**A Day at the Cassie Clare Event: A Shadowhunter's Delight**

As I sat down to write this vlog, I couldn't help but feel a sense of exhaustion wash over me. Despite being delusionally tired, I knew I had to conclude my video and share with you all the amazing experiences I had at the Cassie Claire event. It was truly an unforgettable day filled with laughter, excitement, and of course, Shadowhunters.

My day began with lunch with a friend, which always sets the tone for a wonderful afternoon ahead. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of an epic adventure that would take me to Grey Street for dessert and into the heart of the Cassie Clare fandom. As I hung out with my friend, we chatted about books and life, but little did I know that Michael, another dear friend, had other plans in store for us.

As it turned out, Michael had arranged a meet-and-greet session with some of our favorite authors from the Shadowhunter Chronicles series. I was thrilled to see so many familiar faces, including Natalia, who always brings such warmth and kindness to every event we attend together. The energy in the room was electric, with everyone buzzing about their love for Cassie's books and the characters that have become like family to us.

Speaking of family, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Cassie herself at the event. Her kindness, humility, and generosity of spirit are qualities that make her truly a remarkable person. We spent hours chatting about everything from writing to life, and I was struck by how down-to-earth she is, despite being one of the most talented authors in the world today. As I was leaving the event, I stumbled upon a bookstore that caught my eye – Barnes & Noble. On a whim, I decided to treat myself to a new book, one that I'd been wanting to read for some time now. And so, I picked up City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat Pray Love. I've always been fascinated by Gilbert's writing style and the way she weaves stories together. This fiction novel promises to be a departure from her non-fiction works, and I'm excited to dive in and explore.

**A Collector's Edition: Chain of Gold**

Finally, as I was wrapping up my vlog, I had the pleasure of holding in my hands a stunning collector's edition of Chain of Gold – one that I bought for myself after meeting Cassie at the event. It features an exquisite design on the cover, which reads "For Emma See Player" in elegant script. This book holds a special place in my heart as it was, in fact, the first book I purchased in 2020.

think this is probably like my sixth or seventh time that I'm going to meet Kathy I'm just so elated to see her again it's been a hot minute since I've seen Kathy I'm only just realizing now but I think I haven't seen her since like 2018 but today is a good day because I'm going to see her again and I can tell her how much I loved a chain of gold and just all of my gushy feelings about this new series so I'm gonna be taking you guys along with me for this book signing and I hope you're looking forward to it if I didn't want to be my blog we already ate her I know your channel a shadow hi you guys I'm Sahara from the channel sincerely to hear you talk about books and Muslim representation and a whole bunch of stuff actually yeah we do it all such a queen and you have the chain of both events you guys were so entirety not already very excited and nervous all at the same time but it's going to be a good time married couples like that one for those of you who read informal devices you will definitely recognize you know will and Jeff and Tess are all in this focus as you know background characters but there are there and I think that they're definitely their interactions were really fun for me to write because I had to kind of step away from Memphis characters that we did from devices and come back to them as characters to our parents in this book and so one of the really fun things that I enjoyed was so Lucy has the ability to see ghosts and when were together ghosts in particular that she is fond of the boast of avoiding Jesse and he's in her bedroom talking to her and no one else can see her only she told me she can see them so her father comes in and he starts just talking for like who's been in Luke's here adorable nose and Jessie wait hysterical about her and Lucy it's like humiliated because her father was doing good stuff to her incredible boy but she can't tell him there's a boy there so I love that scene because it was such a fun experience to rank Villages dad and also the way in which the fact that he is a really loving dad is also super it I mean a very different like one of the things that those equally is they're very much opposites attracted as friends way you know they experience their emotions differently and very expressing themselves outward to very differently cordelia like you said it's very emotional mobility and creating I've done it before with boys the girls it's hard because of the stereotypes people often bring to the idea of a girl who is hopelessly in love as being somehow pitiable or we should feel sorry for her or she is doing something that's pathetic and so we pretty Lia I wanted to show like the bravery and the carnage and the strength of being in love with someone that doesn't love you back and you know that I'd like you have to complete you but she has it you know respect for herself and she is in no way weaker because of her love she knows that no love is in and of itself it could have big and even if this love isn't returned that's okay she's a person who has powerful abilities in love one day she loves someone else and so that was what I think I was thinking about what I came to writing Cordelia was how this you know like I've done you know with men we wrapped up at that strength you know we assumed that if they are hopelessly in love that actually cuts against a little bit the way that masculinity is often portrayed allowing them to have vulnerability and emotions with women who are considered to be emotional it was interesting to kind of very kind of try to carefully calibrate this idea that Virgilia feels these feelings that aren't returned but that that is a thing that makes her stronger and more kick-ass so I was in London researching the infernal device says so I was like going to replace it I was kind of trying to get a sense of like weird characters you know would be a one-way ticket to walk from point A to point B and I was good favorite Sarah and we wanted to to pick up some food and go have a picnic in the park so we bought some food and we both like in English you're making pies which are not like what we think of as five or like these little pastries that are stuff to like we go through the permit can be straightened all these ducks start surrounding us really so we're like throwing the pieces of and suddenly it Sarah like makes these so far got a
