A Countdown to Christmas: Day Two of Bugas with Emmy

Greetings my lovelies, hi it's Emmy welcome back to day two of bug Mist 2016 so this is a little countdown to Christmas for the next 5 days until Christmas I shall be eating a new type of insect and if you missed last year's installment of bugas I shall put the playlist down in the description box so you can see other insect eating as well today I'll be eating termites flying termites here they are say new colors no preserva is boiled and dehydrated not fried and there's no MSG Wings removed well I was hoping that they would look nice and dramatic like that but if the wings have been removed they won't at any rate termites are the wood eating insects that attack houses and rotted wood so let's see how they taste

Ooh a little ziplock bag of termites these two smell like dried mushrooms have kind of a musty earthy smell to them not as strong as a black ants though not Pleasant and let's shake them out they're pretty small they're about the size of a grain of rice kind of hard all right let's give them a taste. They like Mo m in terms of crunch it kind of reminds me of a partially popped popcorn kernel you know like when you have popcorn and you have a few that are a little bit popped at the bottom and they're a little bit firm but still slightly popped kind of like that kind of similar flavor too very nutty and toasted and a little bit oily as well although on here it says these have been boiled and dehydrated not fried which I'm surprised because these taste a little bit oily. It's a lighter crunch the black ants that I had had a very tough kind of exterior while these are lighter and they don't kind of scratch while they go down these definitely taste Savory and kind of rich and crunchy and pretty good snack actually I think they added a little bit of salt in there too because it taste pretty significantly salty but I like them all right.
