**Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus Review**
The Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus has been optimized to take advantage of its 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 12 gigs of DDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As a result, running normal everyday tasks is a breeze for this phone. It can handle demanding games considerably well too, with the Reno 10 Pro Plus even having a 90 FPS mode for PUBG. During my testing, I was able to achieve 99 stability with an average of 88 FPS in smooth graphics, and even if played for long hours, the phone maintained its thermals and stability very well.
While playing games like Call of Duty: Mech Arena, Asphalt 9, Injustice 2, and others at their highest graphic settings, I was able to get 100 stability. However, it's worth noting that this phone is not optimized yet for higher FPS in any other game. The only instance where the phone struggled to keep up with heavy loads was while playing Genshin Impact at its highest graphics and 60 FPS settings. It started off with a nice 55 FPS but soon dropped to around 48 FPS as it continued.
The stability is good, though, although the phone starts to heat up after about 10 minutes of playtime, reaching temperatures of around 44 degrees Celsius after 30 minutes. This is understandable given that Genshin Impact is an extremely demanding game, even for phones with more powerful processors like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
One notable difference between the Reno 10 Pro Plus and other curved-screen gaming phones is the occasional accidental glitch or mistake while playing games due to its curved design. In contrast, the Nothing Phone 2's flat design complements gaming sessions well, even though it offers similar performance.
**Software Experience**
As someone who has used various software platforms like Realme UI and OnePlus Software, I have a relatively good understanding of ColorOS. While I appreciate the ease of use and customization options that come with it, I'm not a fan of the bloatware that often accompanies these platforms. Unfortunately, Oppo's Reno 10 Pro Plus comes with its fair share of unwanted apps that cannot be easily uninstalled or disabled.
Apps like Game Center and App Market can't even be disabled, and there's also a folder called Hot Games with game recommendations that can't be disabled either. This is particularly frustrating for someone who values a clean and streamlined software experience. However, I do appreciate Oppo's promise of three years of OS updates and four years of security updates on the Reno 10 Pro Plus.
**Additional Features**
The Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus features a crisp haptic response system that makes typing and interacting with the phone a joy. The phone also boasts an impressive 14 5G bands, ensuring stable network reception and connectivity. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity have also been issue-free during my testing.
Overall, both the Reno 10 Pro Plus and the Nothing Phone 2 are slightly overpriced for their offerings. While they share similar specs and performance, the Nothing Phone 2's unique design and software experience make it an attractive option for enthusiasts like myself. However, if you prioritize a more traditional design and a better camera, particularly for portrait photography, the Reno 10 Pro Plus is also worth considering.
Ultimately, whether to invest in the Reno 10 Pro Plus or the Nothing Phone 2 depends on individual preferences. If a clean software experience is your top priority, the Nothing Phone 2 is undoubtedly the better choice. But if you value a more premium design and slightly better camera capabilities, the Reno 10 Pro Plus is also an excellent option.
**Conclusion**
This article concludes with my review of the Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus. I'm Prathim Adhikari, and I'll see you in my next video.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enokay so I was going through the comments on my Reno 10 pro video and apparently a lot of you guys have requested that I review the Reno 10 Pro Plus as well so here I am for starters you might know that Oppo makes some really good mid-range phones in their Vino lineup and the Reno 10 Pro Plus is the most high-end offering among them bringing extremely good cameras a flagship level display great design among everything else but this thing is also priced quite high at 55 000 rupees or some 500 Euros so yeah it's slightly overpriced but still if you look at the spec sheet it's almost identical to the nothing bone 2 which is priced very similarly to this one so let me tell you which one you should get okay let's start with the design um unlike the flashy transparent back or the nothing point to here the arena 10 Pro Plus has a nice and clean Looking Glass pack which looks and feels quite premium the back has this shiny glass design and the color I have is an absolute eye candy too you should know that Oppo has used plastic frames here whereas you do get a metal frame on the nothing bone too but I will actually not complain about it because that has helped make this device comparatively lightweight you see this phone has a very Hefty camera setup with a 50 megapixel ois mean lens and a 64 megapixel OS zoom lens which already makes it a chunky boy at 194 grams so going with plastic frames has certainly dialed down the weight a little bit here but at the same time plastic frames are not as durable and robust as metal so I guess this is a compromise that we have to live with now when we're talking about durability Oppo has not provided gorilla glass protection here either rather they have chosen to go with Asahi glass protection which we all know is not as tough as Gorilla Glass also there's no IP rating here not even ip54 which you get on the nothing phone too so while the device looks and feels very good I definitely think Oppo should have given better thought on the durability side of things considering its price tag um you do get an IR blaster here if that is something that's important to you anyway the display is definitely one of the best things about the Reno 10 Pro Plus it's a 6.7 inches AMOLED screen that's very color accurate has excellent contrast sufficient brightness and amazing touch response it's also a 10-bit panel and I have found no issues here regarding Asia playback or neither streaming platforms nor YouTube so it's safe to say that the Reno 10 Pro Plus is an excellent content consumption device and that's not just because the phone has an amazing display but its stereo speakers are really good too much better than the nothing phone too there's not a lot of focus on the lower frequencies here but the mids and highs sound fairly balanced and the speakers can get decently loud too I particularly enjoyed watching shows and movies on this phone mostly because the dialogue sound really really crisp here I do have to tell you that this is not an LG pure screen though so it can only switch between 1690 and 120 hertz unlike the nothing phone 2 which can go as low as one Hertz to save power that's aside the optimization however is done very well here in the auto refresh rate mode the UI runs smoothly at 120 hertz while more social media apps render at 90 Hertz and the phone switches to 60hz while displaying content such as videos and pictures but for some reason Chrome also runs at 60hz which has made my web browsing experience a bit better I really do hope that Oppo sends an update to fix this ASAP other than that the battery life has also not been an issue for me at all the phone does feature a slightly smaller battery at 4700 milliamp hours but Oppo has made sure to optimize the battery well so I used to get an entire year of Endurance on normal usage here on days I use the camera a lot or games a bit more I did have to charge the phone during the evenings but that was not a problem at all since the Reno 10 Pro Plus charges at a whopping 100 Words and fills up entirely within 30 minutes likewise the cameras on the Reno 10 Pro Plus have impressed me a lot like with most premium Oppo phones this one too has an excellent excellent primary camera the photos from it have the right balance of vibrancy contrast and dynamic range and hence you can get some pretty dope images with it not just during daytime but even at dawn or nighttime this phone will not disappoint you in any way and if you're someone who takes a lot of portraits the 3x telephoto lens on the Reno 10 Pro Plus is just what you are looking for just have a look at these portraits I took of my sister from the subject Focus to Edge detection to skin tone and details everything just looks so on point I do admit that Oppo tends to brighten the skin tone a bit but the end result is quite nice so I will not complain I will gladly upload portraits from the Reno 10 Pro Plus on my social media without any edits this lens can also Zoom further up to 120x however the output is is just not good especially if you compare it with something like the Galaxy s23 Ultra and I forgot to mention earlier it's Ultra wide angle images at downright average as well here I think they could have provided a better sensor as the nothing phone too so as you can see from the samples the phone 2 does a better job at shooting Ultra wide angle images but when I compare the window 10 Pro Plus with the nothing phone 2 in other aspects I found that the 10 Pro Plus primary camera has more consistent results with better contrast and overall processing but do keep in mind that nothing is a very close second and its pictures cannot be underestimated at all during night time I found both of them doing a similar job while portraits are definitely better on video but overall even though Oppo has done a great job with its cameras nothing's output is also very competitive as for videos both these phones can shoot at up to 4K 60fps and you get fairly decent results oppo's telephoto lens does let you shoot at 4K 60fps from the 3x mode so that's pretty dope too but what I like about nothing is that it allows you to switch between normal and Ultra wide angle cameras while shooting at 4K whereas Reno does not allow you to do that so I've felt a bit restricted while shooting sometimes and that restriction extends to the selfie camera as well where the max resolution you can shoot from the arena 10 Pro Plus is just an ATP 30 FPS I don't know why Oppo just refuses to provide good recording function from their front cameras even on their premium offerings because of this I really can't recommend this phone for vloggers who mostly shoot using the front camera okay moving on I'm happy to report that the performance on the Oppo Vino 10 Pro Plus is Top Notch you get the Snapdragon 8 plus gen 1 chipset here along with 12 gigs of ddr5 RAM and 256 GB of ufs 3.1 storage and Oppo has done a great job optimal Rising the chipset to get good performance out of it as a result running normal everyday tasks is just a piece of cake for this guy while the phone runs demanding games considerably well too the Reno 10 Pro Plus even has a 90 FPS mode for pubg and on my test I was able to get 99 stability with an average of 88 FPS in smooth graphics and even if you play the game for long hours the phone maintains the thermos and stability very very well here likewise games like Call of Duty mecharena Asphalt 9 Injustice 2 Etc deliver 100 stability even at the highest graphic settings so that's nice too although you have to know that except for pubg this phone is not optimized yet to run at higher FPS in any other game the only time I felt the phone struggle to keep up with heavy load is while playing genshin impact at the highest graphics and 60 FPS it starts off with a nice 55 FPS but the number soon drops after a while hovering at around 48 fps the stability is good though but the phone starts to heat up after like 10 minutes or so and reaches around 44 degrees after like 30 minutes which is the only time I felt the phone struggling now gentian impact is an extremely demanding game which even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered phones failed to run smoothly so I can give the Reno 10 Pro Plus the benefit of Doubt here but because you're playing on a curved screen I did notice some accidental like mistaches every now and then when playing games in comparison the nothing phone 2's flat design really complemented my gaming sessions while bearing similar FPS as the Reno 10 Pro Plus finally talking about the software I have to say that having used a fair share of Oppo real me and OnePlus Burns I am fairly accustomed to using Color OS and I like that it's mostly easy to use with a lot of customization options but at the same time there's just a lot of bloatware to deal with here I actually would be considerate if all the unwanted apps could be uninstalled but that is not the case either apps like game center and app market cannot even be disabled and there's also this entire folder called hot games with game with this phone has been great the phone also has 14 5G bands and network reception and all haven't been an issue for me either and neither have I faced any issues with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity on this phone alright that brings me to the conclusion so is the Reno 10 Pro Plus a better phone than the nothing phone too okay first of all I think both the phones are slightly overpriced for what they offer the Reno 10 Pro Plus retails at 55 000 Indian rupees while the nothing phone 2 comes for 50 000 rupees for the same 12 to 56 GB variant but you do get a 100 watt charger inside the box with Oppo and some more discounts from both offline and Flipkart right now while you need to purchase nothing's charger separately which pretty much keeps both the phones pricing on the same plane now regarding which phone is better well the nothing phone 2 is definitely made for enthusiasts like me while the Reno 10 Pro Plus is your basic premium smartphone so in the end I truly think that it all boils down to your preference if a clean and somewhat unique software experience is what you prefer then the nothing phone 2 is a no-brainer but if you prefer a design that does not catch a lot of attention and you also want a slightly better camera especially if you like taking a lot of portraits the Reno 10 Pro Plus is an equally good option too so everybody that was my full review of the Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus uh if you had to invest around 50 000 rupees which one would you go for the nothing phone 2 or the Reno 10 Pro Plus do let us know in the comments by the way this unit was sent to us by Oppo themselves and after this review is over this will be returned to Oppo and no editorial input from their site has been Incorporated here whatsoever saying this I'm prathim adhikari and I
