**Google Wi-Fi: A Great Router Pick with Excellent Privacy Benefits**
The Google Wi-Fi system is a great router pick for $99, but it's also available in a three-pack for two at a discounted price of $149. This makes it an excellent value for those looking to cover their whole home in a cozy warm blanket of Internet goodness. According to its own documentation, the Google Wi-Fi system offers some substantial privacy benefits that set it apart from other router manufacturers. For example, it won't track the websites you visit or collect the content from any traffic on the network. Furthermore, there are three additional privacy-related features that can be toggled on or off in the settings, which may affect your ability to use some of the features of the router.
**Samsung T5 Portable SSD: A Compact and Powerful Storage Solution**
For video editors who need a reliable and portable storage solution, the Samsung T5 portable SSD is an excellent choice. The T5 comes with a USB-C cable that's compatible with newer MacBooks and PCs as well as type-A USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. This allows users to connect the device to their preferred system and take advantage of its impressive speeds, which reach up to 540 megabits per second at peak performance. That means it can easily handle rendering 4K content wherever needed. The T5 is available in various storage sizes, but the 500GB model is a great value that's currently priced at just $98 on Amazon.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello and welcome back to tech for less the show where we talk about all the best tech you can get for cheap I'm your host Chris Tigre and today we're taking another stab at the hundred dollar price point there's some really cool stuff in this episode and I'm excited to get into it and as a reminder you can check out any of these products via the links in the description so let's just do this thing we've talked about the echo before and it's dot form and we've talked about the Google home mini but it's time we pay respect to the one that started it all kinda I'm talking about the Amazon echo second generation to be specific so we already know a lot of what this type of speaker is capable of but just to reiterate inside this speaker lives your personal assistant Alexa with whom you can share your darkest secrets or perhaps more practically just ask to do stuff for you like set alarms turn on lights or heating or TVs or well a lot of things play music check weather blah blah blah you get the point and she never asks for anything in return except maybe to collect information to better serve you ads and well there's no escaping that at this point anyway is there so what makes the new echo better than the die or better than the first generation well for one thing the design is more appealing it's smaller when compared to the original model and comes in a variety of more fingerprint resilient finishes including different colors of fabric wood and silver if Amazon wants to invade your home it's at least gonna look good while doing it compared to the dot it has seven speakers and it's obviously much larger so the sound is naturally gonna be a lot better not only in quality but in its ability to fill a space it also has a dedicated tweeter a 2.5 inch down firing subwoofer and Dolby processing so it's made significant strides when directly compared to the first gen as well thanks to improved beamforming and noise cancellation Alexa is now better at hearing u2 from further away even when it's a little noisy or the music's too loud there's not much else to say about the echo it started a movement and it continues to improve this one sells for 99 bucks and is a great choice for a semi open space like a kitchen or a living room it's easy to overlook the importance of a computer mouse but like our phones many of us use the same one every day in and out without fail so you could at least benefit from having one that is functional well made comfortable and attractive and all of these things can describe the Logitech MX master 2s this mouse can connect to up to 3 devices and easily switch between them on the fly it's even capable of what they call logitech flow which lets you do things like copy text or images on one computer then drag the mouse over and paste them onto a different computer the MX master 2's uses Logitech's darkfield technology capable of much more precise tracking than traditional mice and because of that you can use it on a handful of non-traditional surfaces as well like wood and glass without affecting the performance like its predecessor the MX master this mouse features hyper scrolling so you can depress the scroll wheel to blast through longer documents then push it in again to revert back to regular scrolling it offers an insane dpi of up to 4,000 which is admittedly overkill for my own somewhat casual use but for those with a handful of monitors this can be a good feature to have the Logitech MX master 2s fits like a glove if you've never used this kind of Mouse before you'll find it's remarkably organ Amish and that polygons will thumb rest on the left is more than just a pretty face it has a button inside that you can assign different tasks to including media playback that will allow you to increase or decrease the volume by holding the button and moving the mouse up and down or seek between tracks by holding it and moving side to side I mean how cool is that it's very cool that's how much plus the mouse comes in 3 different colorways including this gorgeous gray and white one as well as a darker graphite and a dark teal option Logitech MX master 2 s is a solid investment at 99 bucks and shouldn't be confused for a gaming mouse while this would serve just fine for the average gamer as well this mouse is more for any professional who's on their computer a lot doing work browsing and sure maybe a little gaming wireless mesh networks have gotten pretty popular over the last couple years and the Google Wi-Fi system is just one particularly good iteration of that the idea is simple instead of having one access point as close to the middle of your house as possible you can place a number of access points in areas where you'll need the internet the most the vanquishing dead zones and giving you the same hopefully fast internet speeds from anywhere on your property to keep this under our budget however we're just gonna be looking at a single unit for the moment Google Wi-Fi will run you ninety-nine bucks which will cover a home of about 500 to 1500 square feet this might be plenty for some of the younger and/or city-dwelling viewers out there but just know that to make the most out of the system you can purchase up to three units that Google promises can cover upwards of 4,500 square feet the mesh factor isn't the only trick Google Wi-Fi has a bit sleeve though let's not sugarcoat it dealing with a router can be a pain in the ass more often than not really for one thing they're super clunky to set up then even clunkier to manage with a browser interface that always looks like it's from 1995 for some reason this on the other hand is one of the most user-friendly routers I've ever used you set it all up using the Google Wi-Fi app and I don't need to bore you with the details there it's gonna take about 10 minutes from start to finish and once it's done you can control everything in the same place with a modern user-friendly app who'd have thought it was even possible you can control what devices are getting Internet in their set schedules for the little ones yourself if you have the willpower for that or even just turn it on and off when you're not home to mess with your housemates I can't encourage that last one but it is possible this router also has an option that allows you to enable Google Safe Search which should help deter any inappropriate content from appearing unspecified devices of course this isn't a perfect feature so always be sure you know what content your kids are consuming but it's nice to have nonetheless lastly Google Wi-Fi offers some really substantial privacy benefits that you don't always see with other router manufacturers according to their own documentation it won't track the websites you visit nor collect the content from any traffic on the network furthermore there are three additional privacy related features you can toggle on or off in the settings but just be aware that these may affect your ability to use some of the features of the router all in all even with just one the Google Wi-Fi system is a great router pick for $99 but it is a system after all and if you want to pull the trigger and cover your whole home in a cozy warm blanket of Internet II goodness you can save 50 bucks by buying the 3-pack for two this one goes out to all the video editors out there if you're in that game you may already be familiar with this one as it's become a favorite among professionals and casual editors we're taking a look at the 500 gigabyte Samsung t5 portable SSD this compact SSD offers a great bargain with seriously impressive speeds in a tiny tiny package at two and a quarter inches wide just under three inches long and less than two ounces in weight it definitely lives up to the portable label in its name which obviously makes it great for traveling speaking of taking it around if you happen to drop the t5 you'll probably be okay it's shock resistant up to two meters or just over three feet for those who prefer imperial measurements on the front of the t5 is your type C port as well as an indicator light to let you know that power is being supplied to the device it comes with a USB c2c cable perfect for newer Mac books and PCs as well as the c2 a that will be compatible with type a USB 3.1 gen2 ports all that lingo to say in the right environment this baby can really run offering speeds of up to 540 megabits per second at peak performance that means it's more than capable of rendering 4k content whenever and wherever you need to the t5 portable SSD comes in other storage sizes as well of course but 500 gigabytes is really the value mark for this one and it's selling for half the cost of the main body it comes with several pieces that fit beautifully together including this portafilter up top under which you'll find a filter will you'll ultimately put your espresso then there's a water tank down below that contains a scoop and a brush and at the very bottom is your espresso cup so all you do is you take the scoop and fill it with your favorite espresso ground coffee but the
