Installing Modified Chromium on Tinker Board to Run Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Video

We're going to be installing a modified version of chromium for this just like we did with the Raspberry Pi and I'll leave a link down below if you want to know how to run Netflix in Hulu on your Raspberry Pi 3. This comes to us from the Tinkerboard forums and I'm not sure how to pronounce his name so I'm not going to butcher it but if you do use this please sign up for the Forum and go thank him personally he has a whole right up here on how to install this.

I created a text document that you can download from the link in the description, put it on your Tinkerboard and copy and paste all of this. You'll be good to go. He has a download link here for the package we're going to need to install. The problem is as of making this video there is an error inside of this package I did fix it with another download link but in a couple days he'll update this and keep an eye on this post here because he Updates this frequently and performance is only getting better.

So first thing we're going to do is download the text document and this is super simple to do. We just need to copy and paste these so I'm just going to go and download the Netflix package that I uploaded Dropbox download link you can download it directly on the Tinker board itself download direct download. So we now have the package downloaded we can close the browser out we're going to open up our downloads directory make sure you have this in your downloads directory.

We now need to open up terminal so we'll go to system tools LX terminal number one update your system just going to run a quick update on Tinker OS for us. Next thing we're going to do is install p7zip this will allow us to double click on the package we downloaded and extract it to the downloads directory make sure you press Y and enter now we're going to go to our downloads directory double click on the Netflix package that we downloaded right here is the extraction button.

And we want to extract it directly in the down downloads folder so that's done extracting. Now from terminal we need to point to the downloads directory it'll be CD downloads so we now have our terminal pointed to the downloads directory we need to take ownership of the install.sh that he created for us and we're going to install the package all we need to do now is reboot the system so I'm going to go down here log out reboot.

So now that we're rebooted all we're going to do is go to our internet selection and we should have a new Option chromium web browser user this is the Chromium browser that we're going to use to access Netflix Hulu and Amazon video. I don't have an Amazon account or Amazon video so I could only test Hulu and Netflix but I have heard that Amazon works it might be a little slow I have not tested it though I'm just going to go to Netflix and Hulu.

I'm going to sign in real quick I'm going to skip my signin process and I'll show you that we're streaming all right guys so it seems that my Hulu account has expired so I'm not going to be able to show you that in this video super sorry but I'm not signing back up for Hulu I'm I'm done with Hulu. But if you do use it it does work As Long as You Follow the steps correctly.

Netflix on the other hand is a different story I always have Netflix just in case so I'm going to go ahead and stream a show really quick I don't really know what to stream here but anything will work so I'll go with killer kids this is an interesting horrible show um life enjoyed being with the kids his own age of course as you see it's working go through here age bully a broken young man is hiding at 14 he writes in his diary that he is so I'm going to go back and I'll stream one more show for you.

It does work pretty well and I'm at 1080p so it is streaming at 1080p we go to occult crimes named rodri rri frell during their interrog jeans in which he finds a wallet with a discovery credit card they were trying to find the keys to the Explorer that they were going to steal the vehicle so that's it for now guys.
