**A Review of the Gaming Headset: An Immersive Experience**

The first thing you want to do is download the companion app, which I knew I planned on playing Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter - basically fighting games. I put the EQ to the fighting game set it so it was so dope now if you ever play Mortal Kombat you know a lot of times while you're fighting the players will talk to each other the characters so you can hear the voices in the background but it sounded like a surround sound kind of ambient sound sounded so crazy on different stages. You know they got the beat stage with the water, so that's pitch stage you can hear the water crashing into the beach you can hear the different like we are wind and the trees you can hear the cars in the background just sound crazy. The gunshots when you do the stage fatality with the gunshots you can hear every bullet yo when Sonia shoots the guns you can hear the shell casings it sounds crazy.

Now, as far as 3D sound there's only one game that you could really test that out with Uncharted 4 and I don't have that game but you could clearly notice the difference when you toggle on and off from virtual surround sound. You could clearly hear the difference. You got a lot more bass and it just sounds amazing.

After that, I play some GTA 5. I went to the custom EQ settings and y'all know how I do a lot of bass. The custom issues setting was crazy. I had a lot of fun with GTA 5. You can hear all of the people talking. You know GTA 5 when you're walking down the street you have people having conversations. You can hear the conversation more like one on the left side, one on the right side of the persons on the left side of the screen you hear them talking on the left side if a car drives by on the right side you hear it and then as the car keeps driving you still hear the car fading away. The surround sound is intense.

The headset features a wing, which I like. Another thing I like is the two mics built into the headset. So this way you don't have to have that annoying boom now a lot of gaming headsets you can adjust the boom but still now you just don't have to worry about it at all. Button placement will take you a few minutes to get used to it, but there's only a couple of buttons. You got your body buffing down. Your mute button is right there right in the middle I wanna know if it's a switch so you can clearly feel that one and you can't sound up and down right there. So you'll get used to the buttons in a minute.

**Virtual Reality and Gaming**

If you're looking for gaming headset and you got a PlayStation 4 bodies immediately now. If you're looking for music headphones, they don't buy these $460 bucks do not buy these if you plan on playing music. Now just for fun I did test it out with some music and it sounded good but I wouldn't spend a hundred and sixty bucks for these not to mention I don't think I'll even really want to rock these outside you know with the big PlayStation logos on it.

But then, put the wire in you can use these for virtual reality now. Then test it with the VR games. But I just put the video headset on and put these on just to see if they fit and it fit perfectly.

is going to be your travel case let's take a look at this turkeys getting ready to take a nap in that bag okay travel pouch little PlayStation insignia on it let me do the smell test smells like velvet drawstrings good to go and of course your usual books and what those filing to the side now for the headphones this is the most important difference between this and the gold other than the sound the headband now do the same exact stretch test now when I went like this with the gold headphones they cracked right in the middle so now these ones made of aluminum or metal whatever you want to call it definitely not plastic I so call it whatever you want just don't call it plastic underneath you got this little rubber band right here so this is going to give you that extra seal on your head I'm already feeling these way more now check out the ER hinges this was another thing now with the PlayStation Gold headphones if you just held them like this they will automatically fold that's how weak the hinges was now these are still dropped but you get it got to do a little shake on these but if you just hold them like this they will stay up the air cups now this is plastic but it has that brushed aluminum look to it I like that plastic around the other side now these have the inside the air cup the drivers they angled a little bit just like on the gold some people like that some people don't like I said these are video game headphones I wouldn't buy these for music but it is what it is let's see you got your big Ellen off right and left now let's go through the buttons real quick on the right you got your your uh your Virtual Surround 3d audio on and off now right now there's only one game uncharted 4 that's going to be able to take full advantage of the 3d audio but we'll put it to the test with regular games that we'll see if it makes any of it any bit of a difference ok PlayStation insignia alright so that's it on this side on the other side here's your sound and chat toggle right here so this way if you play in a video game and you want to hear more sound and less chat then you just add more sound if you really into the conversation and you don't really care about the gameplay then you put more check you got an LED right here now you got your off 1 & 2 switch now these are your presets number 2 it's automatically set to bass boost now if you download the companion app then you can change the presets to whatever you want and they have specific presets for different genres of games so you got your fighting games preset you got your shooting games preset your driving games preset for first-person shooters different presets for different games you got your mute button alright so if you want to mute the chat you know you keep playing that destiny and your wife's come home beefing and you don't want to get clowned in front of everybody hit the mute button alright you got volume up and down alright that's just a regular bhajan level here's your USB in the side you're going to charge the headphones this is your 3.5 millimeter auxilary input right here so if you want to use the wired connection now check this out here's your two mics there's one mic right here and now you got another mic on the top so these are going to sound better when you're getting into that high intensity check so that's pretty much it matter of fact let's see now these do raise and lower you're not going to see it from here because there's a hinge but they do raise them lower I let me slap these on real quick see how they feel oh yes definitely nice and comfortable not too tight one thing I will say is I like this little rubber band right here and the brushed aluminum feel on the top just way better and I'm liking another difference between the gold
