mean obviously tom is in the lead by quite a bit right now because royce had a bad day a couple days ago but it could be anybody's game because anything can happen on this drive let's hit the road see we run into maybe hop in some cars go figure we find the cleanest crew at o'reilly's makes sense you get a push pitch what is going on good no slave yeah it's like blew up last night those are illegal anyway all right cool so the clutch is locked up all the time i either crank it in gear and take off or get a push start from a stop this is a good day to follow no kidding it's gonna be not a good day to ride though we'll be honest i'm gonna be a good day to ride that challenge accepted it really got me good back there only on race week do you use a seven second car pulling a trailer to push start your nascar truck it's gonna be an interesting day so what maneuver we're about to pull off here we're either getting a push or i'm gonna strike it crank it on the starter in gear and it's like you're going to want to brace yourself because it's a low rpm it's all right sounds good to me now i know what the push is okay i wasn't sure what i needed to brace so it sounds so good hmm here comes a little bit further what do you think um that was just the right amount of time to be in this thing i had to take my shoe off i was a little cramped i adjusted my jacket a little bit for my lumbar yeah and the headsets are a lifesaver thank god this thing's uh brute the push though is very smooth nice cushion i was trying to be as gentle as it could be this is pretty awesome now i got the full experience first and probably last time i'll ever ride in a nascar trick going down the highway unless they bring it out on another race week it's time to get the hell out of here if it wasn't obvious when i was riding in there the clutch is basically gone in this car so kevin's been having to rev match it into gear so to get started they push it up to speed so you can get it into first gear and the the towels were a good touch because the metal on metal we would be breaking our necks but it wasn't that bad we just entered wichita kansas that means we're just a few hours from tulsa it's gonna take us a little bit longer than normal but racing starts at 3 30 so we have to be there and we got plenty of time good thing we left early we got the dale truck all lined up here ready to get push started by leroy hopefully he makes it the next couple hundred miles because that's the end of the trip and the biggest challenge of this is just making it to the end we're almost there what's up is just loose yeah the fitting was loose really loose i mean that's but unfortunately we've been pumping fuel out you guys smell any fuel back there all right looks like we're good to get back on the road hopefully just get like another mile down the road and get royce some fuel he made it to a gas pump under his own power so that's good so royce has a little bit of a crack in the oil pan on the mustang they've been trying to make a diaper and patch it and it's been doing okay but that diaper has been gone for a little while so they're gonna make a new one up patch it up and see if we can get to the track you just had to top up with oil a little bit ago uh so we got about like i said a little over 100 miles he's just got to get there and make a pass but he's got to get there trailer burn out but yeah he's got to get he's got about a little over 100 miles so he's got to get there so that's what we're trying to that's what they're trying to do right now i am going to swap places with crew chief here crew chief blaine's let me get the passenger seat all right all right don't let him give you give you a hard time over there all right hey man how's it going what's good how you doing they don't have a trailer but a wagon seems to work pretty well for all their stuff and i like wagons so if i ever do raceway i think wagons what's gonna need to happen i love that this thing's a this thing's a stick and it's a wagon because yeah when i first saw this thing in june i was like there's that's obviously it's an auto car obviously so i got old chevy no way last thing i thought was it was going to be a stick most people don't think about it being a stick you know like you say it doesn't even come to mind that it'd be a spaceship car yeah put an automatic in it get down the highway yeah so you said you started uh doing car stuff with with with wayne there were you about five yeah oh yeah well before then i mean he came with me when he was in a he was with us and when we were racing in a we were running outlaw 10-5 stuff he was in the crib while we were racing and you taught him how to weld when he was what i taught him out of weld when he was six ish six ish yeah it may be a little earlier than that when i say that well i mean like make a puddle and put some rod in it right he got the concept that he did it himself i gotta tell you that so i was putting shocks on it you're tired right and uh he was doing tires and everything i was putting shocks on your roof gets our car what are you doing putting shocks on well you're putting them in the wrong hole and i look at them like what are you talking about dude we're at the racetrack they got to go in the top hole i had him in the bottom hole you're so he corrected you he corrected me yeah yeah yeah then after that run we got back because he video he's looking at video when i'm looking at data right and he's like hey something's wrong the rear end didn't drop it didn't plant that tire what so i zoomed in on the picture and we got it on a slow-mo coach's app thing so we can slow it way down to eight speed and you can see it just bounced off the shock and wind so he crawls under there is like shocks are wrong and the shock adjustments are you you're kidding no no no that's correct he knows what the shock adjustments need to be and he knew they were wrong just by getting under there yeah they're pretty simple but yeah gotcha yeah hey where's that tub of bolts at we lost the shifter the ship the lower bolt the shifter came out did you find the bowl plane yeah it's right here it's just sitting right here on the top luckily i just turned the corner and i had no like it was just popping like i was like the linkage didn't fall off there's only just to fall off did you get it like tight did you crank on it tight yeah all right if i miss a shift it's your problem well blaine you want to trade back it don't matter all right if you want to keep going it's fine let me see what the boy hey you want me you're blank obviously all right i'm gonna get in here then all right blaine the crew chief over here said i kind of like the air conditioning i'm getting some homework done so you can keep in the wagon so we're gonna stay in the wagon blane got the shifter fixed we're gonna stay in the wagon we should have maybe 45 minutes to an hour left so not very long hopefully we get there no issues and uh royce's car that he'd just checked the diaper on the car they put on there looks fine so should be leaking anything we should be able to make it there no problem i'm in line back here oh that's probably so you could go to whichever one opens up yeah whatever well we're about four minutes from the track uh we want to stop at a car wash so royce could clean the bottom of his car from all the oil so it doesn't get on track that's what we're doing our car wash here i'm gonna take my seat back from the crew chief in the van where he gets some food in the head of the track these cars have made it over a thousand miles at this point i'll tell you exactly what it is when we get to the track but it's impressive this car runs sevens and he's gone well over a thousand miles and it's still here he's got a little issues today that being said but it's still here and he's probably gonna make it to the track unless something catches catastrophic happens within the next like 10 miles so we're gonna hit the track and how do you like it in there it's pretty nice in there yeah the air conditioning is nice yeah a lot we got wi-fi for your school and all that stuff yeah all right well go make sure your car is clean all right we'll keep we made it back we are in tulsa for day five every car that you see behind me in the pits and in the staging lanes have driven over 1200 miles in the past five days 1280 miles according to a trip odometer on the race fan so we've gotten over 1200 miles raced at four different tracks back here at this one for the last day all you have to do is break the beans that's really all they have to do i know a lot of these guys are gonna try to try i know a lot of these guys are gonna try to go make good passes and a lot of these guys are gonna turn it up they made it back here they can turn it up they don't care if they blow up they have trailers just right over there if they blow up they're fine i'm assuming we're gonna see some really fast passes out of these cars tonight faster than we've seen all week hopefully i can't emphasize this enough just finishing race week is a huge accomplishment over 1200 miles this time through five race days four different tracks and these guys made it so i don't i any one of these racers i don't care if you drive a car that put it turned in 14s all week or if you're somebody like tom royce that did sevens i don't care you did it you're here that's awesome that being said i'm gonna walk around the pits find some of our friends find some of the racers see how they made on the last drive and uh any struggles on the road that type of stuff and we'll take you some racing action in about 30 minutes here how the chevette boys do today good good no troubles on the road nothing no sir nice good good what are we hoping for out of the car today are you going to try out the wick or what he's going to turn her up what are you hoping for brian i think i'm in second so i think i can tie it up i can secure it with a good motor pass what like what would that be wise uh like 1060. something like that okay yeah the top the top uh i think three guys two of them got hurt right there at the end oh dang all right i wouldn't wish that on anybody no of course not but uh so i think the next one down is a green charger i think she's like 1080s or something like that so do you think you could probably see right here it was over 2 30. a little warm not quite 260 or 70 something like that but a little warm it was angry are you actually going to make a pass or is the car kind of hurt hurt a little i think what i'm going to do i've got it have an na tune loaded in it on a one bar maps these are bits now everybody most people should know this is a turbo car but it has a one bar map sensor that's running it i am gonna just go up disconnect the intake tube and literally i want to go full setting today just because i'm curious what it'll do okay uh then i'm going to come back around i've kind of messed with the three-bar sensor and that tune and i'm making headway so we might see another 10 second pass before we're done tonight okay all i want to see is this thing to finish and i'll be happy i'm o's all weekend so i'm not going to win but i'm happy with it for for a stock 5-3 it's doing perfectly fine so but cruising the style looking good too yeah appreciate it looking forward to see you just how quick this goes all right so we're down for a little bit for some oil and water on the top end they can run the left lane but the shutdown has oil and water in the middle of it which means this is not safe for stopping crossing our fingers that we're gonna be able to run but if it's too bad it's already like 8 45 so they might just call it i hope not because we got a few cars we really bittersweet day here in great bend kansas it is the last drive day here on race week we got another 300 miles back to tulsa oklahoma for the last race day by the end of this video you guys are going to know who takes home the win in each of the classes and who is going to win the 15 000 prize for the fastest overall average for the week we're thinking i mean obviously tom is in the lead by quite a bit right now because royce had a bad day a couple days ago but it could be anybody's game because anything can happen on this drive let's hit the road see we run into maybe hop in some cars go figure we find the cleanest crew at o'reilly's makes sense you get a push pitch what is going on good no slave yeah it's like blew up last night those are illegal anyway all right cool so the clutch is locked up all the time i either crank it in gear and take off or get a push start from a stop this is a good day to follow no kidding it's gonna be not a good day to ride though we'll be honest i'm gonna be a good day to ride that challenge accepted it really got me good back there only on race week do you use a seven second car pulling a trailer to push start your nascar truck it's gonna be an interesting day so what maneuver we're about to pull off here we're either getting a push or i'm gonna strike it crank it on the starter in gear and it's like you're going to want to brace yourself because it's a low rpm it's all right sounds good to me now i know what the push is okay i wasn't sure what i needed to brace so it sounds so good hmm here comes a little bit further what do you think um that was just the right amount of time to be in this thing i had to take my shoe off i was a little cramped i adjusted my jacket a little bit for my lumbar yeah and the headsets are a lifesaver thank god this thing's uh brute the push though is very smooth nice cushion i was trying to be as gentle as it could be this is pretty awesome now i got the full experience first and probably last time i'll ever ride in a nascar trick going down the highway unless they bring it out on another race week it's time to get the hell out of here if it wasn't obvious when i was riding in there the clutch is basically gone in this car so kevin's been having to rev match it into gear so to get started they push it up to speed so you can get it into first gear and the the towels were a good touch because the metal on metal we would be breaking our necks but it wasn't that bad we just entered wichita kansas that means we're just a few hours from tulsa it's gonna take us a little bit longer than normal but racing starts at 3 30 so we have to be there and we got plenty of time good thing we left early we got the dale truck all lined up here ready to get push started by leroy hopefully he makes it the next couple hundred miles because that's the end of the trip and the biggest challenge of this is just making it to the end we're almost there what's up is just loose yeah the fitting was loose really loose i mean that's but unfortunately we've been pumping fuel out you guys smell any fuel back there all right looks like we're good to get back on the road hopefully just get like another mile down the road and get royce some fuel he made it to a gas pump under his own power so that's good so royce has a little bit of a crack in the oil pan on the mustang they've been trying to make a diaper and patch it and it's been doing okay but that diaper has been gone for a little while so they're gonna make a new one up patch it up and see if we can get to the track you just had to top up with oil a little bit ago uh so we got about like i said a little over 100 miles he's just got to get there and make a pass but he's got to get there trailer burn out but yeah he's got to get he's got about a little over 100 miles so he's got to get there so that's what we're trying to that's what they're trying to do right now i am going to swap places with crew chief here crew chief blaine's let me get the passenger seat all right all right don't let him give you give you a hard time over there all right hey man how's it going what's good how you doing they don't have a trailer but a wagon seems to work pretty well for all their stuff and i like wagons so if i ever do raceway i think wagons what's gonna need to happen i love that this thing's a this thing's a stick and it's a wagon because yeah when i first saw this thing in june i was like there's that's obviously it's an auto car obviously so i got old chevy no way last thing i thought was it was going to be a stick most people don't think about it being a stick you know like you say it doesn't even come to mind that it'd be a spaceship car yeah put an automatic in it get down the highway yeah so you said you started uh doing car stuff with with with wayne there were you about five yeah oh yeah well before then i mean he came with me when he was in a he was with us and when we were racing in a we were running outlaw 10-5 stuff he was in the crib while we were racing and you taught him how to weld when he was what i taught him out of weld when he was six ish six ish yeah it may be a little earlier than that when i say that well i mean like make a puddle and put some rod in it right he got the concept that he did it himself i gotta tell you that so i was putting shocks on it you're tired right and uh he was doing tires and everything i was putting shocks on your roof gets our car what are you doing putting shocks on well you're putting them in the wrong hole and i look at them like what are you talking about dude we're at the racetrack they got to go in the top hole i had him in the bottom hole you're so he corrected you he corrected me yeah yeah yeah then after that run we got back because he video he's looking at video when i'm looking at data right and he's like hey something's wrong the rear end didn't drop it didn't plant that tire what so i zoomed in on the picture and we got it on a slow-mo coach's app thing so we can slow it way down to eight speed and you can see it just bounced off the shock and wind so he crawls under there is like shocks are wrong and the shock adjustments are you you're kidding no no no that's correct he knows what the shock adjustments need to be and he knew they were wrong just by getting under there yeah they're pretty simple but yeah gotcha yeah hey where's that tub of bolts at we lost the shifter the ship the lower bolt the shifter came out did you find the bowl plane yeah it's right here it's just sitting right here on the top luckily i just turned the corner and i had no like it was just popping like i was like the linkage didn't fall off there's only just to fall off did you get it like tight did you crank on it tight yeah all right if i miss a shift it's your problem well blaine you want to trade back it don't matter all right if you want to keep going it's fine let me see what the boy hey you want me you're blank obviously all right i'm gonna get in here then all right blaine the crew chief over here said i kind of like the air conditioning i'm getting some homework done so you can keep in the wagon so we're gonna stay in the wagon blane got the shifter fixed we're gonna stay in the wagon we should have maybe 45 minutes to an hour left so not very long hopefully we get there no issues and uh royce's car that he'd just checked the diaper on the car they put on there looks fine so should be leaking anything we should be able to make it there no problem i'm in line back here oh that's probably so you could go to whichever one opens up yeah whatever well we're about four minutes from the track uh we want to stop at a car wash so royce could clean the bottom of his car from all the oil so it doesn't get on track that's what we're doing our car wash here i'm gonna take my seat back from the crew chief in the van where he gets some food in the head of the track these cars have made it over a thousand miles at this point i'll tell you exactly what it is when we get to the track but it's impressive this car runs sevens and he's gone well over a thousand miles and it's still here he's got a little issues today that being said but it's still here and he's probably gonna make it to the track unless something catches catastrophic happens within the next like 10 miles so we're gonna hit the track and how do you like it in there it's pretty nice in there yeah the air conditioning is nice yeah a lot we got wi-fi for your school and all that stuff yeah all right well go make sure your car is clean all right we'll keep we made it back we are in tulsa for day five every car that you see behind me in the pits and in the staging lanes have driven over 1200 miles in the past five days 1280 miles according to a trip odometer on the race fan so we've gotten over 1200 miles raced at four different tracks back here at this one for the last day all you have to do is break the beans that's really all they have to do i know a lot of these guys are gonna try to try i know a lot of these guys are gonna try to go make good passes and a lot of these guys are gonna turn it up they made it back here they can turn it up they don't care if they blow up they have trailers just right over there if they blow up they're fine i'm assuming we're gonna see some really fast passes out of these cars tonight faster than we've seen all week hopefully i can't emphasize this enough just finishing race week is a huge accomplishment over 1200 miles this time through five race days four different tracks and these guys made it so i don't i any one of these racers i don't care if you drive a car that put it turned in 14s all week or if you're somebody like tom royce that did sevens i don't care you did it you're here that's awesome that being said i'm gonna walk around the pits find some of our friends find some of the racers see how they made on the last drive and uh any struggles on the road that type of stuff and we'll take you some racing action in about 30 minutes here how the chevette boys do today good good no troubles on the road nothing no sir nice good good what are we hoping for out of the car today are you going to try out the wick or what he's going to turn her up what are you hoping for brian i think i'm in second so i think i can tie it up i can secure it with a good 30. a little warm not quite 260 or 70 something like that but a little warm it was angry are you actually going to make a pass or is the car kind of hurt hurt a little i think what i'm going to do i've got it have an na tune loaded in it on a one bar maps these are bits now everybody most people should know this is a turbo car but it has a one bar map sensor that's running it i am gonna just go up disconnect the intake tube and literally i want to go full setting today just because i'm curious what it'll do okay uh then i'm going to come back around i've kind of messed with the three-bar sensor and that tune and i'm making headway so we might see another 10 second pass before we're done tonight okay all i want to see is this thing to finish and i'll be happy i'm sure you will too but going to win but i'm happy with it for for a stock 5-3 it's doing perfectly fine so but cruising the style looking good too yeah appreciate it looking forward to see you next year and with the family we're down for a little bit for some oil and water on the top end they can run the left lane but the shutdown has oil and water in the middle of it which means this is not safe for stopping crossing our fingers that we're gonna be able to run but if it's too bad it's already like 8 45 so they might just call it i hope not because we got a few cars we really want to see around one more time come
