**Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) Review**
The Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) has arrived with several notable upgrades over its predecessor. One of the first things you'll notice is the improved battery life, which now allows for up to six straight hours of listening and about four charging cycles out of the case.
**New Case Features**
The new case comes with a built-in wrist strap, keychain, and trinket loop, making it easier to attach accessories. Additionally, this case can be charged using Apple's magnetic watch charger in addition to Qi and lightning, which is a convenient feature but may not be essential for everyone.
**Sound Quality and Active Noise Cancellation**
On the inside, these Gen 2 AirPods Pro have new hardware that improves overall sound quality according to Apple. While they don't quite reach the levels of some high-end earbuds like Sony's 1000x Mark IV, they do an excellent job killing environmental noises and taking down unwanted sounds.
Active noise cancellation is reportedly 2x better than before in these AirPods Pro. The second-generation models have caught up with their predecessors in terms of active noise canceling capabilities. Music and video sound quality also improved but may not impress those looking for deep bass.
**Field Test**
In a field test, the reviewer found that the noise cancellation was indeed strong and clear utility of these AirPods definitely seems to be improved. The reviewer noted that Apple tuned their headphones to sound good everywhere but not great anywhere.
**Expert Opinion**
A second opinion from an expert praised the AirPods Pro (2nd generation), stating that they sound good, have strong noise cancellation, and are easy to use. They felt that $250 is a reasonable price for these earbuds, especially considering their everyday utility and compatibility with Apple devices.
The reviewer concludes by saying that if you're looking for a solid but not spectacular upgrade from your older AirPods Pros, the second-generation models are worth considering. If you're buying earphones or headphones for everyday use and want something that works well across multiple Apple devices, the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) is a safe choice.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enI just picked up a pair of airpods Pro 2 the sequel to one of Apple's most popular products while appearances would suggest that not much has changed for this generation there are some pretty neat improvements under the hood that make these a worthy upgrade let's talk about it as always here on denki channel this isn't going to be a full comprehensive review but rather some key points that stood out to me in the week that I spent with the airpods pro 2. and this is especially as someone that's owned every single pair of airpods all the way up to the airpods max I'm starting with this point not because I want to flex but rather because I gotta be honest for the life of me I can't find my airpods Pro or airpods 3 to make embarrassments with whatever Vortex they got sucked into falling out of my pocket must be pretty deep because I have not seen them in quite some time which brings me to my absolute favorite feature of the second generation Pros find my functionality built into the charging case Apple essentially turned this into a watered-down air tag by integrating their Ultra wide band U1 chip into it this means that in addition to letting you know if or when you leave your airpods behind you can also get fairly precise tracking within a close range when using the find my app on your iPhone distance readouts and a built-in homing speaker still does plenty for zeroing in on where they are I'll take any meaningful features that let my singular brain cell keep better tabs on my airpods just make sure to keep the case charged otherwise the find my app will only be able to tell you its last known location well I'm going to talk about how the new airpods PRO Sound in just a moment I want to point out the general Vibe I've been getting from it which is that the changes made this time around are pretty well-rounded no singular aspect in particular is gonna blow your socks away but altogether they improve the quality of life experience compared to the predecessor for example new to this year are touch sensitive controls on the airpod stem what was once just a button for simple controls is now open to intuitive finger gestures to change volume without reaching for your device which many people including myself have wanted for quite some time it does this in preset increments with 16 stops of adjustment to get sound to a comfy level but best of all it's really hard to trigger accidentally unlike my other favorite pair of touch sensitive earbuds the Sony 1000x mark IV I had a nickel for every time I've turned off noise canceling another feature that just makes sense is a metal lanyard Loop built right into the case that you can use to add wrist straps keychains little trinkets you can also now charge this new case with Apple's magnetic watch charger in addition to Qi and lightning kind of a gratuitous feature but I can see how it can be handy in some special circumstances on that note the battery is better as well for the pods themselves we're talking up to six straight hours of listening and about four charging Cycles out of the case additionally just as a note you'll have to do your research down the line to see how these hold up in the long run since airpods tend to have wishy-washy battery health after a while again none of these features will blow your socks off but they're certainly welcome quality of life improvements for the new airpods Pro on the inside these Gen 2 airpods Pro have new hardware which Apple says improves overall sound quality and to their credit these do sound better active noise canceling is set to be 2x better than before and I believe it the pros do an excellent job killing most environmental noises like Appliance hum wind and air conditioning while taking things like train track squeals jet engines and crying babies down a notch when you're traveling if I'm comparing these to my other favorites the Sony 1000x mark IV which had bested the original airpods pro at time of release the new Pros have caught up which is good news for those hardcore riding the ecosystem active noise canceling is one thing but how your music and videos actually sound is a whole other and the new airpods Pro improves on the same sound profile as its predecessor aiming to blanket make everything sound good do you speak English no I don't sorry the second generation's updated driver and processing gets you deeper richer base and detailed trouble you won't get those head thumping lows like you would find on those Sony 1000x Mark IVs so those listening to genres like hip-hop or electronic might find that these are lacking a bit but despite this the new Pros offered detailed sound across the board which makes sense considering the sheer amount of people Apple sells these products to and while you can set EQ profiles in the iOS settings to match your preferences it would be nice to get a good old graphic equalizer for fine tuning even for as basic as it is the Five band setup built into Sony's headphone companion app does a whole lot to balance out my thousand x mark IVs as well as the other audio accessories I get from them but it's Apple so it'll never happen but won't stop me from yelling into the void so especially as someone that needed another pair of air pods anyway at 249 bucks the price sent but wait a little bit and we'll probably see some sale prices as we head toward holiday season especially since I think a couple of days after launch it was like ten dollars off on Amazon but for a second opinion from an expert let's go on a little field trip try these out okay so I'll first say the noise cancellation that's like strong hello hello hello it actually sounds a little bit clearer utility of these airpods definitely seems to be improved got some Anderson Puck the way I think the Apple tuned their headphones they tuned it to sound good everywhere but not great anywhere you know what's funny I said the exact same thing did you really yeah that was that's exactly my help perfect I watched the earlier cut of this video and just stole everything from Ken at Price 250 what do you think I think 250 is reasonable I mean certainly on the very high end of earbuds if you're considering buying airpods Pros I think you'll be very happy with these if you're upgrading from your older airpods Pros that are probably getting a little bit older you know with my battery life and whatnot these are going to be a solid noticeable but not spectacular upgrade I think if you're gonna buy some earphones some headphones for utility for everyday use for a bunch of Apple devices it's tough to go wrong with the airpods pro let me know what you guys think of the second generation airpods Pro in the comments
