Samsung Galaxy M20 Unboxing Performance Gaming And Camera First Look

The Samsung Galaxy M20 is a smartphone that boasts several upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy M10. One of the most notable differences is the presence of an 8-megapixel F/2 camera, which replaces the 5-megapixel camera found on the M10. Additionally, the phone features a higher-resolution display with a teardrop notch, giving it a more premium and "all-screen" feel.

The bottom of the device also receives some upgrades, including a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port, microphone, and speakerphone, all located on the right side of the phone. The power button and volume buttons are positioned on top, while the secondary noise cancellation button is located to the left, alongside the SIM tray that houses two separate SIM cards and a microSD card slot.

Turning the device over reveals the main cameras, which are identical to those found on the M10, consisting of a 13-megapixel F/1.9 primary camera and a 5-megapixel F/2.2 ultra-wide-angle rear camera. The LED flash is also present, along with the Samsung logo. One notable feature of the M20 is the presence of a fingerprint sensor.

One of the most significant upgrades of the M20 over its predecessor is the battery life, which boasts a 5000mAh capacity. Despite this, the phone remains relatively slim, thanks in part to the upgraded Exynos 7904 chipset with 1.8 GHz octa-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. The device also features 64GB of storage, all running on Android 8.1 out of the box, along with Samsung's user interface.

Users can expect a responsive performance from the M20, which should be able to handle day-to-day tasks with ease. Benchmarks indicate that the phone should be able to deliver medium graphics quality during gameplay, making it suitable for most games available on the device. The camera capabilities of the M20 are also impressive, featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The rear camera offers various modes, including Live Focus, which allows users to control exposure value, ISO, white balance, and more. A panorama mode is also available, along with stickers and continuous burst shot capabilities. The front-facing camera features a wider frame than its predecessor, allowing for full-screen selfies. Users can also customize the picture size by adjusting the aspect ratio.

In terms of customization options, Samsung has provided several settings in the M20's settings panel, including one-handed operation, screen lock type, and various display settings. Gamers will appreciate the game launcher, which allows users to customize their gaming performance and sound settings. Additionally, users can disable notifications from apps during gameplay sessions.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy M20 is an upgraded version of its predecessor, offering several improvements in terms of camera capabilities, battery life, and performance. Users who are looking for a solid mid-range smartphone with impressive specs and features should consider giving this device a try.

available in this price bracket if you look at the box the packaging is quite similar to the m10 so you do have the device on the front with a nice big m20 uh branding over there and on the back you can see most of the specifications it does have an infinity v display and like i mentioned the price is on the back this also has an indian sim card only regional lock so you'll have to use the phone for five minutes with an indian sim card after you activate it to be able to use it overseas with an international sim card now let's get through the packaging the first thing inside the box of course is another box which has the documentation you do have a quick start guide which does have sar information on the front we'll leave it on screen for you to check it out and also inside the box is a warranty certificate and the regional lock information next up is the phone itself i'm going to place it to the side furthermore inside the box you do get a wall charger now this is a faster charger than the m10 it is a nine volt 1.67 amp charger now because the m20 does support usb c you do get a usb c cable inside the box along with a sim ejector tool no earphones are included no cases are included because the price was supposed to be kept as low as possible and i think they've done a pretty good job as far as samsung is concerned when it comes to pricing of this device now let's take a look at the phone itself let's get rid of the plastic just like the m10 the back panel of the m20 has a really nice almost car finish paint job it is also still a plastic device but you can feel that this is a bigger phone and uh not by quite a lot but this does feel a lot different from the m10 from the get-go even though basic design specifics are the same so let's talk about the front the front gets a 6.3 inch display this time around and the resolution also gets a bump so the m20 gets a 2 3 four zero by 1080p display you still get this nice uh long aspect ratio along with the infinity v display which gives you a teardrop notch on the top of the device now within this teardrop notch also is an eight megapixel f2 camera from the 5 megapixel on the m10 if you look at the bottom of the display you will see that the chin is also considerably lower in terms of the height so you do have a thinner chin and this looks more premium and much more all screen front than that on the m10 look at the bottom of the device a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack the usb c port microphone and speakerphone are all there on the right the power button the volume buttons on the top a secondary noise cancellation button and on the left the sim tray which will house independently two sim cards and a micro sd card we turn over to the back you will see the main cameras a 13 megapixel f 1.9 main camera and a 5 megapixel f 2.2 ultra wide rear camera all of these specs are almost identical to the m10 and the camera capability is also pretty good on both these devices you can also see the led flash and the m20 does get a fingerprint sensor so you do have the fingerprint sensor over there and the samsung logo now one big reason that the m20 feels a lot more hefty and slightly heavier than the m10 is because of the five thousand milliamp hour battery which this phone has and despite the big battery it remains quite slim you also get upgraded specifications with the exynos 7904 chipset with 1.8 gigahertz on octa-core along with the mali g71 gpu this phone has four gigabyte of ram and 64 gigabyte of storage now just like the m10 this runs 8.1 android out of the box along with the samsung user interface but it will get updated to samsung one ui with android 9 and an update will be pushed out shortly after launch according to samsung now there is no bloatware on the device unless you choose it from the setup menu on the beginning you do have microsoft apps that are pre-loaded but you can disable them if you don't want them a samsung galaxy app store is available for those who need to download some samsung specific applications that they're used to and the phone also has an fm radio but you need to plug in wired headsets those that are not included inside the box overall phone seems really responsive and as far as performance is concerned day-to-day performance from this device can be expected to be good as far as initial impressions are concerned we did run benchmarks and you can see the benchmark scores on the screen right now while playing pubg you will get medium graphics from the phone which is a good indicator of performance in this price category for mostly all games available on this device they will run well and perform good and we'll have more information when we do a thorough full review of the device now the cameras as far as the rear camera is concerned they are almost identical to that on the m10 and you get the same camera user interface with a beauty mode live focus pro mode which allows control over exposure value iso and white balance and then you also have a panorama mode along with stickers and a continuous burst shot mode if you flip the camera towards the front you do see a wider sort of frame in comparison to the m10 and you do get the same three options including live focus selfie and stickers i find that the live focus works slightly better on the m20 than the m10 and overall image quality from the front camera because it's an 8 megapixel camera seems finer and of better quality you can utilize the full screen to click pictures if that's something that you want and you can also customize the picture size whether you want a four is to three aspect ratio or a 16 to nine aspect ratio you will have to reduce the megapixels if you do want a bite screen photograph both the front and the rear camera capture 1080p video and we'll leave some camera samples for you on the screen right now now in the settings panel you will find your usual set of samsung customizations included one-handed operation screen lock type and lots of customizations to the display and the user interface for gamers more there is a game launcher which allows you to customize your game performance along with the game sound
