RHA Headphones & Dacamp- Hands On - IFA 2016

**Exploring RHA’s Innovative Products at EA 2016: A Deep Dive into Sound**

Caleb Dennison from Digital Trends recently visited the RHA booth at EA 2016, offering an insightful look into three of their latest headphone products. Known for their expertise in audio technology and their journey spanning over five years, RHA continues to impress with their innovative offerings. Caleb’s enthusiasm as he explores these products reflects RHA’s commitment to quality and evolution in the ever-changing audio landscape.

### The D Amp: A Powerhouse in Your Pocket

First on the list is the D Amp, a battery-powered DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) and headphone amplifier that stands out for its advanced features. Designed to cater to both low and high impedance headphones, the D Amp offers three gain outputs, ensuring optimal performance across various devices. Its balanced audio output Jack complements the included balanced audio cables, enhancing connectivity options. Additionally, it supports a line out and line in feature, accommodating optical connections through a USB port.

Priced at $549.95, this device boasts impressive battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on usage intensity. Caleb highlights its powerful sound profile, with the DAC excelling in delivering rich audio. The amplifier’s performance is equally commendable, offering tight transient responses and precise control over headphones, making it ideal for those seeking clarity and punchy bass.

### CL750 Stainless Steel Headphones: A Blend of Style and Substance

Next, Caleb introduces the CL750 stainless steel headphones, a testament to RHA’s commitment to innovation. Featuring hard-lined cables that are both lightweight and durable, these headphones offer exceptional comfort and style. Their compact design allows them to nestle snugly inside the ear, enhancing portability.

Sonically, the CL750 delivers impressive bass response with crisp treble notes, providing a dynamic listening experience. Priced at $150, Caleb deems these headphones a steal, offering excellent value for their performance and build quality. Whether you're looking for a versatile option or something to complement an amplifier like the D Amp, the CL750 is a solid choice.

### CL1 Ceramic Edition: The Crown Jewel of RHA’s Lineup

Finally, Caleb showcases the CL1 Ceramic Edition, a groundbreaking headphone that sets new standards in audio quality. Its enclosure is made from ceramic, known for its acoustically inert properties, ensuring minimal interference and rich sound reproduction. A detachable cable terminates in a balanced audio connection, allowing users to create a seamless balanced signal chain from source to headphones via the D Amp.

Inside, the CL1 features a dynamic driver coated with special materials for rigidity and speed, delivering powerful bass response. Complementing this is a ceramic driver designed to handle high frequencies above 8kHz, offering crystal-clear treble. While RHA is still fine-tuning some aspects, the potential of these headphones is evident, making them a standout product.

Priced at $449, the CL1 is set for release in mid-October and promises an exceptional listening experience, especially when paired with the D Amp. However, it can also be used with standard 3.5mm jacks if preferred.

### Conclusion: A Promising Future for RHA

Caleb concludes his tour of RHA’s booth at EA 2016 by highlighting these three stellar products—each offering something unique to audiophiles and headphone enthusiasts. From the versatile D Amp to the stylish CL750 and the innovative CL1 Ceramic Edition, RHA continues to push boundaries in audio technology.

As Caleb wraps up his visit, he invites viewers to stay tuned for upcoming reviews of these products, promising detailed insights into their performance and value. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey there Caleb Dennison with Digital Trends here and we have stopped by the RHA Booth uh this is a headphone company out of England that we've been following uh pretty much since they were born about 5 years ago and we've been reviewing their headphones all along you know providing our feedback giving our opinion and it's been really fun to watch them grow and evolve uh to the changing Marketplace anyway they've got three three new products here at epha that I wanted to uh talk about first and foremost is this this would be the D amp and uh it's a battery powered DAC and headphone amplifier um and it's a rather Advanced one too uh it's got three different uh gain outputs so whether you have a low impedance or a high impedance uh headphone it can handle it no problem it's also got a balanced uh audio output Jack here which works with the balanced audio cable that's included with some of its headphones uh standard uh line out there and there's also a line out and line in uh which handles an optical connection if you want it as you can see here we have a light cable plugged into a USB port uh so that we can go straight out of the Lightning Jack on an iPhone and uh send that digital audio to be decoded by the amplifier uh the DAC amp goes for about $549.95 and the battery inside will last for about 10 hours maybe a little less depending on how hard it has to drive your headphones um we've had a listen to this and it feels really really powerful I mean the da does a great job but the amp portion does a really good job of controlling the headphone uh and offering really really tight Transit responses you know starts and stops on a dime uh the next thing I want to show you and our cord got a little bit messy that's all right um is a really really clever stainless steel headphone this is the CL 750 and now the the cable is hard lined here these are remarkably light um and very comfortable to wear they tuck right inside of your ear uh really great base response uh the treble response is super zingy it's uh very crispy up top uh very aggressive TR response so if you really like a lot of uh Sparkle and Dazzle in uh your treble I think that you'd like these very much and I definitely think these are a deal at about uh $150 US but the real star of the show here in my opinion would be the cl1 ceramic now it's a little hard to tell on the video here but this is a ceramic enclosure here which is really nice because ceramic is relatively acoustically inert all right so it's not going to react to uh the happenings in inside the enclosure this is a detachable cable that's a first for RHA um and this particular one terminates in that balanced audio connection that I was talking about so you could potentially go balanced all the way from your Source through your amp right through to your headphones and uh if we pick these up here inside is both a dynamic driver which has been coated with some uh special stuff to allow it to be rigid but also uh fast enough to handle really really good base response uh and then there is a uh ceramic driver they're calling it it's actually a peo electric twer uh that H that handles all the high range stuff uh above about 8K about uh 8,000 htz um this also has that really really uh crisp treble response very brilliant a lot of detail available there uh they're still working out some of the Kinks on these but uh they're almost there and just like the rest of the products we showed you here today they should be available in mid October uh these go for 44 $9 or about 450 bucks um and again just a really solid offering if you don't want to use the balance cable you can use the standard 3 and 12 millimeter Jack uh but these guys benefit greatly from uh use with an amp and well you know R has just the thing for that the D amp so that's it three pretty stellar offerings from RHA at EA 2016 uh we'll be getting these in for review so you want to check back in a couple of months uh for that until then that's it Caleb Denison for Digital Trends at EA 2016hey there Caleb Dennison with Digital Trends here and we have stopped by the RHA Booth uh
