The Most Exciting News in Tech This Week: What's Happening and When?
According to various sources, including industry insiders and rumor mills, one thing is for sure: there are some big announcements happening in the tech world this week. And by "big," we mean extremely exciting news that will likely send shockwaves through the gaming community. But before we dive into all the juicy details, let's set the scene.
It's finally here – the moment of truth when gamers can get their hands on one of the most anticipated games of the year: Star Wars Battlefront 2. And boy, is it going to be a wild ride. According to release schedules, the game is set to drop sometime in July or August 2018. But let's be real – we've all been here before. We're hyped for months, and then... nothing. The actual gameplay experience turns out to be underwhelming, with too much repetition and not enough content. Will Star Wars Battlefront 2 follow suit? Only time will tell.
In related news, rumors are swirling around the gaming community about EA's decision to include paid-to-win packages in the game. Yeah, you read that right – pay to win. The very thought sends shivers down the spines of gamers everywhere. How could EA possibly justify such a move? And what does this mean for the future of multiplayer games? We can only speculate at this point.
Moving on to other news, Intel has been making headlines with some surprising announcements of its own. According to sources close to the company, Intel is set to integrate AMD's Vega graphics technology into one of their upcoming mobile CPUs. This rumor has been circulating for months, but recent evidence points to a possible leak from within Intel itself. We're still not entirely convinced by this news, but we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.
On the flip side, some other tech news that's caught our attention includes the latest developments in the self-driving car space. According to reports, NVIDIA has just announced an AI GPU processing pack designed specifically for autonomous vehicles. This new technology promises to enable level 5 autonomy – essentially, cars that can drive themselves without human intervention. But what does this mean for the future of transportation? And more importantly, when can we expect to see these self-driving taxis on our streets?
Finally, with the gaming community still reeling from the news about Star Wars Battlefront 2, it's worth taking a moment to reflect on how EA got here in the first place. Remember that first battlefront game – the one with the amazing concept and awesome multiplayer features? Yeah, it turns out they kind of... ruined it by having not enough content at release time. We're still not sure what state of the game is now, but we do know one thing for sure: EA's latest antics have left a lot to be desired.
In related gaming news, rumors are circulating around the web about an upcoming battle that's going to determine the fate of the entire Star Wars universe. But before we get into all that, let's take a deep breath and talk about something else for a change – because after all, someone has to keep things interesting in this industry.
And speaking of interesting, rumor has it that Intel is working on an AI-powered GPU processing pack designed specifically for self-driving cars. We know this sounds like science fiction, but apparently, it's happening. According to reports, the company is making some major breakthroughs in the field, with a new announcement set to drop in about six months. That's roughly around when we can expect to see some of the next-gen graphics cards from NVIDIA.
Finally, as we wrap up this week in tech news, let's take a moment to address some common misconceptions about rumors and leaks. We've all been there – seeing that one post on Reddit or Twitter that seems like it must be true because... well, it just feels right. But sometimes, those "rumors" turn out to be nothing more than baseless speculation. So the next time you see a news headline or rumor circulating online, take a deep breath and remember: just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it has to be true.
And that brings us to the end of this week in tech news. Thank you for watching – don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more updates on all the latest gadgets and technology trends!
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: endinosaurs space battles pay2win why is that always a thing but today there's a lot of gaming news if you're a fan of dinosaurs or the early noughties you be really excited about this first news story about the first actual in-game footage being released for Jacksonville evolution now they say it's in-game footage because there's a little bit of a little bit of subtext too that says in-game footage I don't really know you don't actually see any interactions with anything it could just as well have been rendered it could have been pre-rendered and then sold as in-game footage but they say it's Indian footage so who we to argue if this is what the game is gonna look like it's quite exciting I really loved for the first Jurassic world game it's like a rollercoaster tycoon ask thing where you build like a Jurassic Park of your own it's really fun and hopefully they don't ruin it with this new one the game is set to be released at some point next year they don't specify anything more than that there's recently been some leaks around the release date of the new AMD Navi architecture now if you're a bit confused about that news because well the vaguer release just-just-just now and you can't find them anywhere as it is why are they already eating news around the review architecture then join the club but apparently according to AMD even after all of the all of the hyping they did for Vega just before the Vega release they said oh well Vega is not actually the one to be that excited for it's it's and a B that's the one that's a really big deal so now they're starting the hyping of that according to this release schedule it's going to be released between some point in July of 2018 and August in 2018 so in other words they're actually going to really in May of 2019 and it's gonna be hugely underwhelming I mean let's give them some credit their CPUs have been doing really well lately but their GPU leases have been pretty disheartening and yeah they've just been playing catch-up to video and I with some more gaming related news the the actual release date for Star Wars Battlefront 2 is creeping ever closer and all of the rumors around paid to win packages in them is is creeping ever stronger so it looks like EA has already already ruined the game before they released it so let me get this straight with the first battlefront they they had a great concept for again were a great kind of idea around the package of battlefront and then they ruined it by having pretty much no content in the game at release time I don't know what the state of the game is now but everybody lost interest about a week after it was released and now they're ruining the second one before they've even released it with pay2win packages which just ruins any multiplayer based game especially if you're paying ea prices for a game which is usually like $500 for the game and like $700 for the for the the season pass thing which means that you can kind of play all of the game and now with all of that out the way you still have to buy power-ups in the game I don't really know what horrible heroin addiction EA is trying to fund but it must be really getting out of hand and now a loss to final shorter stories to round off the week first of all there are rumors going around the internet and you know it's a it's it's a rumor on the internet so it means it must almost definitely be true then Intel is going to be using AMD Vega graphics and one of their up-and-coming mobile ap use now this rumor has been going around for not a while but it's been it's been it's made its rounds on the Internet and I was really skeptical initially and I'm still very skeptical now because this latest kind of refresher to this rumor is a pretty particularly dodgy looking slide that's been released which is apparently an official Intel slide but it's kind of been taken from a kind of secret camp in somebody's tie three years ago so it looks a bit dodgy and then finally Vidya has announced a new AI GPU processing pack for self-driving car which is really exciting because it means that this actual processing unit might actually enable self driving taxis to kind of cart people around it should be really cool one of the biggest problems with the actual AI processing for self-driving cars has always been that the actual processing pack is so huge that it's really difficult to stow anywhere and it uses a lot of power which for electric cars could be an issue but this latest one is actually about the size of a license plate apparently which kind of alleviate some of those problems and it's way faster so apparently it's going to enable level 5 autonomy in cars which is the highest level this means that you're not going to need a steering wheel or any pedals or anything in the car because it can just take care of itself what was the most exciting for me about this announcement and there's I mean I haven't seen this connection drawn on the internet yet but they made in the announcement they stated that this pack was going to be released halfway through next year alongside their next line of GPUs so this is not an announcement but there's kind of a hinting at the actual release date of of the next generation of Nvidia graphics cards and if this is an actual hint at that it means we're still going to be waiting a while and with that this is the end of this episode of this week in the tech News thank you very much for watching if you liked the video do press the like button you can comment leave some comments
