**Displaying Ultra-Fast Response Times**
The panel of this monitor is impressive to behold, with a response time set to "ultra fast" that delivers excellent results. I've got the response time set to ultra fast uh, the refresh rate you can get it to display that if you want i just turned it on for the purposes of my review here and we have just a few other menus so professional that's just our color modes we've got standard which is the default srgb and all those others you can go and test those out. Picture settings you can adjust that of course to your own personal preference.
**Color Modes and Settings**
Picture in picture mode the on-screen display controls themselves the settings for it so the transparency timeout and other settings in here so it's pretty straightforward the important one is to make sure you go and enable that adaptive sync if you want to run freesync and g-sync. So this monitor does have two built-in speakers they're not amazing speakers at all as you'd expect from a monitor i highly recommend you get some external decent speakers but here's a sample of them at 100 volume just to give you an idea of what to expect.
**Performance and Features**
So we really do have another winner here when it comes to this panel i'm impressed so good color gamut coverage the brightness it only came out to be 400 nets or close to so not the 500 they claimed but even at 400 i think for indoor use which 95 of the people going to be using this for unless you've got a bright window right next to you with sun streaming into the screen it shouldn't actually be an issue anti-glare coating is great and it is a flat panel now response time is excellent input lag and anything like that is all good response is great so if you're gonna game on it it's gonna be fantastic for that but be warned if you intend to play modern aaa titles at maximum settings at the native screen resolution you are going to need a bit of a beast of a pc to be able to run through this even with my rtx 3080 ti and a 12 900 i can only get around 100 frames per second with medium settings here with far cry 6.
**Gaming Performance**
So yeah be prepared to have to fork out to get a really good gpu to run this resolution with those games but of course older titles like counter strike even with lower spec cards of course then you'll be able to run happily 144 frames per second matching that refresh rate you can of course lower the resolution down you've got various different options so we have inbuilt speakers that um they're not wonderful they've got a little bit of bass to them so they're better than nothing of course so imagine you're still waiting for your external 2.1 setup then it will do until that arrives there.
**Connectivity and Compatibility**
So you've got the speakers so it's good because a lot of monitors don't even have type c port i really actually like that it's there because i can plug in some of my laptops even mobile phones with their desktop modes straight into it one cable everything's on screen there with the display out and it is charging my device at the same time up to 90 watts however it does have a limitation i found out that it will only do 60 hertz and the display port was the only port that i could get 144 hertz refresh rate out of this monitor too as well so if you happen to have tech that doesn't have a display port or most gpus in fact all gpus will have that on there for powerful ones anyway so i don't really think that's a bit of an issue i think that's really a non-issue.
**Conclusion**
That was the only one i could get out but overall a fantastic screen lots on offer here picture in picture mode hdr 402 with it and of course that 144 hertz so thank you so much for watching my review here of innocence 40 c1r
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enchris here with a mammoth monitor as you can see i could barely fit this in the studio on the table here at least and get it in my shot it's called the innocent 40 c1r this is really a gaming monitor because it's an ultra wide at 21 9 aspect ratio with a 3440 by 1440p resolution 144 refresh rate it has hdr 400 support one millisecond greater graze response time and we do get type c with this so one single type c port that can connect up with display but also power devices up to 90 watts with it it's got dual built-in speakers in this and it does have amd freesync support and nvidia g-sync support it's got an anti-glare coating and it's a completely flat display here so let's find out in this review why i think this is actually a really decent monitor just like the 27 inch version that i reviewed from innocent so inside the box we have a user manual displayport cable power cable type c cable and some screws here now those screws there are for using it if you wanted to vesa mount this on a bracket or a different stand and speaking of stands we do have that in the box of course now it's all made out of metal there's a screw in the mounting point quality is good this weighs a lot to ensure that that monitor is not going to tip over then the stand for it which has plastic on the outside there is a gap here for cable management and it is metal as well so good quality this stand here and the components they have used on the back there's four screws so you can remove those four screws and store the extenders and then visa mount this on a stand and arm or wall mount whatever you want to do now i'm going to put the supplied stand here in so you simply just need to line it up and clip it into the top part first and then push it down it will clip into place you hear a little click there and that's secured and i'll plug for the monitor so this is a common plug very easy to source it is the same that tower pc power supply units use and all of our inputs here so we have two hdmi 2.0 displayport 1.4 a now if you want to get the 144 hertz maximum out of this you do have to use the display port i found out and then a type c port now this type c port it does output 60 watts and then an audio 3.5 millimeter out either side there are these tiny little speakers i'll give you a sample of them later on but monitor speakers they aren't really that good you'll probably be using your own external speakers anyway and down below we do have our buttons here for the on-screen controls and the power button with the stand you're able to drop the monitor right down that's the lowest position and you can raise it right up really quite high and we do have a tilt so you're able to tilt it up quite a bit and then down and then we have a left and right movement to it as well which is really good a lot of stands don't actually offer that kind of flexibility when it comes to the movements the angles and the tilt that you're able to do with it so this 40-inch screen here is an ips panel it has an anti-glare coating to it and it's not curved 100 flat and the bezels top left and right are excellent they're not that large at all it's just the bottom bezel which is slightly larger but overall i think it has excellent bezels and looks great the screen's brightness measured with my spyder x pro is 392 nits we do have an srgb coverage here gamut of 98 ntsc is 78 adobe rgb is 83 and then p3 83 also so good brightness it does also support hdr 400 so i can confirm that the type c port is working well it's actually up to 90 watts it's powering my laptop and i do get display out and now i've moved over to a mini pc but this is no ordinary mini pc it's an intel nook now this has the 12 900 64 gigabytes of ram and a rtx 3080 ti and using that display port cable was the only cable that i could get 144 hertz out of i could not reach 144 hertz with hdmi for some reason i'm seeing a very very tiny a little bit of ghosting just a little bit of a trailing image behind that ufo but it is super minimal for this resolution and at 144 frames per second and of course 144 hertz it's looking very good so minimal ghosting with this panel but yes there is a tiny little bit now the screen because it's so large it's 40 inches and this well relatively high resolution we can run two panels side by side as you can see here that i do have with chrome so it is going to be excellent for productivity not just for gaming at 144 hertz and what about video editing on a monitor like this well i absolutely love it because look at all this space we've got the screen real estate this resolution well it's not 4k gives me ample room here for editing my videos so i've got my timeline there with a lot of space and right there the preview window right in the middle really large and just makes it so much easier and more productive i can just see everything so good versus say a smaller 27 inch monitor like the one i reviewed also from innocent and the on-screen display here for all the options we get with this monitor so i haven't messed about with those ones right there but this is a very important setting adaptive sync if you do have a g-sync compatible gpu or freesync compatible gpu which most people probably will especially if you're gaming then you need to turn that on if you want to use g-sync or freesync so i've got it on here i've got the response time set to ultra fast uh the refresh rate you can get it to display that if you want i just turned it on for the purposes of my review here and we have just a few other menus so professional that's just our color modes we've got standard which is the default srgb and all those others you can go and test those out picture settings you can adjust that of course to your own personal preference picture in picture mode the on-screen display controls themselves the settings for it so the transparency timeout and other settings in here so it's pretty straightforward the use which 95 of the people going to be using this for unless you've got a bright window right next to you with sun streaming into the screen it shouldn't actually be an issue anti-glare coating is great and it is a flat panel now response time is excellent input lag and anything like that is all good response is great so if you're gonna game on it it's gonna be fantastic for that but be warned if you intend to play modern aaa titles at maximum settings at the native screen resolution you are going to need a bit of a beast of a pc to be able to run through this even with my rtx 3080 ti and a 12 900 i can only get around 100 frames per second with medium settings here with far cry 6. so yeah be prepared to have to fork out to get a really good gpu to run this resolution with those games but of course older titles like counter strike even with lower spec cards of course then you'll be able to run happily 144 frames per second matching that refresh rate you can of course lower the resolution down you've got various different options so we have inbuilt speakers that um they're not wonderful they've got a little bit of bass to them so they're better than nothing of course so
