus 6 P this is by uh abila she's asking even though the Nvidia Tegra processors are having desktop great performance why are they not being implemented in the smartphone AB a very interesting question yes the Tegra processors are actually uh very good in terms of raw performance but one big problem they have is that they consume a uh too much power and for a smartphone or a mobile uh battery life consumption is very very important and also the Tegra processors do actually uh uh produce a lot more heat compared to other mobile processor so these are the two things that are actually very important when you're designing a smartphone it should consume low power and also the thermal uh heat that it generate should not be that high that is actually high on the Tegra SM uh what do you say processor that is the main reasons that we do not see Tegra processors on most smartphones next question is from Mr Xperia he's asking can you please compare the sound of the Bose qc35 to regular cans like the a m50x that's the Audio Technica m50x better or worse I wish to get myself a pair of uh ANC that means active noise cancellation headphones and want to get an idea of the sound signature compared to the regular headphones uh I own both the B qc35 as well as the Audio Technica m50x and I would say if I'm in my house uh and I just want to listen to Pure music I prefer the audio techn m50x but when I'm traveling and especially if I have to take flights I always go with the BOS qc35 because of the active noise cancellation the Bose qc35 actually amplifies the base a little bit compared to the m50x but in terms of highs and other frequencies I feel the Audio Technica m50x are are slightly better so if you're sort of purest you would prefer the sound signature of the m50x uh but again terms of noise cancellation obviously the Bose qc35 are in its own sort of a league so decide if you really want that noise cancellation yes the Bose qc35 is one of the best but if just sound uh what do you say purity of sound is the most highest thing then I would say I would lean over the m50x I hope it helps uh this is by uh Mr X he's asking can you recommend me a good Wi-Fi Range Extender that you have used recently or you feel as good that is for home use maximum two device will be used uh about 1 and a half years ago I got a tplink Wi-Fi Range Extender I even reviewed about it just check out on my channel and that's still working fine and even about 6 months ago one of my cousins who has actually a duplex house got a TP Link range extended but that one was having two external antennas I don't recall the model name and that one also is actually doing uh fine so yeah if you're having those range issues you can go with those TP Link uh range they are cheap and they get the job done uh so this is the last question and this is by Nick Johnson uh he's asking which headphone would you recommend the audio Technic m50x again or the gro sr60 uh purely in terms of sound quality and noise cancellation your thoughts on both in fact I own both the gro sr60 it's actually not sold in India uh but I love the gr sr60 uh one of my friends when he came from us gifted it to me I think so in US it sells for about $100 and I love the gr if it's just the pure sound quality I love the gr but again they are open here so if somebody is sitting beside you they can also hear the music so and in terms of noise isolation the gr Sr 60s won't isolate the sound completely compared to the m50x the m50x are closed SC so they cover your ear fully so in that way the noise isolation is better on the m50x but the sound signature is slightly very different from the m50x compared to the gro sr60 the sr60 uh being open uh open air uh actually the they sound the music sounds more lively and I actually enjoy listening to sr60 a lot more uh but lately I'm not using the sr60 a lot because I only listen to music at night and due to the nature of the sr60 open back the sound leaks my wife sort of gets annoyed uh but if I have to pick one just based on the sound what I love I would say I like the sound signature of the gr sr60 but sadly they are not sold in India in us they are available for about uh $100 so these were some of the questions for this 171st Tech Q&A session I hope uh uh some of these questions were helpful to you and guys if you're not subscribed to my YouTube channel hit that subscribe button and not only just subscribe that uh button hit that what do you say Bell icon because if you don't do that you won't be notified when I post a new video so guys that's it for now for this video I hope you liked it and again if you're not subscribed hit that subscribe button thanks for watching this is ranit and I hope to see you in my next videohi there this is ranit and welcome to 171st Tech Q&A session where I'll be answering some of your Tech related uh questions and for this Tech Q&A session I have picked up the questions from the YouTube Community page on uh yesterday I had posted about it and my my I got over 1,850 questions and many of you asked why why is your question not selected as you can see guys there's so many questions and I simply cannot select all the questions I've selected about uh close to about 35 to 40 questions out of this take Q&A session so let's uh uh check them out and this is by Nelson the first question he's asking iPhone 6 upgrade to the iPhone 7 is it uh recommended uh yes if you're having the iPhone uh 6 I feel the iPhone 7 is a good upgrade it's having that dual speaker water resistant features and the biggest upgrade I would say is in terms of camera performance the camera performance has hugely improved on the iPhone 7 but again the iPhone 7 yes now the price of the iPhone 7 has fallen down to about 50,000 earlier it was close to about 60,000 so yes if you're looking for an upgrade it's a good upgrade but we do know for a fact that the iPhone 8 that's going to come out uh should be actually really uh good and apple is going to add a lot more features hope that helps uh this is by Paul he is asking uh please come here Lenovo k6 power and redmi Note 4 can camera performance battery backup uh I would say overall the redmi Note 4 will go ahead uh but again go with the redmi Note 4 at least the 3 GB Ram model not for the 2 GB Ram model obviously uh in camera both are very similar the redmi Note 4 and the Lenovo k64 uh k6 Power sorry uh but in terms of performance raw performance definitely the redmi Note 4 will go ahead because of uh the simple fact that it's having a far more Superior chipset that's the Snapdragon 625 and also in battery backup the both of them will actually give you very good battery backup even the Lenovo k6 power has very good battery backup but again here the redmi not uh 4 will go slightly ahead so overall I would say the redmi Note 4 would be a better Peck uh this is by vuan he's asking which smartphone do you use uh from Nepal uh I'm actually currently using this fossil Marshall Smartwatch but don't go for this one this is sort of rubbit the screen quality is not good it is having some screen retention issue the only reason I'm using it is that I purchased it that is the reason that I'm using I'm stuck with it in fact I would say recently I reviewed the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier that's far better than this one uh but again it's sort of expensive uh if you want to go with the what do you say Android Wear uh then the Moto uh 360 generation 2 which is actually slightly old now can be had for a good price price uh this is by dhit Sha he's asking what's the difference between lpddr4 and lpddr uh three Ram this is Ram uh the lp uh low power DDR uh RAM that you're talking uh is used in mobiles and the biggest difference that you'll find between DDR3 and ddr4 is that ddr4 is slightly faster with the uh higher band wids that it offers and also the biggest advantages that the ddr4 ram will have over DDR3 is in terms of power uh it it requires a lot more less power compared to DDR3 RAM and in fact if you're going to buy a flagship sort of a smartphone it will come with ddr4 Ram uh this is by jrin he's asking what's the difference between ois and Eis ois stands for optical image stabilization and uh example it's found on most uh smartphones and even camera lenses uh what it has it's a physical mechanism that you'll have with Optical image stabilization for example to give you very crude example let's say this is your smartphone when you're taking photographs or even video uh your hands actually shake a little bit and if it has Optical image stabilization this is a physical mechanism U the actual lens is mounted on this one and it has gyroscopes and other sensors so if when you're moving a hand like this this mechanism moves it in the counter uh opposite direction to stabilize the footage so ois is a physical thing that needs to be on the camera whereas electronic image stabilization it does not require any special Hardware it's done on the sensor but again for Eis to work it's actually adjusting the pixels when you shoot the video it's being done bya software so it does crop up the uh picture a little bit I would say 10% or so earlier Eis was not that great but uh from past one year I'm noticing that Eis uh option is also actually really good and many of the high-end smartphones actually employ both that is Optical image stabilization and E so Optical image St stabilization you need Hardware support for it to make it work but Eis is done via software uh so let's move to the next one this is by sanit he's asking let me just wear my spe I can't see this do explain me in short what is intranet and Extranet as uh that's in my syllabus and if possible make a separate short video uh okay let's talk about intranet versus Extranet think of infranet as a close circuit uh mini Network that you'll have in your company let's say if you have a company you have about 100 OD people in that company and you have a network uh there you'll have some servers internal web servers and uh collaboration servers Etc uh you can even run exchange servers and stuff like that and you have a closed this network what you have is only there for the people working inside the company this cannot be accessed actually uh from outside so it's a closed Network that you have and that's known as a intranet uh this intranet many of the big companies actually do employ intranet their sales stuff uh their accounting stuff collaborations all happen in that and this is not accessible uh from outside but uh Extranet uh is again the same thing but here the company actually gives some access to outside people it's not open like internet like everybody can access but company gives some specific permissions to clients there might be some external clients that need to access that Network and once you do that that's known as Extranet I hope that helps uh this is by Gupta he's asking Google assistant on all Android phones uh Gupta not on all Android uh smartphones uh it will come uh if your Android phone runs on Android marshmallow and above and also another requirement is that that the phone should have at least 1.5 GB of RAM or more so if you're having any modern smartphone that you've purchased in the past 6 months and it uh it has Android marshmallow and above 1.5 GB Ram it should get the uh what do you say Google Assistant uh this is by Tech unwrapped he's asking OnePlus 3T or the iPhone 6 because iPhone 6 is still a good competitor I guess uh Frankly Speaking if I were you between the OnePlus 3T and the iPhone 6 I would go with the OnePlus 3T uh the iPhone 6 don't get me wrong it's a decent phone but if we compare it in uh with the uh OnePlus 3D the OnePlus 3D will go ahead in fact I would say in terms of camera performance also the OnePlus 3T would give you better camera performance than the iPhone uh 6 so my pick would be the uh what do you say uh 1plus 3T over the iPhone 6 uh this is by Anand he's asking which DSLR should I go for he says his budget is 30 to 40,000 is the Nikon D5300 a nice option I haven't uh tested this specific uh DSLR so I'm not very sure uh uh from what I've heard I personally don't use nikin DSLR for the simple reason is that uh I for my with my dslrs I just mostly shoot just video and in that respect Nikon is not that great Canon dslrs are better for video so if you're just going to use it for photography then you can look at Nikon but if you're going to do mixed stuff like video also then Canon might be a better option uh this is by Jane uh do you plan to do a tech Creator hunt to on a larger scale uh goam let's see uh uh yeah I would actually like to do that with Ash if time permits let's see if it can be done by the end of this year and uh if we are able to uh get some sponsors we would definitely like to do it on a much larger scale because we see the potential in that one uh let's move to the next one this is by Harel he's asking I want to buy a dies camera so uh can you suggest me one uh should I buy a new one or a three or 4 year old used one I'm a beginner and a budget of about 30,000 uh for a budget of about 30 ,000 you can get a new DSLR I would say uh so go with that the only reason I might go with the older DSLR is that for example if you're doing video kind of work then uh if you getting the Canon 70D or something like that used then I would prefer that because of the Dual pixel technology on Canon 70D and the 80d they do a far better job in video compared to other dslrs but if you're just going to use it for static photography you can get a new DSLR I think it's the Canon 1300d or something in this uh price point uh this is by shage but nagar he's asking I'm planning to buy a phone budget around 30,000 he says I've decided for the OnePlus 3T should I go ahead with the purchase or wait for any particular launch that might be as good as the OnePlus 3T as of now I've mentioned earlier also the best phone overall if you talk about the price to Performance ratio is the OnePlus 3T so yeah if you want a phone right now you can go with the plusus 3T the only thing that I've noticed is that now with some heavy gaming it does exhibit some heating issues but apart from that it's overall a good phone uh I don't see any uh phone as of now in that price band that might be the OnePlus uh uh 3 te there are rumors that the xiaomi MI6 might come out but I feel that'll take some time because from rumors what we are hearing it'll be on the Snapdragon 835 and if that's the case that will be only launching after April that is after the launch of the Galaxy S8 I hope that info helps uh this is by harsh Punjabi he's asking can you send me a good tripod with fluid head budget is around 8,000 rupees harsh I don't recall the model name exactly uh but go for this brand this known as eimage you won't find it online but if you go to uh in your city there might be a good camera store uh go with eimage what do you say tripod many of the uh news agencies Etc use that in fact I also use e image tripod the one that I got about 2 years ago I don't recall the model number that's for 10,000 with the fluid head fluid head but there is also one more variant that comes with for about 7,800 or so and that also comes with a fluid head e image uh this is by nes ready he's asking how's the S Voice on gear S3 can we reply and create text and WhatsApp message seamlessly he asking small messages are okay uh but how about like 10-word sentences or messages scan it this will impact my uh purchase nitish let's get it very uh right the voice dictation on the Samsung Galaxy uh sorry S3 uh gear S3 is good enough but again it's not perfect I would say I've used it quite a few times and I have dictated like two three lines of sentences also and I would say the accuracy will be about 70% uh some words it will misspell so if you are hyper paranoid about that then it is not 100% and foolproof but again if long sentences it might mix up a word or two but the other party should understand that but again if you're expecting it'll get your voice 100% all the time then no that won't be the case uh this is by ner he's asking is there any possibility of a new operating system emerging uh for the mobile platform other than Android or iOS uh what will be your thoughts and reaction if it ever happens N I don't think so in the mobile space as of now we will see any new mobile operating system that can compete with Android or iOS because they have actually uh the entire Market is captured by them even Windows uh mobile has just less than 1% market share so I don't uh see a space for a new mobile platform competing with Android or iOS directly uh we are seeing this new wave of virtual reality I don't know how popular it is so maybe if a new OS comes there it might have an opportunity but if they want to attack existing Android or iOS devices that would be very tough this is why Shivam he's asking static IP and dynamic IP please tell uh about the different standards such as thcp and p p p o okay first let's talk about static IP static IP is a sort of a permanent IP address that is given to you by your uh ISP and this will not change whenever you start your router or gear that IP will be constant and this is useful if you are running a company or anything like that for example you run a web server uh those kind of stuff require a permanent static IP so that is St static IP the general home broadband connections always you will get a dynamic IP that means whenever you restart your router or log into your internet connection a random IP is assigned that is known as Dynamic IP and uh uh difference between DHCP and a uh p ppop uh server DHCP is dynamic host control protocol I've already made uh videos about this on my other channel that is known as G explains just check out that uh for ppop it's used for authentication for example when you're logging onto your internet connection uh you need a username and password again it'll differ from different isps to the ISP with the ppop you can actually uh automate this stuff with a dialer I hope uh it helps uh this is by n he's asking is the redm Note 4 a promising smartphone what's the review after 2 months of usage can I expect any camera improvements through software updates uh and what is the s that you're giving after heavy usage NES I've already posted my review of the redmi Note 4 about a month ago and it's a very good phone for the price and the battery life was good in terms of screen on time anywhere at least 6 to uh 7 hours I was easily getting uh with casual users even touching about 8 and 1 half hours and uh camera improvements I don't think so we'll see huge leaps and bouns of camera improvements what is the camera right now will be the camera performance uh uh that so don't expect that it'll the camera performance will magically compete with the Moto G4 Plus or what it is the camera is a definite improvement over the redmi Note 3 again I had posted a comparison video earlier also but if camera is your highest priority I've mentioned earlier also the honor 6X has a better camera I hope it helps uh this is by she is asking he says I want to know uh that when in a smartphone a cell network is on and at the same time Wi-Fi is also connected uh then the phone uses which one uh the Wi-Fi or the cellular network uh yes when uh uh let's say you have mobile data enabled and you are connected to Wi-Fi your phone will use the internet from the WiFi connection that is how it is designed but uh let's say your Wi-Fi connection suddenly drops out uh your internet fails so in many of the smartphones it will automatically move to the mobile data for example Samsung calls this Smart Switch but if Wi-Fi is working it will resort to the Wi-Fi connection instead of your mobile data I hope it helps uh this is by ano he's asking uh I'm searching for a budget earphone under rupees 700 to 600 rupees he say so which is the best with base and Clarity I mean best over all in the price segment ano I have mentioned this earlier also last I think so I have reviewed this last the audio techn CLR 100 for about 600 to 650 is the best earphones that I have used in terms of sound quality yes the wire quality is not good but in sound quality that was the best but the con is that it does not have a microphone so if you need the microphone then the JBL T1 15s are the one but in terms of pure sound quality I still say I would prefer the Audio Technica CLR 100 uh this is by rotwick a camera related uh question I haven't actually tested these specific cameras but I'll take it he's asking Panasonic fz300 bridge camera that has a focal length from 24 to 600 mm with f2.8 fixed aperture or the Canon 700 to 800d we'll have to buy a good lens for the Canon he says uh include some Sony option I I haven't actually reviewed a lot of Sony cameras I did test some I didn't like them M and he says this is mainly for video work and occasional photography so rutwik you are very clear that you you need the cameras for what do you say uh YouTube related work so I'm assuming you'll be shooting a lot of video I haven't personally use the fz300 so can't comment too much about it uh so check how is the autofocusing on that uh uh camera because for video autof focusing might be very important if you don't have a camera man for example I work alone so I Rely heavily on the autof focusing so check how is the autof focusing on it uh and even on the Canon 700 800d check the autofocusing because uh the Canon 700 and 800d don't have dual pixel autofocusing system so the focusing can be a little bit jumpy so be just be aware of that for example I uh purchased recently the Panasonic FZ 2500 which is the best Bridge cameras uh but I'm still having some focusing uh issues so for video focusing is the main thing so I would say if you can check the camera go to the camera store tell them you really want to test the autof focusing test that and then only decide because if the autof focusing does not work and if you don't have a cameraman it'll be a very tough job to make the videos trust me about that uh being there done that uh this is by Jan he's asking Google claims that the pixel has uh 1.55 Micron pixel what does that mean yes the pixel size on the what do you say uh sensor of the Google pixels camera is 1.55 Micron that means the pixels are actually slightly bigger compared to uh the pixels F on many of the other smartphone cameras and due to the fact that it is having slightly larger pixels uh it can gather in actually a lot more light compared to other uh smartphone cameras that is one more reason that the pixel actually does a very good job in artificial and low lighting conditions in fact I'll be making soon a a dedicated video regarding camera sensors and the uh pixel size and the megapixel myth that you guys have on the geeki r Explain series so just stay tuned for that one uh this is by m she's asking what do you think about the next pixel uh phone uh uh regarding the price segment and the bill quality mes we do know for the fact that the pixel 2 is going to come out Google's representative uh actually announced that and when there was a question will the pixel 2 be a sort of a budget oriented phone they said no pixel series are premium phones and the pricing would be premium so I don't think so the next pixel that is the pixel 2 will be a budget or a mid-range phone it'll be a flagship and the pricing sadly will be uh high this is by Prashant he's asking what was the most fun or interesting experience you had while reviewing a product Prashant very interesting question and uh yeah I always uh get surprised when I go with very low expectations for a particular device or Gadget and I'm surprised with the performance if I recall this happened to me uh with the audio Technica CLR 100 earphones uh I don't recall if I when I purchased it was just for 600 rupees and I had very very low expectations when I started reviewing it but boy oh boy when I just started testing them I was for a surprise so products like that when you have very low expectations and they do surprise with your performance always brings me uh brings a joy to me but lately sadly it happens very less uh this is by harit he's asking heard you have taken the a broad band connection recently yes I've taken a ail broadband connection he's asking how the speeds and is it consistent cuz I want to change from beam uh he is also staying in hbad cuz it's just not consistent and what package did you offer yes I took the AEL connection and they call it V fiber it's Hors this they call it V fiber it is nothing but a vdsl connection that means they can offer High download speeds but again uploads won't be very fast I have opted for the base plan uh that is uh 700 R before tax so it will be about 770 rupees uh 7 about 780 rupees after taxes and I get a download of 16 megabit and upload of 2.4 megabit on it and regarding consistency and uh speeds I'm getting consistent speeds that is what I'm liking about that connection though I have the beam broadband that's now known as act that's a 75 megabit connection that I have uh but it is not consistent so for doing any critical work I'm actually preferring the airel connection but the corn is uploads are simply not that good uh the AEL representative told me if I go for the 40 megabit plan uh then I will get upload speed of about 4 megab but as of now with the 16 megab plan I'm getting an upload speed of uh just 2.4 megab I hope it answers your question uh this is by rajendra he's asking redmi Note 4 or honor 6X performance camera and Battery uh uh life is important uh please suggest uh let's get it out uh if it's just the camera performance honor 6X has a better camera compared to the redmi Note 4 uh performance both of them actually did perform very well but in terms of battery life definitely the redmi Note 4 will get you better battery life compared to the honor 6 x again I've already posted in-depth reviews with its pros and cons for both these devices so check out those videos and then decide which one is better for you uh this is by tesar ra he's asking why do you think Leno is lagging behind other brands in uh case of updates if this is going to continue is it worth to buy Moto devices anymore like the G5 Plus or the Moto M regarding motom don't go for the Moto M it's having a mediate Tech chipset and for the price of what Motorola is charging 16,000 I feel is just overpriced product uh with the other Moto devices like the G4 plus Etc Motorola is providing Android updates but one place where they are not providing updates is in terms of Android security updates Android security updates even Moto devices are not getting that quickly they just updated once in four five months so that is one area where Motorola is severely lagging and I have also complained about it several times uh I hope they change but their policy as of now is that uh uh monthly Android updates they are just simply not providing Android regular Android updates uh I don't think so the Moto G5 plus would be a issue for that but monthly security update don't expect it to come every month maybe once in four five months if you are sort of Lucky this is by gorov Sharma he is asking an interesting question I got this sort of a question from quite a few uh that's why I'm taking this uh so do you think that Mr butchen as brand ambassador of OnePlus is good move in my opinion that'll hike the price of the OnePlus 5 chances of getting uh the of he's talking about the price uh drop gorov I don't think so the price of the OnePlus products will fall uh this is the general Trend that we are seeing with the OnePlus if you notice said 1 plus one what was the pricing 1 plusus 2 they raise it a little bit with 1plus 3 they up to about 28,000 with the 1plus 3T now the base variant is about 30,000 so they're slowly increasing the pricing so yes obviously the OnePlus uh 4 if you are expecting the OnePlus 4 pricing to be uh OnePlus 5 sorry uh pricing to be aggressive that will simply not happen and yes they are sort of now spending a lot on marketing I don't know why they are doing it because most of the tech saavi crowd does know about the one plus but looks like they want to Target the non-tech saavi crowd and hence they have had Mr butchen as their brand ambassador so yeah if you are expecting the price of the OnePlus products to fall now so I doubt that would happen uh anurag is asking everyone says Nikon DLR is are bad for video but no one gives a reason or explains why tell me why anurag the thing is that Nikon dslrs do great job when you take static photographs but in video they are sort of Po were uh in fact autof focusing is not that good it is in fact uh very jumpy and sort of unusable if you're going to use autof focusing on Nikon dslrs and also uh the menu layout is sort of difficult for video work that's the reason many people prefer Canon dslrs for video over Nikon I hope that helps Mr sharmi is asking tell me about your video like what do you do like scripting editing Etc the whole process I actually don't do any scripting uh I'm not I all my videos that you see are unscripted I just can't do scripted work uh but uh before actually shooting any review there's a lot of work that goes behind the scenes I test the product for a week or two and this is the device that I use uh mostly uh I use this this is the Surface Pro 4 and when I'm testing the device I write down all my notes what I have noticing about that in this Surface Pro 4 and uh when I'm posting recording my review I just take down those pros and cons and just talk about my experience in my review so I just don't do scripting stuff and yes obviously after that you need to do editing so it's the shooting part might take just about an hour or so but again the whole process of testing a product uh and getting the detailed pros and cons and how a device behaves in certain situation that whole process can take about 2 to two and a half weeks for a particular device I hope that helps uh this is by uh shinoy he's asking how is your Dy AC air conditioner working now uh shinoy yes my Dy air conditioner U is working very good I purchased the inverter one about 2 years ago it's in my old office working great and again in my new office setup this is the new office setup I actually got three new Dyan AC's again the inverter model and those are actually also working very well in fact my air conditioner is switched on right now and you can't hear the noise that's the beauty of the Dyan air condition but one thing that I found out recently is that uh for my new office as I mentioned I purchased three new dyen air conditioners all of them are inverter ones because they consume a lot less electricity uh but one of them uh was the Indian uh model and U and it was slightly cheaper about 15% less uh and I noticed that the Indian variant actually produces a lot more noise compared to the other ones the one that I'm using right now and this is very silent is the Malaysian unit but this one actually cost about 15 to 18% more than the the Indian variant so if noise is your highest uh low noise is your highest thing when you're buying a Dy AC go with those Malaysian models uh they are slightly expensive but uh they produce a lot less noise and in fact whenever I do the shooting you hardly guys even realize that the AC is uh running I hope uh that helps uh this is by seren she's asking which is the best smartphone under R 15,000 battery life is the highest priority uh as you have mentioned battery life is your highest criteria yeah then the redmi Note 4 uh would be your best bet because the redmi Note 4 uh gets awesome uh battery life next question is from Krishna Paul he's asking when will Lenovo give Nur update I've been waiting for it Lenovo why do you do so I think so you're referring to the Lenovo zuk Z2 plus and yes uh I'm also sort of annoyed that Lenovo is just ignoring it they're not actually giving us out a date when will the no good update come out because they had promised the no good update at launch so I'm also very annoyed and in fact ash from C4 ech also made a dedicated video about this topic but still we didn't get any concrete reply i' I personally have also been ranting about this to Lenovo on Twitter publicly but again I'm getting sort of canned replies nothing conc uh concrete so I'm also actually very disappointed with the Lenovo it's high time they come out very clean and mention when their specific devices will get Android noet update so let's move uh this is by abishek uh he's asking how is it that you stay interested in smartphones consistently especially since the last two years where a phone is launched every month there is little uh Innovation yes abishek the type of innovations that we are seeing in smartphone is coming to it's like flattening down it's like the PC market now the PCS have matured earlier in 200 uh every generation every year used to see very uh new processors and new stuff on PCS but lately it has plate that's the same thing that's happening with the smartphones but one place I still feel good things are happening with the smartphone is in the mid-range Market uh the mid-range smartphones are actually becoming very powerful so yeah it's not as ex exciting as it was earlier but still I feel in the mid-range segment we are getting very good phones and still there is room for uh Improvement by oems uh this is by San he's asking any mobile will work perfectly for some months uh only uh he's he's mentioning that after using the smartphones for a couple of months they tend to get uh slow down and he's giving example Samsung HTG Sony LG all the same this is the second time he says he's asking s think of your smartphone as a computer it's indirectly a computer handheld computer that you're using and if you have uh used a Windows PC also when you got your Windows PC new it was fresh it was fast but after a year or year and a half you might have noticed that even your windows PCS actually tend to go uh slow down that's the same case that happens with your smartphones also and I'll tell you the reason why it's not like your processor is getting degraded or anything like that the thing is that uh during this time course you start to install a lot of apps and a lot of junk gets accumulated on the smartphone and many people don't realize even one or two bad apps can slow down the entire performance of your smartphone that's the same case even with your computers or PCS so again uh I would say format your back up the important data that you have format your uh smartphone Factory said and only install the apps that you really need and you'll immediately notice the speed uh bump uh that you'll notice so it's due to the junk wear and stuff that keeps accumulating on your smartphone I hope it helps uh this is by soil he is asking which laptop is good for video editing and what is your advice for starters uh on YouTube um this is a two-part question so I would say for video editing you need a powerful processor with a decent uh GPU so I would say uh if your budget is tight go with the Intel Core i5 based processor and in terms of ram go with the laptop with at least 8 GB of RAM if you have the budget to splur around and you are doing this as profession daily video editing then I would suggest go with the core i7 and with 16 GB of RAM with a decent GPU but if you're just doing it casually then uh Intel Core I5 based processor with 8 GB of RAM would be the one to go with and also uh go with a fast drive like a SS and use external hard drive uh for storing uh material because ssts are expensive and for start starting in YouTube just follow your passion whatever you are good at just try to do that and it'll take some time but you if you're doing good stuff people will find you that's uh how YouTube works I hope it helps uh I'm getting another computer related question this is by uh Mr Sing he's asking ssds versus hard drives which one is better and why is it good to compromise storage for good speed and SSD ssds are solid state drive so there are no mechanical Parts in that so it is blazingly fast whereas on the hard drives we have a lot of mechanical parts and the heads actually have to physically moves and the platters have to actually physically move to get uh data that's why hard drives are a lot slower in fact I would say if you compare a SSD with a hard drive the SSD will be anywhere between 8 to 10 times faster than a hard drive so uh I would say go with the SSD but again ssds are very expensive and for example I use SSD my MacBook Pro has an SSD but for uh what do you say General storage I use a normal hard drive as external storage so I would say uh use if you have a lot of what you say heavy files big files video Etc store them on a mechanical hard drive but for your regular stuff that you have on your your laptop your apps etc those should be actually stored on the SSD so any day the ssds uh will be way faster than the hard drives in fact about four years ago if you search my channel SSD versus hard drive I have made a video that visually shows how fast the other ssds are compared to the hard drives hope it helps uh this is by geek Tech he's asking he says I have a question for you how much time a newly uh brought smartphone should be charged for the first time in order to get a healthy long lasting battery life uh I do keep getting similar questions like that and there's a lot of myth around this that if you get a new smartphone you have to charge it for 8 or 12 hours there's nothing like that when you get a new smartphone uh just use it normally I would say but personally I would say don't allow it to fall the battery life to fall below 20% when it's around 25% or so charge it fully to 100% that means you don't have to charge it for 8 or 12 hours generally most of the smartphones will charge fully in about 2 hours and after that just start using it normally and again uh Golden Rule is that uh don't discharge your battery completely that is one thing you should follow with lithium ion and Lithium Polymer batteries and that's these lithium ion and Lithium Polymer batteries are found on most smartphones hope it helps uh this is by akill he's asking is the Nexus 6p still worth in 2017 right now I'm using the Samsung J5 I'm considering the Nexus 6p zuk Z2 and the MI5 my priorities are camera battery and gaming a the Nexus 6p is still a decent phone but I would not recommend you the Nexus 6p now because it's running on the Snapdragon 810 chipset and uh when you push the Nexus 6p it tends to heat up quite a bit so that is still an issue with the Nexus 6p yeah I still like the Nexus 6p the camera is good uh I don't know what's your budget but I feel the OnePlus 3T might be or the even the OnePlus 3 might be a better option as of now compared to the Nexus 6 P this is by uh abila she's asking even though the Nvidia Tegra processors are having desktop great performance why are they not being implemented in the smartphone AB a very interesting question yes the Tegra processors are actually uh very good in terms of raw performance but one big problem they have is that they consume a uh too much power and for a smartphone or a mobile uh battery life consumption is very very important and also the Tegra processors do actually uh uh produce a lot more heat compared to other mobile processor so these are the two things that are actually very important when you're designing a smartphone it should consume low power and also the thermal uh heat that it generate should not be that high that is actually high on the Tegra SM uh what do you say processor that is the main reasons that we do not see Tegra processors on most smartphones next question is from Mr Xperia he's asking can you please compare the sound of the Bose qc35 to regular cans like the a m50x that's the Audio Technica m50x better or worse I wish to get myself a pair of uh ANC that means active noise cancellation headphones and want to get an idea of the sound signature compared to the regular headphones uh I own both the B qc35 as well as the Audio Technica m50x and I would say if I'm in my house uh and I just want to listen to Pure music I prefer the audio techn m50x but when I'm traveling and especially if I have to take flights I always go with the BOS qc35 because of the active noise cancellation the Bose qc35 actually amplifies the base a little bit compared to the m50x but in terms of highs and other frequencies I feel the Audio Technica m50x are are slightly better so if you're sort of purest you would prefer the sound signature of the m50x uh but again terms of noise cancellation obviously the Bose qc35 are in its own sort of a league so decide if you really want that noise cancellation yes the Bose qc35 is one of the best but if just sound uh what do you say purity of sound is the most highest thing then I would say I would lean over the m50x I hope it helps uh this is by uh Mr X he's asking can you recommend me a good Wi-Fi Range Extender that you have used recently or you feel as good that is for home use maximum two device will be used uh about 1 and a half years ago I got a tplink Wi-Fi Range Extender I even reviewed about it just check out on my channel and that's still working fine and even about 6 months ago one of my cousins who has actually a duplex house got a TP Link range extended but that one was having two external antennas I don't recall the model name and that one also is actually doing uh fine so yeah if you're having those range issues you can go with those TP Link uh range they are cheap and they get the job done uh so this is the last question and this is by Nick Johnson uh he's asking which headphone would you recommend the audio Technic m50x again or the gro sr60 uh purely in terms of sound quality and noise cancellation your thoughts on both in fact I own both the gro sr60 it's actually not sold in India uh but I love the gr sr60 uh one of my friends when he came from us gifted it to me I think so in US it sells for about $100 and I love the gr if it's just the pure sound quality I love the gr but again they are open here so if somebody is sitting beside you they can also hear the music so and in terms of noise isolation the gr Sr 60s won't isolate the sound completely compared to the m50x the m50x are closed SC so they cover your ear fully so in that way the noise isolation is better on the m50x but the sound signature is slightly very different from the m50x compared to the gro sr60 the sr60 uh being open uh open air uh actually the they sound the music sounds more lively and I actually enjoy listening to sr60 a lot more uh but lately I'm not using the sr60 a lot because I only listen to music at night and due to the nature of the sr60 open back the sound leaks my wife sort of gets annoyed uh but if I have to pick one just based on the sound what I love I would say I like the sound signature of the gr sr60 but sadly they are not sold in India in us they are available for about uh $100 so these were some of the questions for this 171st Tech Q&A session I hope uh uh some of these questions were helpful to you and guys if you're not subscribed to my YouTube channel hit that subscribe button and not only just subscribe that uh button hit that what do you say Bell icon because if you don't do that you won't be notified when I post a new video so guys
