The Coolest Phone You’ve Never Heard Of…

**Unboxing the Unlikely Smartphone: The Doogee Mix**

Today, I'm excited to bring you a smartphone that's probably been overlooked by many of you - the Chinese phone from Doogee, a company that's making waves in North America with its ambitious design. I ordered this device straight from Aliexpress and waited patiently for it to arrive. Now that it's here, let me show you what's inside the package.

**First Impressions**

As I open the box, I'm greeted by a sleek and minimalist design. The phone itself is made of glass on both the front and back, with Gorilla Glass protection. It's clear that quality was a top priority for Doogee. I notice that there's also a screen protector, cloth, and a case included in the package. The case is a basic plastic affair, but it'll do the job. Now, let me take out the device and get familiar with it.

**The Device Itself**

As I lift up the phone, I'm struck by its sheer size and weight. This thing feels substantial, like a high-end device that's worth every penny. But wait, what's this? The bezel is almost nonexistent! I can barely see any frame around the screen at all. And look at that chin - it's a bit chunky, but I suppose that's to be expected from a budget-friendly phone. Now, let me take a closer look at the back of the device.

**Design Details**

The back of the phone features a unique design element - a little grip/slash stand on the bottom that pops out when you press it. It's clever and functional, if a bit gimmicky. There's also an earphone jack, which is always a welcome sight in this day and age. And of course, there's the microUSB port for charging. But what really catches my eye is the dual lens system on the back - Selective blur, mono mode, panorama, and pro mode are all available. That's some serious camera hardware right there.

**Testing Out the Camera**

Let me test out the camera to see how it performs in practice. *snaps a photo* Ah, nice! The image is clear and sharp, with good color reproduction. I also notice that there's a Beauty mode for the front-facing camera, which I'll have to try out later. But first, let's get back to the main camera.

**Fingerprint Scanner**

I want to test out the fingerprint scanner on this phone. *uses fingerprint* Whoa! The scanner is fast and accurate - no lag at all. It's clear that Doogee put a lot of thought into designing a user-friendly interface for this device. And speaking of which...

**Operating System and User Interface**

Now, let me boot up the phone and take a look at the operating system. *turns on phone* Ah, we have the Google Now Launcher, which is always a plus in my book. The UI feels familiar and responsive, even if it's not particularly flashy. And of course, there are all the usual Android features - apps, settings, notifications... it's all here.

**Comparison to the Galaxy S8**

Now that I've had a chance to play with the phone for a bit, let me compare it to the Galaxy S8, which is one of the most high-end smartphones out there. *holds up the Doogee Mix* This device feels and looks more premium than the S8, despite being significantly cheaper. The display on this phone may not be as vibrant or colorful, but it's clear and sharp - perfect for everyday use.

**The Verdict**

All in all, I'm impressed with the Doogee Mix. It may not have all the bells and whistles of a high-end smartphone, but it's clear that quality was prioritized in its design and construction. The camera is good, if not great, and the fingerprint scanner is fast and accurate. And at $200, this device offers incredible value for money. So if you're looking to buy a smartphone that will last you for a while without breaking the bank, I'd definitely recommend considering the Doogee Mix.
