**NCIX Tech Tips: New Arrivals - Unboxing and Review**

In this episode of NCIX Tech Tips, we’re trying something a bit different. Instead of our usual unboxings and tech tips, we’re giving you a rundown of the latest **new arrivals** at NCIX. As a retailer, we get a lot of new products on our website, and while some might not be brand new to the tech world, they are definitely new to our catalog. So, let’s dive into what’s fresh and exciting!

### 1. Intel Compute Stick: A Compact Computing Solution

The first product on our list is the **Intel Compute Stick**. This is essentially an extremely compact and thin desktop HDMI dongle that can turn any TV or monitor with an HDMI input into a full-fledged computer. While we’ve featured this device before, this version has some notable upgrades.

- **Inside and Out**: Instead of using an Atom CPU, the new Compute Stick features a **Core M3 CPU**, double the storage at 64GB (with micro SD expansion), Wireless AC, Bluetooth 4.2, and 4GB DDR3 RAM instead of the previous 2GB. It also now runs on **Windows 10** instead of Windows 8.1.

- **Power Brick**: The Compute Stick is powered by a new power brick via a Type-C to Type-C cable. The reversible nature of Type-C is a huge plus, and it allows you to plug in wired devices like your mouse or keyboard directly into the power brick, which functions as if it were connected to the Compute Stick itself.

- **Versatility**: With its dual-core processor, this device can handle most tasks that a desktop or laptop can, such as word processing, spreadsheets, browsing, and even high-def video consumption. However, it’s not powerful enough for graphic-intensive games or video editing.

The Intel Compute Stick is extremely portable and offers both **Bluetooth** and **wired connectivity** options. While you’ll need to bring your own peripherals if you go wireless, having extra devices ready can save you hassle at home or in the office.

### 2. Quick Charge Products: Faster Charging Made Easy

Next up are some quick charge products that promise faster and more efficient charging for all your smart devices.

#### a) Five-Port USB Charger

This **five-port USB charger** is perfect for travelers or anyone with multiple devices to charge at once. Four ports offer standard 2Amp charge output, while the fifth port on the bottom is **Qualcomm-certified Quick Charge 2.0**. Compact and slightly bigger than a deck of cards, this charger can handle all your devices simultaneously.

#### b) Single-Port USB Quick Charge 3.0 Travel Adapter

For those who want maximum charging speed, the **single-port USB Quick Charge 3.0 travel adapter** is an excellent choice. It offers 80% faster charging than standard USB and is backward compatible with older devices like phones or tablets. These chargers are also protected against overcurrent, overcharging, and overheating to keep your devices safe.

### 3. TP-Link Smart Plug: Turn Devices On and Off Remotely

The **TP-Link Smart Plug** is an easy-to-set-up device that allows you to control any electrical appliance from your phone. Simply plug in a lamp, fan, or even your Christmas tree into the smart plug, then connect it to a wall outlet. With the **Cassa app**, you can turn devices on and off without being near them—perfect for remote access.

- **Key Features**:

- Schedule devices to turn on/off (e.g., have lights ready when you arrive home).

- Use voice commands with Amazon Echo.

- Transform any dumb device into a smart one with this plug.

Priced under $50, it’s an affordable way to add smart functionality to your home.

### 4. Wiser's Kevo Smart Lock: Control Your Door Remotely

Next is the **Wiser's Kevo Smart Lock**, a Bluetooth-powered lock that lets you control access from your mobile phone. Compatible with iPhone 4S or higher and Android devices running on 5.0 or later, this smart lock allows you to open doors by simply tapping your registered phone or included key fobs.

- **Key Features**:

- Temporary e-keys can be granted for relatives or service providers.

- Low-battery alerts ensure you’re always prepared.

- Comes with two traditional keys in case of emergencies.

While the Kevo is battery-operated, it’s reliable and offers a modern way to secure your home. Plus, it gives peace of mind knowing you have backup keys if needed.

### 5. Gigabyte Z170x Motherboards: High-Performance Options

Finally, we’re looking at two high-performance motherboards from **Gigabyte**: the **Z170X Design** and the **Zed 170X Ultra Gaming**. Both boards support the latest Skylake Intel CPUs and offer impressive features:

- **Zed 170X Ultra Gaming**:

- DDR4 RAM up to 3,866 MHz.

- Ambient Surround LED system with red LEDs for gaming enthusiasts.

- **Z170X Design**:

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis video is going to be a little different compared to our usual Tech tips SL unboxings and we would like to hear some feedback about the episode NC as you might know is a retailer and as such we tend to get a lot of new products on the website and while some of the products might not be brand new to the tech world it is brand new to the NCIX catalog this is the first episode where we give you a rundown of what new products have just arrived at NC ladies and gentlemen this is new arrivals the first product here is the Intel compute stick essentially it's an extremely Compact and thin desktop HDMI dongle you may have seen this on our channel before in this video but that one was a sample and this one is a new version with a few changes inside and out instead of an atom CPU we have a core M3 CPU double the storage at 64 gigs with micro SD expansion Wireless AC Bluetooth 4.2 4 gigs of DDR 3 RAM instead of 2 gigs and it runs on Windows 10 instead of Windows 8.1 the compute stick is powered by this new power brick VI a type-c to type-c Cable lots of reason why type-c is awesome but the main one is that the connector is reversible well at least that's the main reason for me there is also one USB 3 port on the stick but because of the USB type-c connection you can plug in your Wired Mouse and wired keyboard directly into the power brick and have it function on the Intel compute stick itself with the Intel compute stick you can basically turn any old screen like a TV or monitor with the HDMI input into a computer and it's extremely portable and you can also choose to use Bluetooth keyboards Bluetooth mice and Bluetooth speakers as well to stay Wireless but the downside is you do have to bring the accessories with you but to save you the hassle I would recommend that you have extra peripherals ready to go whether it's at your office or at home with its dual core processor it will do most of the things that a desktop or laptop can do like word processing spreadsheets browsing the internet or even high def video consumption but you won't be able to play graphic intensive games or do any sort of video editing you can click here for more details up next are some quick charge products I did a whole episode about what is Quick Charge you can click here to watch that video here are a few new products from linky first up is the five port USB charger Yes you heard right five ports four of the ports are the standard 2 Amp charge output and the fifth port on the bottom that one is Qualcomm certified Quick Charge 2.0 it's just a little bit bigger than a deck of cards one of these Chargers will be able to charge all your devices at once so it's a must have for any traveler or for anyone who just has a lot of smart devices we also have the single port USB Quick Charge 3.0 travel adapter for those of you who want maximum charge speed Quick Charge 3.0 is 80% faster than your regular USB charging and keep in mind that they're backwards compatible with any USB device so your older phone or or tablet can also be charged these Chargers are also protected against overcurrent overcharging and overheating all of your devices and if you want to learn more once again click here next on the list the tplink smart plug these are pretty cool and extremely easy to set up you plug in any electric device into the smart plug and then you take the smart plug and then plug into your wall outlet biggest bonus here is being able to turn devices on and off without having to touch set device or even being in the building whether if it's a lamp a oscillating fan or even the Christmas tree as long as you have an internet connection and Wi-Fi using the cassa app you'll be able to turn things on and off you can also schedule things to turn on and off so that you can come home to the radio playing or your hallway lights to turn on you can even use voice commands to do things if you have an Amazon Echo Wiser's Koo lock it's a bluetooth smart lock debolt system that lets you control the lock on your mobile phone works with both iPhone 4S or higher and Android devices 5.0 and higher I recommend checking Wiser's website to make sure your phone is compatible before buying for example my poor poor Sony xeria Z 5 is not on that list the main feature of the keyo that I like is that you can tap the locks to open when it detects you're carrying one of the included ke key fobs or your registered mobile phone so I'm not fumbling around looking for the right key on my keychain another cool thing is if you have relatives visiting or the internet installer you can grant them a temporary e key for them to get in and out of your house the only downside to the Keo is that it is battery operated but the Keo system will let you know when the battery is low plus the Keo comes with two actual functioning keys so if all things fail you can still use a traditional key to access your home and if you want to learn more once again click here last but not least we have two gigabyte Z 170x motherboards the z170x design nire and the Zed 170x Ultra gaming these Boards of course support the latest what gigabyte is calling ambient surround LED systems which is really cool the alra game gaming itself has red LEDs only while the design nire has onboard pin headers for RGB LED strips but the strips are sold separately so but with the onboard pin header for aftermarket LED strips users now have the ability to sync the lighting in their computer case with the lighting on their motherboard all you need is the ambient LED application which is included in the gigabyte App Center to learn more about these motherboards again click here you seeing a pattern here all right well that's it for this
