My Favorite Things for February

As I sit here reflecting on my favorite things from this month, I have to say that spring is finally starting to feel like its own season. Not just because it's warming up outside, but also because I've been investing in some great new pieces to add to my wardrobe. One of the things I'm really loving right now is an oversized cotton blue and white button down shirt from H&M. It's literally just a super simple and comfortable piece that I can wear anywhere, whether it's to the office or just running errands. The best part? It's made from 100% cotton, which means it's breathable and soft against my skin.

I've had this exact style of shirt for years, actually - five years, to be exact. And while it was great in its time, it's starting to fall apart a bit. That's why I invested in a higher-quality version from H&M, and I have to say that it's been a total game-changer. The fit is still super relaxed and comfortable, but now the shirt has a level of quality and durability that I never experienced with my old one. Plus, there's just something about the way the fabric feels that makes me feel like I'm wearing the best version of myself.

Speaking of great purchases, I've been loving some amazing music lately too. This month has definitely been defined by Casey Musgraves - her album "Golden Hour" is literally on repeat at work and home right now. There's just something about her voice that speaks to me in a way that few other artists do, and the way she writes songs is so effortless and poetic. I've also been loving Maggie Rogers' new album (which was released last year but I'm still catching up), as well as The 1975. And of course, who could forget Pale Waves? They're another one of my favorite female-fronted bands right now, with their catchy hooks and infectious energy.

As for TV shows, I've been absolutely loving "Clay and Joe" - the way they watch and discuss all these different shows together is just so fun to follow. We're currently on season 7 of "Friends", which feels like it's going by really fast! It's crazy how quickly those ten seasons flew by, and I'm a little sad that we're already halfway through. But at the same time, it's exciting to think about all the great episodes still to come.

On the book front, I've been re-watching "Avatar: The Last Airbender" with my brother - we're currently on season 3, which is just as good as I remembered it being all those years ago. And let me tell you, Clay has really gotten into anime now too! He's a total fan of the Legend of Korra series, and I'm excited to see what he thinks of some other shows we'll be watching in the coming months.

In addition to reality TV shows like "Survivor" and "The Challenge", which are always so good at this time of year. The latest season of Survivor is definitely one that has me hyped - Joe's back, after all! And I love how those challenges are always pushing contestants to their limits in such creative ways.

Last but not least, we've also been watching a couple of movies and documentaries this month. "Watch Fire Festival" was an absolute wild ride (in the best possible way), with its crazy stunts and absurd humor. And if you're looking for something a little more serious, I'd definitely recommend checking out "Kidnapped in Plain Sight". It's just so infuriating to watch - but also really thought-provoking and eye-opening at the same time.

exciting things this month and i'm super excited to share with you all so without further ado let's go ahead and dive right in the first item i'm actually going to talk about is one that i don't usually have as a topic of conversation on my channel and that is bras but as a woman and i'm sure a lot of you can relate bras are really important and actually like impact how you're feeling on a daily basis look who's decided to join me but yes i'm gonna be talking about some bras on in this video because i have found some bras that personally really made my life a lot better i'm also really happy and honored to say that i am partnering with truanco for this video go is honestly just a really cool company it's an online community of women who have had one common goal since they've been founded to make and find the best and most comfortable bra for women everywhere and over the past six years they've compiled over 130 million facts and 40 000 comments from real women to inform the types of products they're creating and they basically just celebrate that women don't all look the exact same and because of that there needs to be lots of different sizes and lots of different fits to make all women feel really beautiful and empowered and comfortable which is a really big thing for me that being said i did pick up a few bras from them earlier this month and i'm not kidding they're the most comfortable things in the entire world i'm wearing one now um and one of the really big things i love about them is that they're so seamless under clothing i was a big bandeau wear in the past but i didn't love especially when i was at work that they could sometimes like the texture could be seen through my clothes um so i particularly like these because they're so seamless under the garments you're wearing on top but more than that i'll show you my favorite um they don't have any wires and they are stretchy and seriously so comfortable so seamless and they're also really beautiful i got muted tones because that's personally what i like but they have lots of different color and pattern options as well um yeah they you literally forget that you're wearing them and i am just in love with them so i got this beautiful shaped one and then this one which i really like because it's almost like a sports bra so it's very versatile and just works really great under sweaters and t-shirts and stuff like that again so comfortable no wires no um claps or snaps or anything that like can dig in i will have all this information linked down below as well as a link to the site if you guys are interested in taking your own body quiz but really i can't endorse these enough they're so comfortable and i have never gone back ever already moving on to the rest of the clothing items for this video the first one is actually a pair of shoes and it's a new pair of nosolos as you guys know nasolo is my favorite shoemaker and i have finally picked up their oxford these i believe are called the james oxford and i got them an almond they're gonna be amazing for springtime it's still a little too cold to wear these right now too much ankle to be shown in new york city but i just think they're so nice and very professional they're gonna be great to wear to the office and also just around with dresses with jeans with button-downs i am so in love with them i also think they're gonna weather really well um like i almost want them to have a little more like crinkliness does that make sense but anyway i got these pumped next up is a pair of jeans i picked up in november and have been wearing them so much so i just wanted to talk about them again they are the curvy high-rise skinny jeans from madewell i have been solely transitioning all of my jeans that i have to the curvy version from madewell and it is just another life-changing thing like finding clothes that fit you can really really up your confidence and that is how i feel about these jeans um they're just great like i finally just feel like the cut is made for someone who's a bit more pear-shaped so i highly recommend checking these out these are in the lucille wash with the dark wash but they're coming out with more and more shades and cuts in the curvy and i'm gonna continue to pick up more i think they're just so great they fit true to size so if you're a size 27 waist buy that uh just the cut of the jeans will be more in line for like a more pear shape um yeah they're great they're sturdy yet stretchy incredible love these jeans so much another favorite from madewell i have just been wearing non-stop since i picked it up in december is this cardigan it's basically now the only cardigan i own after buying this i've donated most of my cardigans because nothing can be better than this one it's this uh this guy here it's technically a sweater coat which is what makes it so great because you can wear it on top of other sweaters or as like a light layer by itself like this can be the coat but it's also incredible underneath thicker coats as well as like a secondary layer it's also perfect for the office it's nice and sturdy heavy duty washes super well it comes in a variety of different colors i got gray but i still think this is still on stock online it's funny because uh there's like a quad of co-workers uh near my desk and we all have purchased this basically my co-worker got it first she was wearing it and i was like i need that so i bought it and then since then two other co-workers have also purchased this sweater coat office approved okay it's amazing and one of my favorite things i own by far next was a very appropriate valentine's day sweater also from madewell we all know i love to shop there it's just heart sweater i don't know i thought it was so cute uh it also comes in like a tan color with maroon hearts but i really like the gray i again love a good theme had to embrace valentine's day bought a heart sweater wore it a lot this month because how could i not it's so festive and who doesn't love love you know and the last two clothing items i'm gonna show off are my first two spring purchases i have been eyeing the saison la collection such a dropped in january but i wanted to wait till the weather was going to warm up a little bit before i purchased so i finally caved mid feb and i bought them um the first one is this beautiful embroidered white cotton button-down there's so many things about this i love but first the delicate embroidery but the scallop detail along the collar down the front and also on the sleeves i think is just so lovely and i'm obsessed with it it's just a lot of things i love i really love cotton shirts button downs the embroidery it's just very sweet and feminine but not too delicate because it's inherently still like a shirt um so yeah i'm a huge fan of this i'm glad i picked it up before it sold out and the second and last thing i'm gonna show off that i picked up from saison is a really great basic and it is literally just this oversized cotton blue and white button down i have a shirt like this that i've owned for about five years and i wear it all the time it's kind of falling apart it's from h m so i donated that and invested in a higher quality cotton version um 100 cotton and it's just so great it's like the perfect oversized shirt fit so it still really fits in the shoulders but it kind of has that like easy casual vibe which i'm just a huge fan of yeah so i grabbed these two things these are my two spring purchases so far of the year i'm trying to control myself because it's still cold outside so i'm trying not to buy anything that i can't wear right away because both of these shirts i can wear it at the office with that madewell sweater cardigan on top and a coat so i'm trying to control myself until it gets a little warmer and then it's going to be dress season now moving on into a television shows music and movies first off music i would say this month has definitely been defined by casey musgraves i love her and i listen to that album on repeat all the time at work at home it's so good i just love golden hour so much i also love casey musgraves i want to be her kind of pretty much and so i'm just so happy to have found this album still really loving the new maggie rogers album and of course the 1975. excited to say that i bought 1975 tickets and i'm seeing them in may something i'm really looking forward to another band that i've been really loving this month as well is pale waves another female lead band and i just think they have some really good bops so i've been really liking them as well i would say those are definitely the main albums i've had on rotation this month it's been a really good music month for me i don't know i've just been having a really good time jamming out to some ladies moving on to tv shows clay and i are almost on season seven of friends i feel like our watch of friends is going by super fast we're gonna be done soon there's only ten seasons which when we started this felt like it was gonna last us years but we're on season seven zooming through it i have to say so far i think season five was my favorite so far i just think the characters were just kind of peak selves and they were so funny um yeah something clay and i've been really enjoying doing together also on book three of avatar the last airbender we're really almost done with finishing this as well which is sad but like it was such a joy to rewatch i had forgotten so much going into it and i know now clay is super into it as well he's already requested that we watch legend of korra soon but first we're gonna watch fullmetal alchemist brotherhood as i really think he'll like that as well so i would say getting clay into anime successful also i personally have been trying to watch more anime myself i've started one with my brother and it's called my hero academia uh it's on hulu i'm on season one i've only seen a few episodes but i'm really liking it so far and i'm really trying to watch more anime in 2019 because it's something i used to love to do i watched so much and i just kind of stopped so i'm trying to restart that and with the reboot of fruits baskets coming out in spring i need to be ready for that so i'm so ready for that but i need to be more ready for that in addition to reality tv shows to note newest season of survivor is airing excited about this one joe is back what more can i say and the newest season of the challenge is airing and it's already so good there's people from love island on it my worlds are colliding love a good reality competition show and i have also seen a couple of movies this month as well we aren't total failures in the movie department which is a shock watch fire festival which was just absolutely bonkers it's crazy entertaining um and just insane and we also watched kidnapped in plain sight which was just infuriating is the way i would describe it i don't really want to spoil either of those two documentaries they're both very good so i would recommend watching them but kidnapped in plain sight just as a warning you'll be screaming at your television and just absolutely shocked uh while you're watching it so yeah alrighty guys those are all of my favorites for the month of february so down below some favorites you have this
