iOS 12.1.3 Beta 4 Released - What's New

The Current State of iOS Beta 4: An In-Depth Analysis

The current state of iOS beta 4 has been extensively tested, and we're here to dive into what's new and what's changed since the last release. The build number for this version is 16D5.0.3.9, which suggests that it might be the final GM build before the official release of iOS 12.1.3 next week.

One of the notable changes in beta 4 is the updated modem firmware, which has been upgraded to version 2.01.0.3.8 from 2.01.0.7. This update may address some connectivity issues reported by users on beta 3, including cell signal cutouts and dropped Wi-Fi connections. It's essential to note that this change is specific to the modem firmware and might not affect other aspects of the operating system.

Another topic of discussion among users was the issue with photos being deleted or lost after installing iOS 12.1 point one point three beta 3. However, in this version, we can confirm that no photos were missing from the update. It appears that this issue was specific to a certain device and may have been caused by user error rather than a widespread problem.

Some users reported that the scrolling mechanism feels different on their devices with beta 4. While the author of this article hasn't noticed any changes in scrolling behavior, it's essential to acknowledge that some people might experience a distinct effect. If you've also noticed something unusual about scrolling, please let us know in the comments section below.

In addition, we can confirm that one of the known issues from beta 3 has been fixed: settings no longer freeze when deleting default applications. Users who experienced this issue on previous versions may appreciate the improvement.

The performance and battery life of iOS 12.1 point one point three are expected to be similar to those of its predecessor, 12.1 point one point two. This means that users can expect the same overall experience without any significant changes in terms of power consumption or processing speed.

One final note is the presence of the Feedback app in beta 4. While it's unclear if this will be present in the final release, it's worth mentioning that iOS 12.1 point one point three may still include some features or apps that were not available on previous versions. As always, we'll keep an eye out for any updates and provide you with detailed analysis as more information becomes available.

Overall, the current state of iOS beta 4 seems to address many issues reported by users on beta 3, including connectivity problems and freezing settings. However, some users have noted that scrolling feels different on their devices, which may be worth investigating further. As we wait for the official release of iOS 12.1 point three next week, we'll continue to monitor the situation and provide you with updates as more information becomes available.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys my name is Brandon and today Apple released iOS 12 point 1.3 beta for just a few days after releasing beta 3 so yeah it seems the Apple is back to moving very swiftly with these beta releases we did have a big timeframe you know a big gap in between beta 2 and beta 3 but that was mainly because of the holidays but it seems that now Apple is back to pumping out these updates very regularly so yeah we have beta 4 here and as you can see it is also a small update just like beta 3 at 104 megabytes here on my iPhone 10 R which of course did come from beta 3 so let's go ahead and take a look at the build number and then talk about if anything has changed at all here in beta 4 so you can see right here the build number is 16 D 5 0 3 9 a and given the last two build numbers there's a very good chance that this is the GM build and that we'll be seeing the final version up twelve point one point three being released next week and we'll touch on that more near the end of the video but let's talk about what else has changed here with beta 4 besides just the build number so the first thing that I noticed here with beta 4 that changed is the modem firmware got updated twos 1.0 point three point zero eight so it was at point seven before now it's at point eight so if you were having issues with cell connectivity then you definitely wants to go ahead and update to beta four because this could definitely fix anything that you had any kind of issues you had on beta 3 now I personally haven't had any issues with beta 3 but I have been reading on forms that people were having their cells signal cut out people are having their Wi-Fi drop and everything on beta 3 it seems to just be a consistent thing it seems to not even matter if new updates get released this has been going on since twelve point one point one so not sure if it's ever gonna end but we did get the modem firmware update here with beta for now another thing that people talk to me about a lot when I made my beta 3 video was my photos so people were asking me if my photos got deleted and I can confirm then no no photos get deleted I think that was just you know people saw I device helps video and come just figured that it was a widespread thing I don't think so I mean I don't know if it happen to anybody else so no no photos were missing from this update I don't believe I've ever seen that before with an iOS update so you don't have to worry about updating you know in the future thinking you're gonna lose your photos that's just not going to happen there's a very low chance of that happening to you now another thing that somebody in my comments section mentioned is that the scrolling kind of feels different people kind of agreed with them as well in the comments section that they're scrolling for some reason the effect that it has feels different on their device now I can't really say that it feels different to me at least not on the 10r you know it could have something to do with the whole qualcomm lawsuit and everything but if you've noticed anything different with scrolling if it just feels different doesn't feel natural to you let me know down in a comment below because it feels the same to me but it seemed like some people were saying that the scrolling did feel a little bit different starting with beta 3 now another change in beta 4 it's actually not beta 4 its beta 3 as well happen in beta 3 is that these settings don't seem to be freezing anymore if you did delete default application so since like twelve point one point two and then into twelve point one point three the betas settings would sometimes freeze if you deleted any of the default applications but doesn't seem to be the case anymore and I actually experienced the settings freezing only one time and it was on I believe like beta two of iOS twelve point one point two but it never happened again but according to forum post it seems to have been fixed in beta three but yeah I side from that the performance and the battery life are gonna be the exact same as twelve point one point three beta three and overall twelve point one point three the battery life and the performance feels exactly the same as twelve point one point two so don't expect any kind of big change there and do notice that we do still have the feedback application so this may or may not be the GM built it's kind of hard to say but I would expect the final release of iOS twelve point one point three either next week or the following week and then after twelve point one point three gets released I'm hoping that we will get iOS twelve point to the first beta of twelve point - but just stay tuned to the channel for all that so yeah that is it for twelve point one point three beta four if you install this let me know how it's running for you down in the comment section below if you're running any other version of twelve point one point three let me know down in the comment below how it has been treating your device and if you guys enjoyed the video make sure to give it a thumbs up also make sure to subscribe for a lot more iOS beta updates but anyways guys
