**The Porsche 911 Turbo S: A New Era in Performance**
The Porsche 911 has always been synonymous with speed and agility, but with the introduction of the new turbocharged model, the company has raised the bar once again. This latest iteration boasts a plethora of upgrades that make it faster, more responsive, and more capable than ever before.
One of the most significant changes is the inlet port modifications, which have resulted in higher fuel pressure. This increase in power has allowed Porsche to develop a new turbocharger for this model, which replaces the one used in the previous generation. The turbocharger is designed to provide better performance and responsiveness, particularly when compared to the older car.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S also features a dynamic boost function, which leaves the throttle valve open for a brief period after you lift off the accelerator pedal. This allows the engine to maintain boost pressure, providing an immediate response whenever you need it. This feature is especially useful on the road, where it enables the driver to get back onto the power quickly and seamlessly.
The interior of the car features a rotary switch on the steering wheel, which allows you to select from four different modes: Normal, Sport, Sport+, and Individual. The individual mode offers customizable settings that can be tailored to suit your driving style. Additionally, there is a sport response button that provides an instant boost in power when pressed.
One of the most noticeable features of the 911 Turbo S is its acceleration. Big Al's comment that it "just stops along launching" highlights the car's incredible acceleration, which is thanks in part to its powerful engine and advanced transmission. The Porsche 911 Turbo S also has a unique character that sets it apart from other supercars.
The chassis of the 911 Turbo S remains largely unchanged, although there have been some detailed modifications to the steering system. This provides improved feedback and responsiveness, making the car even more agile and engaging to drive. Additionally, the car features Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, which is a standard fit on this model. This system enables advanced dynamic control of the chassis, providing exceptional handling and stability.
One of the most impressive aspects of the 911 Turbo S is its ability to handle corners. The car's four-wheel-drive system has been revised to provide improved traction and grip, particularly when cornering at high speeds. The clutch blades have also been modified to allow for quicker transfer of power between the front and rear axles.
In terms of handling, the 911 Turbo S is incredibly variable. This means that it can be driven aggressively or more conservatively, depending on the driver's preference. The car's soft edges provide a sense of security, making it feel less likely to snap out of control.
**Where Does It Fit In?**
The Porsche 911 Turbo S has created its own category in the world of supercars, and it is well-positioned as one of the most desirable cars in this class. With its rear seats and exceptional usability, it offers a unique combination that sets it apart from other high-performance cars.
In comparison to its competitors, the Audi R8 V10 and McLaren 570S, the 911 Turbo S has some key advantages. While the R8 V10 may have a more powerful engine, the 911 Turbo S is more agile and responsive in the corners. The McLaren 570S, on the other hand, may have a more refined chassis, but it lacks the rear seats and usability of the 911 Turbo S.
Overall, the Porsche 911 Turbo S is an exceptional car that offers unparalleled performance and driving experience. Its unique character and capabilities make it a compelling choice for anyone seeking a high-performance driving experience. Whether on the road or on track, the 911 Turbo S is sure to deliver an unforgettable ride.

version and we've got an extra 20 horsepower over the previous model went out to 580 that's come from modifications to the inlet ports your sister we now want much higher fuel pressure and for the first time the turbo s uses a different turbocharger to the turbo the Norman S version Porsche has introduced the dynamic boost function it basically leaves the throttle valve open for one and a half two seconds after you lift off the accelerator pedal which just means that the engine doesn't drop boost that means that when you get back on the power the boost is right there you get immediate instant response we've also got this 918 spyder inspired rotary switch on the steering wheel here which allows you to shuffle through the modes from normal to Sport Sport+ and then a customizable individual setting that works well in the middle of that switch there's a sport response button it's not much use on circuit but on the road it Prime's everything in fact the whole drivetrain for immediate response maximum performance that works really well for overtaking it's bizarre actually I think this engine lacks a bit of low down response you need four and a half thousand rpm before it really starts pulling we're at altitude here we're running low octane fuel maybe we should just give Porsche the benefit of the doubt for time Big Al's just feel massively fast with a huge swell of torque 7:53 mumbled a talk it just stops along launching one of these cars remains the most violent thing you can do on four wheels short of crashing into an oak tree so the chassis it's very much as before they haven't done an enormous amount of work with the chassis they've made some very detailed changes to the steering but still it's an e pass system so we don't have an enormous and our feel but at least it's really sharp really direct the chassis is so well controlled we've got Porsche dynamic chassis control its standard fit on this s model and it just means you've got really really good control on circuit as ever with these cars there's quite a big understeer window that would be annoying if it weren't for the fact that the car gives you options you can either trail brake heavily keep the front end pin to its line or you can back it into a corner get the rear axle swinging around and that just defeats all the understeer in these longer corners you're much better off just trimming your entry speed a little bit keeping the front end on its high line and then getting on the power early but certainly there's more understeer on the way into a corner then you get in the gt3 RS we're on a Pirelli PZero it's not even a course a let alone something really sticky like a Trofeo R or cup - which is what the gt3 RS is on so we don't have that same relentless bite but once you're into the corner and it's got massive massive mid corner grip so you can just lean on it so hard and of course massive traction as well they've actually made some small revisions to the four-wheel-drive system the clutch blades have been modified so the four-wheel drive system shuffles talk to the front axle even more immediately even more moving and then when you start to play around with the car as ever it's just so variable such soft edges it doesn't feel like it's going to snap on you which just means you can roll into a corner on the brakes stand on the power and just drive away I think it's some of the most fun you can have on track in a road car it's another the whole career range has gone turbocharged where does that leave this one the proper turbocharged model has it made it redundant absolutely not those Carreras those little 3 litre twin turbo engines they've been engineered to feel like normally aspirated engines very linear power delivery in this car we do one that big rush of boosting acceleration we want to know that it's turbocharged it's got a very very different character to those couriers and therefore it still has relevance it still has its own place in the 911 lineup whereas I leave the new turbo s in this kind of junior supercar category how does it stack up well it's the only one in that category with rear seats it's the most usable car in this class by a longshot for some people that will be all that matters still it's the Audi r8 v10 that's got the engine and it's the mclaren 570s that's got the chassis but the turbo s is now
