Owner ng PC store pero sobrang luma ng PC niya 😓 Meet the HWS Team! _ Hardware Sugar

**Early Days of Gaming and PC Enthusiasm**

I remember being six years old when I first started playing games on my brother's computer, an original X-Com game, Dune, and other classic DOS games. At that young age, I was hooked on gaming, and it was all thanks to my brother Antoine who introduced me to the world of PC gaming. Although I didn't fully understand how DOS worked at the time, I knew I wanted to be a part of this exciting world.

As I grew older, my interest in gaming only intensified. By the age of three or four, I started playing games on a Dell Optiplex GX240 PC, which was also for school purposes. It wasn't long before I discovered Visual Boy, a Gameboy emulator, and NFS Underground. These experiences sparked a passion within me that would last a lifetime.

**Favorite Games and Gaming Memories**

Looking back, I don't usually replay games or watch movies, but there are some titles that stand out in my mind as favorites. Mass Effect is one such game that I've played multiple times, perhaps three to four times, because it was so engaging and addictive on both a gameplay and storytelling level. The series taught me a lot about ethics, people, and the importance of choosing between right and wrong. Even now, when considering games to play, Mass Effect trilogy often comes up as one of my top recommendations.

**Gaming Community and Future Aspirations**

I've also been part of gaming communities, such as Discord groups, where I'd talk about games with friends and share tips and strategies. However, while engaging in these discussions, I've come to realize that my favorite type of game is still a PC-exclusive experience. The sense of immersion and storytelling in PC games is unmatched.

In terms of the future, I'm excited to explore new gaming experiences. While I do appreciate RGB aesthetics and don't mind having it as an option when purchasing a new computer or upgrading existing hardware, I believe that functionality and performance should always come first. If a component is capable of delivering high-performance results without relying on unnecessary visual flair, then it's something I'd consider in my next build.

**Building and Customizing PCs**

One of the most interesting aspects of gaming is customizing and building one's own PC. For those who are new to this world, I would advise that you don't feel like you need to master the installation process yourself; rather, focus on learning about each component, what they do, and their relative value in terms of price and performance. Trustworthy computer shop technicians can handle these installations for you.

Moreover, I believe it's essential to research thoroughly before making a purchase, even if it means spending a bit more time learning about PC hardware and its various components. When buying from reputable sources like Hardware Sugar, it's crucial to have a basic understanding of the parts you're purchasing, especially when dealing with shop deals or promotions.

**Lessons Learned from Building PCs**

Lastly, I've come to realize that building PCs is not just about throwing money at components; there are many factors to consider, such as power consumption, noise levels, and long-term reliability. If done correctly, it's rewarding and fulfilling experience that teaches you a great deal about the world of PC gaming.

In particular, my own experiences with building PCs have shown me how difficult it can be for some people to find suitable parts, especially when trying to establish an optimal cooling system, such as an AIO (All-in-One) liquid cooler. In this instance, not taking the time to research thoroughly could result in disappointing performance or poor reliability.

Through my journey of building and customizing PCs, I've come to appreciate the importance of knowledge and research in the world of gaming hardware. Whether it's learning about individual components or understanding the overall architecture of a system, having that knowledge can make all the difference when choosing the right parts for your next build.

**A Word from the Author**

Lastly, I'd like to thank our top fans, Christian Espinosa and Rafael James, for their ongoing support. Your dedication to Hardware Sugar means the world to us, and we're grateful for every moment you spend with us on this platform.
