ice cream cruise this year we're expecting 2500 cars on our 2.2 m road course about 15,000 plus people here 3 days of Racing 3 days of burnouts we got roll racing on Sunday we got a puppy party we got M3 E36 uh this is a homebuilt with the s52 and itbs uh this is was built for time attack and road course um other than that I just for my attention I just wanted to add some rare pieces uh BBS wheels carbon fiber pieces and the interior um and yeah it's just uh it's a blast to drive on the street what's up my name is Danny Mendes and uh we're here at uh this year's ice cream Cruis in it's my 81 Toyota sarlot it um came to me as a shell a rolling shell and uh looking through Marketplace I found a re S2000 I was like I think that might fit in there and then uh so I went from a 50 horsepower engine to about a 200 had to use a Ford Explorer drive shaft with the 886 rear end to get it all working properly and as of recently this year I got it turboed and now she's putting down about 430 to do a second gear probably like 90 mph burnout let's get do it wow wow I am still in disbelief of how crazy the 3 days of non-stop entertainment Automotive Festival Car party the ice cream Cruise was overall donation that we raised for hetra and chariots for hope this year and as a reminder we raised $118,000 for 50 mile March last year so keep that in mind my goal was 140 originally at the event was 150,000 this is the first time our staff was allowed to donate their pay to go towards the overall donation amount and our staff donated $7,100 to go towards the total we also had a generous donation from Jay at ignite racing fields of $5,000 we had a $500 donation from slm Autocare and then I rounded up a little bit to make the overall donation amount $151,300 this is just mind-blowing we're literally putting that money directly back into the Omaha community our people our friends our neighbors are all going to benefit from this and it's all because of our amazing car show we just had so thank you guys thank you to our sponsors thank you to the staff thank you to the track I could not have done it without you and we could not have raised this money without everyone that has something to do with ice cream creu so thank you thank you thank you incredible and the cherry on top skids for kids raised $122,000 that they used to buy toys the day after iceing cruise and I got to go see this firsthand in person for the first time went over to Omaha Children's Hospital and saw the donation in person check this out I've never been able to stop by to see the toys that skids for kids collect at ice cream Cruise let me show you what they collected oh my gosh this is absolutely insane wow all right so where are these toys going ladies they are going to all of our kids that are either inpatient or outpatient um are restocking our playrooms prizes for kids I mean it's going to stock us for a long time appreciate awesome awesome how how much is this compared to what we brought over last year last year we had a part and a half of toys are you serious now we have holy cow this is our biggest single donation is it that's amazing and this puts us at $1,000 holy cow $110,000
