office pay and then you can start the day with a full tank of gas somehow I go through like a tank of gas every day here elevation SL JZ props you get a little piece of paper that says how many liters of gas you took and then you pay in this little building it's usually somewhere between like 7,000 and 10,000 Yen which I think is somewhere between like $60 and $80 not too bad for guas at a racetrack today I'm going to be spending some time with Alexi what up hooray uh we're going to start off by just kind of going on higashi I think Alexi is going to give me some pointers maybe drive my car a little bit and then we'll probably wind up over at Nishi short or North Course and do some tandems yeah this is my favorite track here at Ebu because it's big and long and fast and high speed and it's good I drove it a little bit yesterday but just kind of like did one corner at a time and just kind of focused on my hand workk but uh should be fun we're getting get him at uh highspeed D1 Grand Prix levels in no time I went Airsoft thing one time with this and it took a BB straight to the the LCD so so what's the plan do you want me to drive around the track first yeah yeah go ahead so Alexi is a really really good driver I think the plan is he's just going to give me some pointers I might want to let these people go by me though oh you good just go if they come up behind you just um you know indicator and move over they've resurfaced it here so it's really grippy that part it's a new track surface I'm going to miss this car they're pretty big boats but they're good cars yeah see I love how you can just slide a corner and then relax yeah yeah yeah they're big they're big good Corners to ride here go flat out so usually you start drifting here yeah it's pretty crazy not enough angle yeah it's It's Tricky second gear yeah yeah for the bottom of the hill uhh about middle of the track and then go a little bit left and hand breake don't clutch kick third gear or second second okay here and handbrake okay Power steer into it steer into it good save the gear go a bit wider and hand go to the right yeah hand Breer second second ready and now you weren't aggressive enough that's it y see good do you know me to drift this section or no see those TI marks yeah yeah that's why so those are the main Corners other than that one up there yep yeah it's three sort of long sweeping Corners there you go yeah good do you normally link these two or straight yeah I usually link this you do yeah well then you say not to drift that well I'm not saying not to but it's it's very tricky because you really need to carry a lot of speed coming down the hill okay so you go middle line then go left and yep okay go go faster and start start earlier start about okay now there you go there you go little inside but so you can hit that cor you can hit the corners here with a lot more speed than you think just have to obviously enter earlier yeah exactly sorry too early too slow all right well even see like that see it's faster so you have more speed now it's all about speed yep whoa that was all right it's B to happen stall yeah it's just a matter of you know gauging your your speeds and stuff usually the really good guys you you're linking the whole track basically like that you come out of the hair pin come down the hill tip it in go all the way down that last corner and then up here and then you run all the way out to the outside to get as much speed as possible and then tip it in over the crest and Link it with a three motion I'm sorry my car's broken otherwise I'd show you yeah so right after this Crest yep and now second yes yes little inside but woo that was good thanks yeah hey you got that one that's good that yeah you got that corner okay good and go that's it yep that's it that felt better didn't it yeah I think what I was doing before I was going too straight at it where I have to kind of like let the body weight kind of more look at Adam I just like to show you some stuff this is the sort of thing that evu is famous for these sorts of missile cars that just basically look like junkyard cars right now you may have heard that recently the rules have changed de Su and these sorts of things aren't allowed they sort of are and aren't but uh you got to hand it to them for engineering and they all seem to have more than enough spare parts lying around to fix any sort of trouble which is uh something which will definitely happen in AB Su if you drive here you will have car trouble as you've seen with Adam's car but these sorts of cars never have trouble because anything that's anything that can go wrong to them already has so they can't get any worse but obviously the best thing about Matsuri is the people who come here everyone here is just to have a good time and that's it there's nothing there's no ego there's nothing else it's just driving and having a good time Party People Party People U is for party drift Grand Prix it's a competition open only to huh I never knew that it says far look it says gin here is that a negative thing no no it just means far enough improve well yeah it's just it just mean gu it's not a negative it's well it's all about context isn't it I mean all those sorts of words anyway uh it's a competition only for foreigners and they hold it the Friday before the actual matery and the best thing about it is that it's judged by kumako and suaga who are both D1 Grand Prix drivers and know these track better than anyone in the whole country so it's a really good chance to enter a drift competition in another country and get some experience under your belt so that that's another reason why it's great to come here uh to AB during the drift Matsuri looks like Taylor actually hit me a little bit I didn't even know that bum what you got to say for yourself I should have hit him up here you should have put on the door yeah that's the cool place to do I was trying to hunting for us because we're not old people that like to go hunt antiques in the United States up crash up crash look at up Crush why they made them look at those Wheels all the wheels 18in vogs for 200 bucks oh wait is this 2,000 the stuff here is in really good condition so it's like really expensive I just want baller Wheels his bride sweet but it's super expensive no I want we're hubc cap hunting trying to find cool hubc caps or no wait these aren't Hunter caps I guess they're center caps found a couple cool work ones these ones are sweet we drove about 40 minutes to a place called coriyama and found oursel at this place called round one which is apparently like this Mega arcade thing but we're in like this cool little Plaza uh it looks like lots of cool Plaza stuff inside CU there's flashing lights and cool letters show them the red light show them a 34 that's a 34 E are 34 When in Rome eat McDonald's did we go to like the kitty level or something this is interesting milky's our translator tonight wait do you do you speak Japanese no but I've been here before so I understand I know go same thing bowling some roller skating this is where we are going to be the whole time massage chairs see how these things work how do we get people to come serve us drinks I'm pretty sure this is all like anime and Comics this is actually a thing they have hoverboarding here so this game is actually really fun we like pick up these balls off the floor and you got to throw them at people on the screen but you can actually hit the people on the other side too so like just hitting each other it's really cool someone throw in a hit start so I can show them bad at this look at that I'm coming down fast expect this I'm coming down fast watch out you got to hold your legs up coming down fast look at this slide all right we found the real massage chairs right here make it just wait for it dude things are going to hit VTEC what I find really cool about this place is it's an arcade but you pay when you go in and I think it's about 20 bucks and then all the games are free so it's not like in the states where I feel like most arcades you have to keep paying for games you just go have fun hey M we're running the dirt bikes you want to join sure a wheel it how's it feel taking the win these are sick this guy's killing it look at that this place is a great date environment it's like an indoor playground I love this place Alexis's led us into a Don kote this is donot Don kote is the best store in Japan because they have everything as you'll soon see holy cow this is crazy prepare to lose all of your life it's so cluttered and there's so much but it's so interesting I feel like you can literally wander around the store for hours he's wearing Co jeans he's wearing so cool wherever you look there's some sort of signage trying to convince you to buy something it's crazy they have crane games for anything and everything you can imagine endless cranes what's weird that I've noticed here every time I go to get ice cream they don't actually have like normal soft serve it's like these little packets that they pull out of the freezer and they put it in a machine and then it makes ice cream this thing sweet traveling has me a bit behind on videos I'm really sorry but tomorrow will be a great one it's my last day at eisu and we check out some night to Drifting in Japan on the streets check out Alexi's Channel noro he's an awesome dude you guys are awesome Japan is awesome I'll see you tomorrow when you say that you love me that you lovemost of my
