The Beauty of Subscription Boxes: Unboxing and Reviewing "Booy" and "Skin and Makeup Focus"
I am absolutely thrilled to receive my latest subscription boxes, both from "Booy" and "Skin and Makeup Focus". These two boxes cater to different areas of my personality, one focused on skincare and makeup, the other on book-related content. In this article, I will delve into each box, sharing my thoughts and reactions to the products and surprises contained within.
First up is the "Booy" subscription box, which promises a curated selection of full-size products tailored to enhance my daily beauty routine. The packaging was beautifully presented, with a delightful pink and polka dot design that immediately caught my eye. Upon opening the box, I found four sample-sized items that would allow me to try out new products before investing in full sizes. Among these samples was an activating serum, balancing water, a balancing emulsion, and a concentrated ginseng renewing cream – all of which sounded like essential skincare tools for someone like me who's always on the lookout for ways to improve my skin care routine.
As I sniffed each item, I detected a refreshing scent that reminded me of lemons and honey. The lemon sparkling peeling gel was an absolute highlight, with its promise to exfoliate and remove waste from my pores. While it seemed like it could be used on both the face and body, I couldn't wait to test it out on my skin and see how it fared.
The "Booy" box also included a full-size wash-off pack called Bry Yellow So Fresh So Wonderful, which looked suspiciously like a Lush product. The packaging was undeniably inspired by the iconic brand, but upon closer inspection, I realized that this was indeed an original design. I was excited to try out this face cleanser, particularly with its paddle-like applicator that seemed designed for use as a face mask.
Last but not least, there was the blemish-out Pink Spot treatment, which I desperately needed due to my recent struggles with acne. The compact packaging and adorable design made me feel like I was getting a luxurious product, even though it was actually a cleverly packaged spot treatment that promised to dry out pesky pimples.
Beyond the individual products, what truly impressed me about the "Booy" box was its attention to detail in curating a selection of items tailored to my needs. From skincare tools like exfoliants and masks to makeup essentials, this box had it all – and I couldn't wait to get started using each item.
Next up is the "Skin and Makeup Focus" subscription box, which promises to deliver full-size products that will elevate my daily beauty routine. As a bookworm who also loves skincare, I was excited to see how this box would balance my dual interests. The packaging itself was stunning – crisp white and sleek black with a subtle scent that hinted at fresh flowers.
The first item I pulled out of the box was a full-size moisturizing cream that promised deep nourishment for dry skin. I was immediately drawn to its elegant design, which felt like something from a luxury skincare brand. The cream itself smelled lovely – rich and floral without being overpowering – and I couldn't wait to test it out.
Further on in the box, I found an acne pimple Master Patch that caught my eye. With its cleverly designed shape that could be applied to individual blemishes, this patch seemed like a game-changer for those of us struggling with persistent skin issues. I was excited to try it out and see how effective it would be.
Next up was a sheet mask – the deep moisturizing cream one, which promised to quench my parched skin on particularly dry days. As someone who loves sheet masks, this was an absolute highlight for me. The packaging itself was beautifully designed, with delicate patterns that added to its overall sense of luxury.
Finally, there was a full-size blemish spot treatment called Acne Spot, which seemed like just what I needed due to my recent skin struggles. With its simple yet elegant design and subtle scent, this product felt like a trustworthy companion in the fight against acne – and I couldn't wait to put it to the test.
Throughout both boxes, I was struck by the attention to detail and care that went into curating each selection of products. From skincare tools to makeup essentials, these boxes promised to deliver a world-class beauty experience – one that I could hardly wait to explore in more depth.

that celebrates Black authors so I believe this is always representing people of color specifically from the African-American Community which I think is really really awesome so I'm excited to feature this so let's just go ahead and Jump Right In This is a box that has a curated novel and then the rest of the items inside the Box are inspired by the novel so I'm going to start and show off the book and then I'm going to read off the theme and then show off the rest of the items in the box so yes so the book that is in this box is piecing me together by Renee Watson and this follows our main hair Jade and she lives in a poor neighborhood in town and she has been taught her whole life to take advantage of every opportunity that's given to her she goes to a private school and at the beginning of this novel she joins a mentorship program but she finds that just because her Mentor which is the same high school as her and is black doesn't necessarily mean that she understands where Jade is coming from this is a novel that seems to be all about self-discovery identity and kind of a young girl finding her place in the world Bally highlighting a lot on race and racial identity this sounds like a really powerful and important an story I'm really excited to have it in my collection this sounds really really really good so this is the book that came in the box so the theme for this month's box is this is me which is inspired by that novel the first thing included in the box is this remember York sticker this is pulled directly from the story as there is a prominent character in the novel of an enslaved uh black man named York York was an enslaved man who was incredibly important in Louis and Clark's uh journey and their Discovery and documentation of the Americas however he is rarely told in that exploration so this sticker is designed to both remember him raise awareness about him and it's also in honor of Black History Month as he was a very prominent and important historical black figure in America so this is really really awesome also two really incredible pieces uh there's this print and there's this pin I'm actually reading directly from the card provided in the Box just to make sure one I understand why everything was chosen because everything was chosen with such care but to also make sure that I'm speaking and try to represent why each item was specifically chosen to represent uh this particular month which I just want to make sure I'm doing to the best of my ability item is this revolutionary girl pin and this is due to a running theme within the black lives matter movement it's also meant to represent the main protagonist in this novel who wants to use art and uh her expression to make change within her community in the World At Large which I think is really really awesome this pin is super super cool um and I'm EXC excited to have it and also understand the meaning behind it this particular message is also represented in
